Goosebumps: One Day At HorrorLand By R.L Stine Aug 21, 2023

Show notes

With their new book club underway, Donny and Chelsea get Goosebumps as they spend One Day at HorrorLand, where they are met with a lot of cliffhangers that really take the action to the next level. JUST KIDDING - the cliffhangers in this book go nowhere! The duo also talk about bowel movements, escape rooms, road trips gone bad, and where they'd draw the line on Fear Factor. Plus, Chelsea experiences the greatest horror in her life when Donny informs her about the pirate ship ride. Oy, Sally!

Forever... By Judy Blume Aug 14, 2023

Show notes

The library is open (or whatever the girls say), and for their first book club meeting, Chelsea and Donny are covering the book Chelsea hasn't been able to shut up about - Judy Blume's "Forever." The two discuss the delicacies of The Melting Pot, the perks of horse girls, annoying teenagers, and... Ralph (not the Mouse on the Motorcycle.) Then, Chelsea shares (one of) her most embarrassing date stories. Also, Donny doesn't know how to read (not in a Lea Michele way).

New Directions (For Now!) Aug 07, 2023

Show notes

In solidarity of the WGA/SAG strike, Donny and Chelsea will not be covering movies or scripted television while the strike is on. So after a meltdown and/or nervous break, Donny and Chelsea realized - like Lea Michele - they needed to move in... wait for it... new directions. So, today they come equipped with ideas of what they can cover. Consider yourself a fly on the wall of their Busy Businesswoman Boardroom as they pitch their best ideas in this episode. (Don't worry - there's still many tangents and an influx of chaos; it's still the podcast you know and love!)

Catwoman (w/ Quin Lamar) Jul 31, 2023

Show notes

This podcast was recorded before the SAG strike began. We stand with SAG and the WGA while they negotiate for a fair contract.

In honor of Leo season and Halle Berry's birthday, comic Quin Lamar (@thequinlamar) joins Donny and Chelsea to cover 2004's Catwoman. As is tradition when Quin is the guest, alliances are fast and loose: he and Chelsea team up to make fun of Donny's last hairline hoorah before he and Donny educate Chelsea on good comedy. Also, the three share what scene made them realize this was a terrible movie (it... varies, to say the least). Beautiful.

Soap Dish (w/ Eric Williams) Jul 24, 2023

Show notes

When the host of Gay Ass Podcast Eric Williams joins Donny and Chelsea, they have NO choice but to cover the gayest movie they can think of: Soapdish. The three discuss Pierce Brosnan in Mrs. Doubtfire, being gay in 8th grade, James and the Giant Peach, and the 2023 equivalent to soap operas. Then, Donny shares where he’d be if he was a nepo nephew and Chelsea’s M Night experience leads her to guess the twist (well, ONE of them…)

Ever After (w/ Kim Nario) Jul 17, 2023

Show notes

And they lived... chaotically (as always), and this week, comic and pretty crier Kim Nario, join the Cute Ones to recap "Ever After," but instead discusses The Human Centipede, Brandy Cinderella and Titanic (the movie). Then, they buy a ticket to Donny Land when Donny shares stories of what he looked like in middle school. Melanie Lynskey is yet AGAIN made into a punchline, and the Cuties share stories of times they've lied to prospective romantic partners (including the most jarring submission this podcast has ever received; courtesy of Vanessa from Best Week Ever Podcast).

The Parent Trap (w/ Krystina Arielle) Jul 10, 2023

Show notes

Let’s get together - yeah, yeah, yeah! This week, Krystina Arielle (The High Republic Show, Dimension 20, Critical Role) joins Donny and Chelsea to discuss another set of twins from Hell: Lindsay Lohan and Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap (NOT “I Know Who Killed Me”). The trio also break down a little Diane Keaton, Bug Juice, and the worst parenting decision in all of cinematic history. Also, STAY OUT OF THE OCEAN! We support the Orcas.

Deep Impact (w/ Noor of "The Reality Is") Jul 03, 2023

Show notes

Noor from The Reality Is Podcast is here to close out the REAL E.L.E, Chelchella - and Donny brings the best gift Chelsea could ask for - a liking for this movie! The trio discuss Seinfeld, haunting your spouse as a guest, sun damage and... Christopher Columbus eating lunch on the Titanic on 9/11? And if you're not a supporter of victim blaming, this isn't the episode for you because... everyone in this movie had it coming.

Garden State (w/ Troy McEady) Jun 26, 2023

Show notes

Donny suffers as Chelchella 2023 continues, but Chelsea flourishes as she discovers she has a friend in Troy McEady, as they gush over "Garden State." They discuss manic pixie dream girls, The Drew Barrymore Show, naming pets, and Donny's (former) Asian grandmother. Also, Chelsea *accidentally* did more drugs as a youth.
