Follow the show on socials @ConwayShow.

Tim Conway Jr. brings his signature humor to breaking news, Los Angeles current events, Orange County stories, Riverside County headlines, the Inland Empire, live police chases, freeway traffic, Hollywood craziness, pop culture, the big sports stories of the day, politics, gambling, and everything happening across Southern California. Heard by listeners across the country and around the world on the iHeartRadio App, Conway’s humor, storytelling, and take on the current news of the day connect with audiences far beyond Southern California. His perspective is local, but his comedy, curiosity, and down-to-earth view of life translate across cultures, communities, and languages.

Tim Conway Jr. was born and raised in Los Angeles and is the son of iconic comedy legend Tim Conway of The Carol Burnett Show. He spent his childhood around Santa Anita, Hollywood Park, and Del Mar Racetracks with his father, four younger brothers, and older sister — experiences that helped shape his humor, storytelling, and down-to-earth perspective on life.

During his early career, Conway produced his own internet radio show and, thanks to its popularity, was offered the opportunity to host a talk show on 97.1 KLSX-FM. Over twelve successful years, his show became famous across Southern California for entertaining topics, live police chases, Hollywood craziness, pop culture, sports, and current events with a twist of humor. In 2009, when KLSX switched to an all-music format, Conway joined KFI AM 640, continuing to bring listeners his unique comedic perspective on breaking news, politics, gambling, history, sports, entertainment, and life in SoCal.

Throughout his career, Conway has been featured on Fox 11, CBS, NBC, and ABC, and has received numerous industry honors including a Golden Mic Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a Marconi Award nomination for Personality of the Year. When he’s not entertaining listeners, Conway enjoys spending time with his family, supporting local charities, and hanging out at the racetracks.

Deadly Chino Hills Ambush, Dodgers Go All-In, and SoCal Is MELTING Aug 01, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 1 (7.31) A quiet Chino Hills street. A cut in power. One-man steps outside to check the electrical panel — and never comes back in. This morning we break down the disturbing new details deputies released Friday in the kidnapping and shooting that left 60-year-old Shukur Aikebaer dead and one suspect dead alongside him. Investigators have now identified both suspects, 67-year-old Zhengfeng Bo and 66-year-old Jianquan Bo, and the timeline of what allegedly happened on Monteverde Drive around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday is chilling.

Then we shift gears — way up north. Tanya Bryant from TravelStore.com joins us at 6:20 to talk about the greatest Alaska cruise ever and what's next: The Allura, sailing to Puerto Rico and the Virgin & British Islands, February 19–27. Sign up by August 17 for the special. All the details at ConwayCruise.com.

At 6:35, baseball drama. Two teams, 33 miles apart, living in completely different universes. Three World Series rings versus one playoff appearance in 13 years. With the August 3 deadline closing in and Shohei Ohtani's inflamed knee keeping him off the mound since July 3, the Dodgers are hunting big — and the name everyone keeps whispering is two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal. Meanwhile, the Angels are heading in the other direction. Again.

And finally at 6:50 — welcome to the jungle, because the heat is ON. Outdoor wedding this weekend? Good luck. We're asking how the OC is surviving this thing.

Why L.A.'s Best Restaurants Are Dying — And What's Replacing Them Aug 01, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 2 (7.31) Neil Saavedra, The Fork Reporter, is in the house and we're getting the number. How much weight has Neil actually dropped? The answer is 42 pounds following gastric sleeve surgery, and he's got plenty to say about the whole ride. Then we veer completely sideways into 3D printing tales — because Neil is fully, unapologetically addicted to big prints.

Then it's a galaxy far, far away and a whole lot of money. George Lucas sold Star Wars — and what it's worth today is staggering. We dig into behind-the-scenes stories from the legendary cantina scene, plus a question that trips up a lot of creators: if you use Star Wars files, do you have to pay for them? Also, one for the locals — Cinema Secrets in Toluca Lake has closed its doors for good.

From there we get into the food world, and it's messy. Chefs are a rebellious breed, and right now that rebellion is showing. Five-star restaurants are closing. Kitchens can't keep the lights on. L.A. is going through a real change, and experiential restaurants are challenging everything we thought a night out was supposed to be.

And before you go — check out Neil's 3D printing projects over at @Saavcoindustries on Instagram. The man is not messing around.

🎧 Listen carefully with headsets and microphone for the full experience.

Doom-Jobbing Is Real, Cigarettes Are Back, and High Surf & Rip Currents Aug 01, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 3 (7.31) We're hiding the vape today — and asking the question nobody wants to answer: do you actually know what's in it? Nobody does. Then we get into the rise of the cig-influencer, and whether cigarettes are somehow making a comeback in 2026. We revisit Yul Brynner's haunting anti-smoking PSA for the American Cancer Society, recorded from interview footage, where he delivered the line people still can't shake: "Now that I'm gone, I tell you: don't smoke." Plus the Debbie Austin commercials and your smoking stories.

Then, a new term for a very real feeling: doom-jobbing. Part doomscrolling, part job search — compulsively refreshing job boards and panic-applying to random roles because the market has everybody rattled. We also get into Foosh's interview with iHeart, and why Tim Conway comedy is truly a generational thing.

Heading to the water this weekend? Pay attention. We break down coastline conditions with high tide and a rip current warning in play.

And finally — California minimum wage is going up next year. Which begs the obvious question we're throwing to you: when YOU started working, how much were you making? The answers are going to hurt. Apple is offering to lease an Apple device.

🎧 Listen carefully with headsets and microphone for the full experience.

Heat, Heartbreak & Han Solo: The Hour That Had Everything Aug 01, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 4 (7.31) We open with the new details released in the Chino Hills kidnapping and murder — investigators have now named both suspects and the victim in a violent abduction that ended with two people dead. It's a story that started with something as ordinary as a power interruption on a quiet residential street, and it only gets more unsettling from there.

Then, welcome to the jungle — because the heat is absolutely ON. Anyone brave enough to attempt an outdoor wedding this weekend? We're checking in on how the OC is holding up in this thing. Plus, the question everybody's been texting us about: has Angel's new man officially moved into Newport?

Neil Saavedra, The Fork Reporter, joins us and we're getting the number. How much weight has Neil actually dropped? The answer is 42 pounds following gastric sleeve surgery, and he's got thoughts on the whole ride. Then we go completely sideways into 3D printing tales — because Neil is fully, unapologetically addicted to big prints.

And finally, a galaxy far, far away and a whole lot of money. George Lucas sold Star Wars — and what it's worth today is staggering. We dig into behind-the-scenes stories from the legendary cantina scene, plus a question that trips up a lot of creators: if you use Star Wars files, do you have to pay for them? "Freeway Chase, Shark Sightings & a $$$ Bill That Broke Foosh" Jul 31, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 1 (7.30) Buckle up — this one's an absolute rollercoaster. 🎢 We kick things off tagging along with Mertz on the hunt for a Golden Mic, plus a live update on the eastbound 105 backups after a pursuit ended in a crash in South LA — a suspected human trafficker is now in custody. Oh, and it's Crozier's birthday, so you already know the vibes are immaculate.

Then it's time for The Conway Program 🦈 — shark sightings are popping off up and down the coast, and we break down when you should actually be worried versus when you're just being dramatic.

We also get into something way less fun but way more important: the number of uninsured patients in the U.S. is climbing fast, and the ripple effects hit everybody's wallet.

And finally — the moment you've been waiting for. Foosh finally got the invoice from his August 7th accident. It's giving sit down before you read it. Caller Whip Around: what do YOU think it cost? Guesses were WILD. 💸

Real talk, chaos, and a number that'll make your stomach drop. Hit play.

He's NOT a Lizard: The Number That Shocked Everyone" Jul 31, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 2 (7.30) The reveal is HERE. Callers finally take their best shot at guessing what Foosh's hospital bill came out to after the accident — and the answer had the whole room silent. Plus, 8-year-old Alvery calls in and absolutely steals the show with one very important clarification: Foosh is NOT a lizard. You had to hear it. 🦎❌

Then Dean Sharp, the House Whisperer, joins us to break down a gorgeous art deco-style home — the details, the design language, and why that era still hits different in 2026. He also opens up about the biggest house he's ever designed, and gets real about what it's actually like managing clients when a project first kicks off. Spoiler: the dream and the budget don't always shake hands. 🏛️

And finally — heat-related flight delays. Yes, that's a real thing, and it's happening more than you'd think. We get into why planes literally can't take off when it gets too hot, and then pivot to a question nobody saw coming: how much do you think casinos pay to run air conditioning every month? Take a guess. Now go higher. Now go WAY higher. 🥵💸

Big reveals, big houses, big numbers. Press play. 🎧

"LA's Forgotten Tunnels, Beef Prices Out of Control & the Airport Upgrade We've Been Waiting For" Jul 31, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 3 (7.30) Boyle Heights residents are calling this the worst summer they can remember — fire, rats, toxics, and now the tunnels. 😳

Built in the 1920s and '30s, roughly 220 pedestrian tunnels were dug across Los Angeles to give schoolchildren a safe way to cross streets as car traffic exploded and accidents piled up. A century later, most of them sit forgotten — and residents say the neglect has turned them into magnets for squatters, trash, and illicit activity. We get into what these putrid passageways look like today, and how a good idea from 1930 became a problem in 2026. Plus: what exactly ARE bears looking for in your trash? 🐻🗑️

Then — beef prices are surging and fast food is taking the hit. Are you struggling to swallow what a drive-thru run costs now? 🍔 We compare notes on Chick-fil-A at night (somehow the energy of back-to-school night) and make the case for Carney's chili cheeseburgers as the last honest deal in town.

LA28 has officially cleared 4 million tickets sold, setting a new benchmark ahead of the Games. 🏅 We also cover a serious story out of Chino Hills: San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies shot and killed a kidnapping suspect late Wednesday night on Wandering Ridge Drive after a pursuit. Authorities say the suspect fatally shot an abducted victim who was in the trunk of the car before deputies opened fire.

And we close on the good stuff — Burbank Airport's new terminal opens this fall, and once LAX finally gets the people mover running, this city's air travel is going to be beautiful AND functional. ✈️ We're calling it now: you're going to love it.

Tunnels, burgers, and a city that's changing fast. Hit play. 🎧

Shocking Hospital Bill, Casino A/C Bills & Why Planes Can't Fly in Heat  Jul 31, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 4 (7.30) All the heat, none of the filler. We start with The Conway Program 🦈 — shark sightings are stacking up along the coast, and we get into when it's actually time to worry versus when you're just letting your imagination run the show. Consider this your pre-beach-day briefing.

Then it's Caller Whip Around time. Foosh finally got the invoice from his August 7th accident, and we open the phones: what do YOU think it cost? The guesses ranged from optimistic to unhinged. 💸

And then… the reveal. Callers take their final shots, and 8-year-old Alvery calls in to deliver the most important correction of the entire broadcast: Foosh is NOT a lizard. 🦎❌ Iconic. Unforgettable. The kid ate.

We close it out with something you probably didn't know was a thing — heat-related flight delays. Planes genuinely struggle to get off the ground when the temperature spikes, and we break down why. That takes us straight into the question that broke everyone's brain: how much do casinos pay to run air conditioning every single month? Whatever number you're thinking… it's higher. 🥵

Sharks, sticker shock, and a very confident third grader. Hit play. 🎧

What Did Timmy Miss Most on His Alaska Cruise? Del Taco and Home Depot! Jul 30, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 1 (7.29) Everyone’s back from vacation, especially Tim Conway Jr., who just returned from his TravelStore Alaska cruise with 144 lucky fans who were apparently the coolest, best-behaved group he’s ever sailed with. Timmy was thrilled to land last night and hit his two favorite spots: Del Taco and Home Depot.

Tim and four buddies missed out on an $800 million lottery win while he was at sea — the lucky ticket was sold at a Wawa in Bradenton, Florida.

Summer travel is packing every plane seat full, though tech glitches and severe storms grounded flights across the country, including the entire American Airlines fleet.

Crozier schools everyone on the difference between the Special Olympics and Paralympics. Timmy takes it as a compliment that his show keeps drivers awake, while Studio City sees a rise in break-ins by masked men, possibly linked to recent burglaries south of the 101. LAPD needs about 1,000 more officers, but the city isn’t exactly rushing to help.

Chew on these Grape Nuts, Granddad! Jul 30, 2026
    Show notes

Hour 2 (7.29) Alaska is hands-down the most beautiful state in the union — Timmy says there’s not an ugly inch of it. Internet star Jimothy, the short-spined raccoon from Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, is still taking over the news cycle, but Timmy’s official advice to nature lovers is simple: stop looking at wildlife. That includes Jackie and Shadow the bald eagles and the legendary bipedal bear Pedals from New Jersey, because it all ends crazy.

Another heat advisory is out, with the San Fernando Valley headed for 108 this weekend and Palm Springs climbing toward a brutal 120. Timmy’s solution? Head to Del Mar, where the surf meets the turf.

Former Cowboys QB and NFL broadcaster Tony Romo got popped for DUI in Milwaukee — open container, refused the breathalyzer, and was laughing and smiling the whole time. Remember when there used to be a bar called One For the Road?

And in the heart of West Hollywood, a pack of loud coyotes has taken over an unfinished luxury condo building after construction ran out of money. They’re making a racket on some of the most expensive real estate in town, and now WeHo has to figure out a non-lethal way to deal with them that doesn’t involve just dumping the problem in Burbank.
