Our 2010 retrospective continues with Ben Affleck's Boston crime drama "The Town". Starring a stellar cast including Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, Blake Lively, Titus Welliver, Pete Postlethwaite & Chris Cooper, the film was the second directorial effort in Affleck's career. It was critically acclaimed upon release, earned Renner a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination, and was a box office hit grossing over $150 million worldwide. How does it hold up today? Join Dan Bayer, Brendan Hodges, Danilo Castro, and me as we discuss our thoughts on the writing, performances, heist scenes, the surprising lack of Oscar nominations, and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Interviews With "Deadpool & Wolverine" Producer Kevin Feige & Executive Producer Wendy Jacobson Jul 23, 2024

Show notes

"Deadpool & Wolverine" is one of 2024's most anticipated films. Arriving at a time when the MCU so desperately needs a shot in its arm, the third "Deadpool" film brings Hugh Jackman's Wolverine back from the dead after his Oscar-nominated send-off in 2017's "Logan" to combat a new threat, but not before they tear and claw into each other first. Executive Producer Wendy Jacobson and Marvel Studios President and Producer Kevin Feige were kind enough to lend me a few minutes to speak with me about the film following a preview I saw of the film's first act. Please be sure to check out the film, which is opening this weekend in theaters on July 26th from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Thank you, and enjoy!
