Hitch (w/ @shinypretties) Apr 24, 2022

Show notes

Donny and Chelsea welcome Jade (@shinypretties) to their Kevin James stan podcast to cover the VERY 2005 movie, 'Hitch,' but first they discuss the middle school matchmaking service, Datamatch, and the wild VH1 show 'The Pickup Artist.' Chelsea teaches Jade and Donny a drinking game and shares a story about a previous unhealthy relationship that left her topless by a lake while Donny defends 'The King of Queens" and teaches the hit dance move, "The ATM." Also, Jade stresses the importance of having a gimmick and giggles over the idea of people having allergic reactions.

Coyote Ugly (w/ @iamthirtyaf) Apr 17, 2022

Show notes

While it would have made sense to talk about "Saved" for their Easter episode, Donny and Chelsea aren't necessarily known for making sense, so they're covering the next most religious movie they could think of - "Coyote Ugly," and they have Peter and Chloe of @iamthirtyaf to assist! They can't fight the moonlight, but they CAN discuss their first cell phones, Tyra's never-ending ability to be unhinged in all that she does, the pure chaos of Piper Perabo doing a striptease in front of 23 life size cardboard cutouts, and why exactly a LeAnn Rimes duet with herself is necessary. Also, the logistics of being a patron at Coyote Ugly HAVE to be discussed because this is psychological warfare.

Saved (w/ @literaltrash2004) Apr 10, 2022

Show notes

Save the heathens, Hilary Faye. Donny and Chelsea are back with more church stories as they recap a movie Donny hasn't pleasured himself to - "Saved," and they have Bridget from @literaltrash2004 to help them. Jesus is on Chelsea's side this week as she once was (face) blind, but now she sees Macaulay Culkin, Mandy Moore AND "the one from Hunger Games." The group also discusses made-for-TV movies, graphic tees, chin zits, and school violence episodes of the early 2000s. Also, Chelsea confesses she had Mandy Moore's ugly haircut and sorts Bridget and Donny into Harry Potter houses (incorrectly).

With Donny Appreciation Month behind them, the trio discuss the importance of bots, the undercover work of their past, Sandy B's makeover in a WWII airport, and Chelsea's stint in... obedience school.

Show notes

Hot off the release of his "Don't Call Me" music video that pays homage to another pop culture phenomenon of the 90s, Joseph Shepherd (host of the "Exposed: Dragged Out" podcast), joins Chelsea and Donny to celebrate one of the most memorable movies of our favorite decade - Cruel Intentions. Things get weird QUICKLY as Chelsea tells stories about her friends getting trapped in cars and Donny shares how often he peed himself in middle school (spoiler alert: it was often). High School Musical (w/ Jessica Conrad) Mar 20, 2022

Show notes

It's (finally) Donny's birthday, and to celebrate, he forces Chelsea to watch "High School Musical!" Luckily, he has Jessica Conrad on his side, who comes prepared in her finest HSM merch. They discuss their most cringe-worthy drama club moments (and Chelsea's fear of theater kids) and the highs and lows of being Team Sharpay in a Gabriella world. Also, Donny shares his secret "Euphoria" writing credit.

Drive Me Crazy (w/ Erin Miller, @overthemoonfaraway) Mar 13, 2022

Show notes

Donny and Chelsea trick Erin Miller into watching "Drive Me Crazy" for her first podcast appearance, but they quickly learn they should have just watched the music video instead. They discuss their dream TGIF lineup, Melissa Joan Hart's anger about the movie's soundtrack, school pranks, the mismatched casting of this film, and debate whether they were popular in high school. The trio also relive the horrors of M. Night Shyamalan's "The Sixth Sense," but that's no match for the chilling answering machine messages Donny used to create or the horrifying coffee commercial starring TV's Sabrina.

Teaching Mrs. Tingle (w/ Tom Hamlett) Mar 06, 2022

Show notes

It's officially Donny Appreciation Month, and Tom Hamlett of Dumpster Dive Podcast joins Chelsea to celebrate Donny the best way they know how: terrorizing him and bullying him for loving mediocre movies of the early aughts. Helen Mirren may have recently won a SAG Award for Lifetime Achievement, but that doesn't make her safe from Tom's criticism. Don't worry - Donny is ready to defend this movie and the performances in it to the grave (RIP Trudy Tucker.)

Sister Act (w/ Priscilla of @bonjourbitchesblog) Feb 27, 2022

Show notes

Nothing you can do can keep Priscilla (@bonjourbitchesblog) away from... appearing on 'I Am The Cute One,' and this week, she's here to recap 'Sister Act' (and try to steal Chelsea's spot as co-host.) The three discuss the horrifying toys of the 90s - bugs are for boys! - before diving into important takeaways from the movie, including their most vivid jukebox memories, being banned from youth group for teaching "inappropriate" church music, and Dolores' chic fashions that are still very much in today. Then, Donny shares an earth-shattering secret from the set - but don't tell his dad!

She's All That (w/ Kate Steinberg) Feb 20, 2022

Show notes

Kate Steinberg survived HBO Max's '12 Dates of Christmas,' but can she make it through recapping a teen movie from the early aughts with Donny and Chelsea? Of course she can! Why? Because she's all that! Donny shares some heartbreaking stories about his time in the theater, Chelsea shocks her guest and co-host with troubling tales of music festivals (and trampolines), and the three bond over their love of early 2000's reality TV (none of which aged well, btw.)
