    533. Exploring the Feminine Experience and its Relationship to Capitalism, Feminism, and Burnout Jul 21, 2022
    Show notes

We are completely burning ourselves out – full stop.

In this stream-of-consciousness solo episode, Krista delves into her perceptions of our current reality, specifically, that related to the deepening bond between capitalism and modern feminism.

What does it mean to be a feminist in 2022? Or, more importantly, what are we being told that it means? How has a grinding life of hustling and climbing the corporate ladder become so much more heavily favored over a loving, soft, nurturing life at home raising a family? There’s got to be room for all shades of the feminine palette.

Krista opens the door to a wider experience, for a more inclusive ideology that, instead of shaming or shutting people out, makes space for respect, freedom, and happiness for all of the many manifestations of our time here on earth.

    We also talk about:

    • The connections between modern feminism + capitalism
    • Harmful social norms + where they came from
    • Reclaiming words that were taken from us
    • Giving up the negative baggage
    • Living in true freedom + choice
    • Embracing all parts of us as divine

    527. The Business of Birth Control with Ricki Lake & Abby Epstein Jun 23, 2022
    Show notes

Ricki Lake and her longtime business partner and filmmaker, Abby Epstein, join the show today to talk about their groundbreaking new documentary film, The Business of Birth Control – a truth finding journey where they tell the impactful stories of women who’ve had a whole range of experiences on, and coming off of, hormonal contraceptives.

It’s critically important work, and so important for all women, especially young girls, to know and understand.

From June 22nd to 26th, The Business of Birth Control will be available to watch for FREE in the USA and Canada! You can grab your ticket here. And for those who miss the free streaming event, you can use the code "Almost30" for 50% off by clicking here.

We encourage you to share this one with a friend or family member to, as Ricki mentions, pay it forward and empower the next generation with information they can act upon for their best interests. Enjoy.

    524. The Gift of Being in a Body + How To Tune In Jun 14, 2022
    Show notes

It is what it is, right? But, that’s not a mindset that comes easily – or quickly.

For many of us, our teens and twenties are filled with changing – wanting to change, feeling pressures to change. After thirty, and after doing the work, a shift starts to happen. We look in the mirror and wink at ourselves instead of wishing for something to be different.

Lindsey sits down for this deeply personal solo episode to walk listeners through her own body attunement journey, from watching herself in home movies as a wiggling four year-old, to learned familial beliefs on body, her (sometimes toxic) relationship with fitness, and unpacking early sexual encounters.

Everything is on the table, because everything in life is connected to our physical self.

Tune in and take note to start feeling better in your body, more harmonized in the feminine, restorative, juicy goodness that is this physical vehicle, on this planet. It’s a beautiful thing, and when we can truly celebrate it, it shines through in the rest of our lives.

    We also talk about:

    • Everything is everything
    • What is body attunement to me?
    • Reprogramming negative familial beliefs
    • Being aware of how social media makes us feel
    • Unpacking impactful sexual experiences
    • How we process outside information
    • Identifying areas where we can be more attuned with our body
    • Considering our cycles as the seasons
    • Infusing your food with intention
