    The Lindsey Elmore Show

    What changes us?

I’m Lindsey Elmore: pharmacist, educator, author, and speaker. For more than a decade I’ve helped people understand their health and make more informed decisions, on stages in about 35 countries and in hundreds of long-form conversations. I’m endlessly curious about what changes a life — what we learn, what we believe, what we survive, and what we choose to do next.

On this show I talk with physicians, researchers, authors, clinicians, and people whose experience has something to teach the rest of us. We get into medicine and pharmacology, mental wellness, hormones, longevity, and what the evidence actually says. We also get into the parts of life that no study fully explains: faith and doubt, grief, forgiveness, sobriety, the books that rearranged us, and the ordinary decisions that add up to a life.

My training taught me to examine evidence, ask precise questions, and respect how much there is still to learn. My own life has given me plenty of chances to practice that last part. So I read the research so you don’t have to, I ask the questions I’d want answered myself, and I come ready to be taught.
Hundreds of episodes in, the thread hasn’t changed: bigger questions, better conversations, and a willingness to reconsider what we thought we knew.

This show is for education. It isn’t medical advice, and it isn’t a substitute for care from your own clinician.

    Show notes

Lindsay Pinchuk is the founder of Bump Club and Beyond. Pinchuk started her company when she realized that she had little connection and access to support from other Moms and Moms-to-be when she was pregnant. With a background in publishing and advertising, she worked hard to get her company to take off. While it started as a small community of Moms supporting one another in Chicago, Bump Club and Beyond now reaches half a million of moms and parents-to-be by offering trustworthy resources, events, and partnerships. After a decade of building her brand, she was acquired by Advantage Marketing Solutions in 2019. She talks about her new role in this acquisition, and how she plans to grow and scale her business. Then Lindsey shares the flip side of that coin, talking about birth control and Essential Oils, and reproductive health.

'Still I Rise' By Maya Angelou. A tribute to the Black Lives Matter movement. Jul 14, 2020
    Show notes

Today on the Lindsey Elmore Show, eight African American women will read the powerful words of Maya Angelou. It has never been more important than now to hear from our black and brown friends about their experiences. Though conversations about our own biases and beliefs may be difficult, we must have these important conversations in order to push forward the dialogue. When systems are built to oppress some, it steals the vision of the future for all. All lives cannot matter until Black Lives Matter. So despite hate, injustice, and discrimination, we are reminded by the powerful voices of these women that ‘up from a past that's rooted in pain,' they will rise. In this special edition of the Lindsey Elmore Show, here is, “Still I Rise.”
