Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 111th lesson on Pokémon biology. For today's class, we will be discussing Rhyhorn: the Spikes Pokémon. There's no polite way to say this... but Rhyhorn is straight up stupid. Like really dumb. Small brain. It's known to have a one-track mind. For example, Rhyhorn will begin running but forgets why it started in the first place. However, it will sometimes recall the reason why if it crashes into something. And it's demolition skills are no joke. Rhyhorn is capable of destroying skyscrapers and mountains! It's a forgetful force of nature. There's more to learn about Rhyhorn, so make sure you take good notes, students!

    110: Weezing Oct 12, 2022
    Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 110th lesson on Pokémon biology. Today’s lesson is about Weezing: the Poison Gas Pokémon and evolved form of Koffing. Imagine if someone took two Koffing and glued them together… that’s basically Weezing. Each head contains a different toxin, and these gases will mix when one head inflates as the other deflates. And boy does it stink! However, these gases can actually be used to make some high quality perfume. There’s a parable here I’m sure - about something gross being used for a greater purpose - but I’m too lazy to think of one. There’s more to learn about Weezing, including its environmentally-friendly Galarian variant, so take detailed notes!

    109: Koffing Oct 05, 2022

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 109th lesson on Pokémon biology. And for today's class, we will be discussing Koffing: the Poison Gas Pokémon. True to its poison typing, Koffing is constantly creating gases inside its body by mixing toxins and garbage. When it expels these gases, you might want to wear a mask. Because not only do they smell, but Koffing's gases cause sniffing, teary eyes, and... coughing. But these gases help Koffing float around like a little, poisonous balloon! But be warned: this is not a balloon for the kids. There's more to learn about Koffing, so make sure you take good notes, students!

    108: Lickitung Sep 28, 2022

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 108th lesson on Pokémon biology. Today’s lesson is about Lickitung: the Licking Pokémon. This may come as a shock to you, but Lickitung loves to lick. Its 6 and ½ foot tongue is covered in sticky saliva, which causes tingling and rashes. As gross as this smelly saliva sounds, it can be used as an adhesive if cooked first! It’s always helpful to keep some of that around the house. Need a painting hung on the wall? Grab some Lickitung saliva! There’s even more to learn about Lickitung, so be sure to take detailed notes!

    107: Hitmonchan Sep 21, 2022

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 107th lesson on Pokémon biology. And in today's lesson, we will be talking about Hitmonchan: the Punching Pokémon. And punch it does! It's been reported that Hitmonchan can punch as fast as a bullet train! So if Hitmonchan decides to punch you, you'll never see it coming... literally. Its punches are faster than the human eye can process. However, with intense speed comes a quick burnout because Hitmonchan typically needs a break after 3 minutes of fighting. So here's a tip for trainers: just have your Pokémon dance around a Hitmonchan in battle for 3 minutes, then just beat 'em down! There's more to learn about Hitmonchan, so make sure you take good notes!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 106th lesson on Pokémon biology. Our summer break is over! We are thrilled to be back with a new lesson on Hitmonlee: the Kicking Pokémon. This fighting type loves to kick... surprising, right? With its flexible body and elastic legs, Hitmonlee is the perfect kicking machine. It has incredible balance and is able to kick in succession from any position! If there's a kick, Hitmonlee can do it. If you invent a new style of kicking, then Hitmonlee already knows it. They're just THAT good. And there's more to learn about Hitmonlee, so please take plenty of notes!

    105: Marowak Aug 03, 2022

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 105th lesson on Pokémon biology. For this class, we will be discussing Marowak: the Bone Keeper Pokémon and the evolved form of Cubone. Gone is the grief it once had as a Cubone! Marowak is a violent and vengeful Pokémon, using the bone it wields as a boomerang to strike down its foes… like Mandibuzz. There’s also a Fire/Ghost type variant from Alola, which carries a bone covered in cursed flames. How hardcore is that!? Honestly, the evolution from cry-baby Cubone to bloodthirsty Marowak is quite sensational. And there’s even more to learn about Marowak, so be sure to take plenty of notes!

    104: Cubone Jul 27, 2022
    Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 104th lesson on Pokémon biology. In today’s lesson, we will be discussing Cubone: the Lonely Pokémon. And lonely it is. Every Cubone suffers severe trauma after losing their mother. It then wears the skull of its dead mother as a helmet. Now that’s metal. Because of this trauma, Cubone is known to cry frequently, which causes its helmet to rattle and create mournful noises. These cries will sometimes attract Mandibuzz, its natural predator. So if you ever see a Mandibuzz flying around, go ahead and neutralize them on behalf of all Cubone around the world. There’s more to learn about our favorite sad Pokémon, so take plenty of notes!

    103: Exeggutor Jul 20, 2022
    Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 103rd lesson on Pokémon biology. For class today, we will be discussing Exeggutor, the Coconut Pokémon and evolved form of Exeggcute. This grass/psychic type typically has three heads, which resemble coconuts (hence the name). They think independently from each other and are able to communicate telepathically. However, when one of these heads grows too big, it will fall off and group up with other lone heads to become an Exeggcute. Not just any heads, by the way… they have to be other Exeggcutes. There’s more to learn about Exeggutor, including its Alolan variant, so please take detailed notes!

    102: Exeggcute Jul 13, 2022
    Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 102nd lesson on Pokémon biology. In today's class, we learn all about Exeggcute: the Egg Pokémon. This grass/psychic type is six tiny Pokémon grouped together... kinda. Exeggcute literally looks like six eggs, although they're more closely related to plant seeds. If you see an Exeggcute with cracks in it, that's a good sign because it means it's about to evolve. Being part psychic type, they're also known to speak telepathically. So when one of the Exeggcute gets separated from the group, the others will quickly gather to find the lost one... or replace it. Whatever works! There's more to learn about Exeggcute, so please take great notes!
