She's The Man (Re-release) Jun 19, 2023

Show notes

While Chelsea finds the timing *suspicious* (and is also launching an investigation against the witch from Passions, Tabitha, and her doll, Timmy) .... there were forces beyond the Cute Ones' control this week. So, please enjoy a re-release of a previously recorded episode from December 2021. The sound may be potato adjacent, but the chaos is very much on brand. If you want to support us, please consider rating this podcast 5 stars! (Or, subscribe to our patreon!) We'll be back with a brand new episode just as fast as we can! xoxo ttyl lylas, Chelsea and Donny

The Day After Tomorrow (w/ Chelsea's brother!) Jun 12, 2023

Show notes

It’s Chelsea’s birthday! And to celebrate, her brother is back after his first “surprisingly great” (- Donny and Roger Ebert, probably) appearance to recap “The Day After Tomorrow.” The three discuss the science behind disaster movies, water sports, crazy flight stories, and… the mating rituals of lions? And, because this month is Donny’s ninth circle of hell, Chelsea’s brother brings a homemade chart breaking down the different types of disaster movies.

Pretty Woman Jun 05, 2023

Show notes

Listening to this episode? Big mistake. Huge. Because to kick off the start of Chelchella 2023, Donny and Chelsea are alone to cover "Pretty Woman" - and we know how unhinged the duo is without a guest. They begin the episode by putting an end to Plungergate before they discuss the un-Disney'fied original ending, debate the semantics of a "romcom," and list the top 3 reasons why Richard Gere's character is awful. They also decide where they'd draw the line when it comes to sex work rules, Chelsea's #discocowboy summer begins, and the Cuties submit their most specific red flags.

American Pie (w/ Emily Hanks) May 29, 2023

Show notes

What a better way to celebrate Memorial Day than watching a movie that sums up the American experience perfectly: American Pie. And to recap it, Donny and Chelsea are joined by Emily Hanks, host of "She Speaks Bravo" and "She Speaks It All!" The movie may not be mean (thanks, Rog!), but it is... a lot of other bad things (this movie... does not age well, even though there's only a few pie thrusts!) The three relive their worst bedroom experiences and discuss fuzzy porn, hot cartoon characters, and which household items can be used as... toys. Also, Emily shares behind the scenes stories from the movie and her bedroom antics with someone you've seen on your TV (maybe). Suck me, beautiful!

The Lizzie McGuire Movie (w/ Jasmine Monroe) May 22, 2023

Who better to cover the 20th anniversary of The Lizzie McGuire Movie than a jet-setting fashion icon of our own, Big Brother 24's Jasmine Monroe? She, along with Donny & Chelsea, discuss grocery store coloring contests, CatDog, Disney Channel stereotypes, and talking to strangers. Then, the Cuties submit their most mortifying moments of public humiliation and Jasmine shares why she and her sister stopped speaking for six months.

Bruce Almighty (w/ Christine Biancavilla) May 15, 2023

Show notes

Chelsea may hate Jim Carrey, but she and Donny are still covering "Bruce Almighty" with the help of returning Cutie, Christine Biancavilla, and if she thought her appearance on their "Never Been Kissed" episode was unhinged - well, God (or Bruce) help her. They also discuss the social norms of being late, news bloopers, and how Jennifer Aniston is always paired with men that she's better than. Then, they ponder what their first plan of action would be if they got God powers (Spoiler alert: Donny did... not understand the prompt.) Also, Reba is everywhere and more Bubba Gump Shrimp Company secrets are revealed. Enter at your own risk (because... well, you'll find out.)

Best is different than favorite, but Dakota Wright is here to prove that Clueless is both! While Dakota is our self-identified Cher, Donny shares how he would get extra credit by telling his teachers he was getting extra credit. Then, the three discuss the worst mid-party makeovers, cooking on dates, backseat drivers, and failing the driver's test. Also, Chelsea reveals more family secrets.

Blue Crush (w/Robyn Schall) May 01, 2023

Show notes

Since Robyn Schall's (@robynschallcomic, Call Waiting with Robyn Schall) ex-boyfriend saw Blue Crush, we knew she was the perfect choice to join Donny and Chelsea to cover the movie. In addition to this extended Youtube video, the three also eating leftover food (possibly out of a dumpster), Donny's beautiful eyes, and its similarities to Center Stage. Also, Chelsea still can't swim (but she can eat Wendy's!)

Forgetting Sarah Marshall (w/ Kara Berry) Apr 24, 2023

Show notes

Donny and Chelsea may be Forgetting Sarah Marshall today, but they could never forget Kara Berry, the host of Everyone's Business But Mine. Before they get to the movie, Donny draws the line at what is musically "too far," but more importantly - will Kelly Clarkson no longer record songs with Reba? Then, Chelsea finally shares her voodoo doll story, and Donny reveals why his husband is still mad at him about their honeymoon luau. Also, Chelsea would see the Dracula puppet show but doesn't want to see a flaccid penis.

First Daughter (w/@Lucyontheground) Apr 17, 2023

Show notes

Hail to the ch...Katie Holmes! In honor of Leighton Meester's birthday, Donny and Chelsea are covering a movie that has nothing to do with her - First Daughter! We're not getting political, but Lucy (@lucyontheground) joins the hosts to educate Donny on the fashions (and not fashions) of the early 2000s while Chelsea gives tips to avoid trombone people in college. Also, Chelsea and Donny realize how they know each other from their past lives, and... the math isn't mathing with the relationship in this movie.
