I Am The Cute One

Latest Episodes:

Dick (w/ Ryan Bailey) Jul 03, 2022

Show notes

Chelsea and Donny are not letting Dick run their life, but they are letting Ryan Bailey (someone who likes to eat ass on camera) celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Watergate with them by recapping the 1999 Kirsten Dunst/Michelle Williams movie, "Dick." Ryan spends the episode trying to figure out who the target audience was for this movie while Chelsea spends the episode giving history lessons. Then, Ryan shares a story about his worst date and Donny educates them on the early 2000s gay porn, "The Hole." Also - were Pepe and a pimp involved in Watergate?

The Witches (w/ Dara Laine Sussman) Jun 26, 2022

Show notes

What better way to end Chelchella 2022 than by recapping “The Witches,” the movie that defined Chelsea’s personality and inspired her tramp stamp, with Dara Laine Sussman of Les Deux You Remember This? Roald Dahl’s books are for little freaks, and Donny, Chelsea, and Dara prove they fit right in with their stories of hamster haircuts, parakeet mating rituals, British mice, and Philadelphia’s Disney vault. The trio also perform an in-depth analysis on the heavy crotch work in this film, and Chelsea unlocks a vault of her own to reveal something none of us knew we were missing: Pepe.

Legally Blonde (w/ Imani Marcus) Jun 19, 2022

Show notes

After begging to come back on the the podcast, Imani Marcus (Mixing With Mani) joins Donny and Chelsea to celebrate with her favorite straight woman, Elle Woods. Although Chelsea cut all of Donny’s references to the “Legally Blonde” musical, he still has plenty to say, starting with a deep dive into the font used in the movie’s opening credits. Meanwhile, Chelsea explains getting Luke’d, and it’s clear that she and Donny don’t use the same internet when she tells a story about her friend’s (not blind) dog.

Passport to Paris (w/ Millennial Movie Club) Jun 12, 2022

Show notes

The Titanic may not be great with icebergs, but Jaz and Daniel of the Millennial Movie Club Podcast are great with recapping movies of our most formative years, so they join Chelsea and Donny for a very special double celebration: Chelsea's birthday and the anniversary of I Am The Cute One! And what better way to celebrate the podiversary than with the twins that started it all?
That's right! This week, Donny and Chelsea (and their guests) are covering "Passport to Paris" - the Olsen twins' first array into overseas cinema and their first kiss! They discuss the world's worst grandpa (and parents), some questionable accent work, and the acid trip of a visit to the Louvre (or was it Disney Quest?) Also, Chelsea reminisces about the lovely universal language of childhood and Donny suffers PTSD from getting caught passing a note.
Be sure to watch "Legally Blonde" before Donny & Chelsea cover it next week!

The Hot Chick (w/ Noor of "The Reality Is" Podcast) Jun 05, 2022

Show notes

To kick off Pride Month, Noor from "The Reality Is" Podcast (and Donny & Chelsea's "Princess Diaries" recap), joins the Cute One hosts to recap their most h0mophobic movie yet - "The Hot Chick" (which is also one of Chelsea's favorite movies; buckle up - her birthday month is already proving to be QUITE a ride, folks). Chelsea shares a story about being cursed and purchasing a $200 candle while Donny confesses to what he used to shoplift in high school. Also, the three drool over Matthew Lawrence and reminisce over their childhood TV crushes, and Chelsea remains a terror when she lets the others know why she wasn't allowed to go to her local pool.
Be sure to watch "Passport to Paris" before Donny & Chelsea cover it next week in honor of their one year podiversary and Chelsea (and Mary-Kate & Ashley's) birthday!

The Brady Bunch Movie (w/ Eric Feldman) May 29, 2022

Show notes

Kids, put on your Sunday best; we're going to Sears because this week, Donny and Chelsea are having a very Sunshine Day as they recap "The Brady Bunch Movie" with hilarious content creator, Eric Feldman! Naturally, that leads to a conversation about Donny getting a boner every single day in history class. And, in a shock to everyone - but a wonderful way to ring in Pride Month - Chelsea knows who RuPaul is (but is unsure about the entire Brady Bunch cast.) And Jan - you betta work.

Can't Hardly Wait (w/ Janine of @retr0avocado) May 22, 2022

Show notes

Anybody order a Love Burger?! Donny and Chelsea chat with the writer/director team of "Can't Hardly Wait," Harry Elfont & Deborah Kaplan about how the movie came to be and behind the scenes memories before Janine from @retr0avocado is back to recap the movie. Donny learns *quickly* that she and Chelsea are NOT fans of Preston. Donny reveals he was the Preston of his middle school, but by the end of the episode, he earns an honorary Women's Studies degree (but not an honorary vagina). They discuss post-graduation plans, being ditched (or ditching) friends before high school, and college breakups. Also, Dr. Bald (through Chelsea) ruins "Milo & Otis" forever and Janine randomly (but fatefully) has a Barry Mannilow story.

Scooby Doo (w/ @millennial_misery) May 15, 2022

Show notes

Jinkies! Donny is on the case of Chelsea not liking the live action Scooby Doo movie, and it appears this week's guest, Jamie of @milennial_misery, is her accomplice. As Donny tries to get them to see the error of their ways (he almost succeeds), Chelsea and Jamie disgust him by bonding over their love of South Park instead. Then, Chelsea pulls a Luna Ghost and terrifies Donny and Jamie by recounting one of her vacations to Mexico. Also, Chelsea used to eat dog food. Ruh Roh.

Show notes

Consider this a business woman special! Donny and Chelsea are joined by Emily Hanks, the host of 'She Speaks Bravo' to cover 'Romy & Michele's High School Reunion.' Donny admits the reason he’s in his yearbook 72 times, and Chelsea guesses Alan Cumming’s last name - incorrectly. Then, Emily is tasked with an uncompromising job: she must decide who is the Mary and the Rhoda out of the hosting duo.

Center Stage (w/ @millenialkyle) May 01, 2022

Show notes

@MilennialKyle may not be the best god d-mned dancer at the American Ballet Academy, but he IS one of the best nostalgic dancers on TikTok (check out his body rolls if you don't believe us!), and he's joining Chelsea and Donny this week to cover 'the dance movie with too much dancing' - Center Stage! After spending half of the movie trying to tell the cast members apart and waiting for a Julia Stiles entrance, Chelsea turns in her feminism card to verbally attack Jody Sawyer. Meanwhile, Donny shares stories of waking up naked at the kitchen table and educates them on why wearing white socks was mandatory in his elementary school. Also, the trio try to figure out what Cooper's ballet was about.
