EP #1030: Self-Hypnosis to Reduce Stress, Help to Manage Pain, Sleep Better, Boost the Immune System for Ultimate Self-Care Nov 16, 2021
    Show notes

Lisa is joined by Barbara Ford Hammond who talks about using self-hypnosis to reduce stress, help to manage pain, sleep better, boost the immune system and calm the nervous system. Barbara creates hypnotic downloads for personal hypnotherapy that listeners work through in their own time.
Barbara has been a hypnotherapist, trainer and pain management specialist for nearly 30 years. Her work can be in the left-brain logical camp or the right-brain creative field and she is as happy discussing neuroplasticity as she is talking about soul healing. For many years Barbara has suffered with back problems up to and including an iatrogenic injury during surgery that led to permanent nerve damage. The on-going issues from that led her to having a spinal cord stimulator implanted. In times of incapacity she developed a pain management protocol based around the techniques she used and continues to use herself. Barbara creates hypnotic downloads for personal hypnotherapy that listeners work through in their own time. From Barbara's website: www.barbaraford-hammond.com
Hypnosis is the altered state of consciousness that occurs within us if we are bored, fixated or mesmerised, relaxed or doing something either repetitive or learnt. It is a familiar experience because we are all slipping in and out of differing mind states several times each day.
Hypnotherapy makes use of these natural abilities by inducing the hypnotic state to enable healing and/or change to be made on a subconscious level.
Have you ever experienced a song playing over and over in your mind as if it is on a loop?
Have you ever driven somewhere and not remembered your journey on arrival at your destination?

These are examples of trance states. Normal and natural - that we all experience.
The subconscious mind 'runs' us. It is in charge of everything automatic, it looks after our memories so we don't have to keep relearning, it holds on to habits (good and bad), it adjusts our emotions and generally does everything it can to protect and keep us alive.
Tasks: we learn … they become automatic.
Habits (all of which are in the subconscious-good and bad): learn … automatic.
Because our fears, habits, phobias etc. are in our subconscious that is where we need to deal with whatever is causing us problems or difficulties.
By using hypnosis as the tool or key for access to the subconscious we can change bad habits to good, identify and remove fears and phobias, reduce stress and boost the immune system to make us healthier, fitter and stronger in mind and body.
A good example of change is when someone stops smoking. Within an hour the subconscious mind can accept a complete new programme that every cell in the body understands. All dependency is removed and the person is happy and free from cigarettes.
No mumbo-jumbo or spooky powers - just a gentle yet powerful way to solve your problems.
    Self Hypnosis
There can't be many people that haven't heard about or know how powerful hypnosis can be. Maybe if you have been living under a rock you don't know (apologies here to all rock dwellers). How much more do you think you might achieve if you could hypnotise yourself to success and abundance? And, at the same time come out of the everyday trances that our lifestyles and society imposes on us.
Hypnosis is a skill that once learnt is yours forever so whatever life sends your way you will always be in control and one step ahead.
Using hypnosis reduces stress, boosts your immune system, enables you to build your confidence and self-esteem, release phobias and develop the positive mind state for success ... if you want to.
When you apply my hypnotic techniques you become your true self and you can make permanent changes on a subconscious level.

Lisa is joined by Yvette Rose to talk gut balance, women's health, & more! Yvette Rose is an Afro-Rican board-certified health coach, yoga and meditation practitioner, personal trainer, and founder of Joule Goddess. The mission-driven brand is your good vibe health partner that provides on-the-go nutritious products to help women live a more balanced life. The savory flavor is filled with a range of all-natural, anti-inflammatory ingredients, antioxidants, and vitamins.
About Yvette Rose: Yvette, 49, is like many women her age. A wife, mother of two boys, a health coach, and a minority small business owner, she is juggling a lot while being in menopause. So why isn’t her own life out of balance? She listens to her gut.Yvette is on a mission to address what ails women’s gut health, from postpartum to menopause. She knows when the gut is unhealthy, the mind has difficulty functionally optimally. It’s fair to say, for many women in postpartum, they could benefit from a health reset. An unhealthy microbiome is the culprit of many of their ailments (i.e. anxiety, depression, lethargy, bloating, skin conditions).
Aside from her business (Joule Goddess), Yvette helps women feel better by educating them on the effect of on-the-go foods that contribute to the disruptive gut microbiota, thus causing bloat, hormone imbalances, and a foggy brain. In addition, she regularly advocates on behalf of women’s health issues and is a board-certified health coach who is super passionate about food as medicine. She wants to teach people how to attain a healthier gut, balanced hormones, and heart health. It’s worked for her and she knows it will work for women just like her as well.Yvette coaches women on how to manage their health and wellness by balancing their nutrition and lifestyle choices. She has created meal supplement bars, Joule Bars, that put women’s needs first. She developed the bars for women like herself who are busy but want to feel good in their bodies and mind. They are intentionally designed to support a healthier gut.

    EP #1028:Long-Hauler Covid Syndrome Self-Care: The S.H.I.N.E.® Protocol Nov 02, 2021
    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

Lisa is joined by Jacob Teitelbaum, MD (aka Dr. T) to talk about how he uses his S.H.I.N.E.® Protocol is to treat Long-Hauler Covid. One of the people he is treating using his protocol is Tammy Krotz who joins us in this episode to share her story of Covid and Long Hauler Covid Syndrome and how great the S.H.I.N.E.® Protocol is working.
Tammy Krotz, 57, from Hiawatha, Iowa, came down with COVID in June 2020 after attending an outdoor concert with a friend. She was not hospitalized and had a relatively mild case, feeling “almost back to normal” around August 1st. Then the bottom dropped out.
Usually a high-energy, no-off-switch special ed teacher, suddenly she was paralyzed by aches, pains and disabling fatigue that wouldn’t go away. “It felt like I got hit by a semi,” says Tammy. “I could hardly walk across the room and riding my bike—something I did every day, often for 30 miles after work—was out of the question!” With each new day her energy receded and at the low point she thought she may never recover, be permanently disabled, or even die.
Welcome to the horrible new reality of long-hauler syndrome following COVID-19. Doctors at the University of Iowa told her that she no longer had COVID but was now suffering from postviral Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. While they had no therapy to offer, they suggested that she see a therapist to modify her expectations about what might be possible in her new restricted life. Fortunately, Tammy saw an online interview during a Fatigue Super Conference with energy specialist, board certified internist Jacob Teitelbaum, MD, author of From Fatigued to Fantastic!(Avery/Penguin, 4th revised edition June 15). She began his SHINE treatment protocol in April 2021 and was finally able to sleep again. Eventually, with a regimen of dietary supplements, hormones, and a unique European di-peptide and tri-peptide formula, the overwhelming brain fog started to lift. “Now I feel like a 6 or 7 out of 10—where a few months ago I was a 1 or 2.”
Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D., is one of the most frequently quoted integrative medical authorities in the world. In addition to From Fatigued to Fantastic!, he is the author of ten books, including Pain Free 1,2,3; The Complete Guide to Beating Sugar Addiction; Real Cause, Real Cure; The Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Solution; and Diabetes Is Optional, and the creator of the popular free smartphone app Cures A-Z. He is the lead author of multiple studies on effective treatment for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Dr. Teitelbaum appears often as a guest on news and talk shows nationwide, including Good Morning America and The Dr. Oz Show, as well as on CNN and FoxNewsHealth.
