"Alien: Romulus" Aug 17, 2024

Show notes

For this week's main podcast review, Ema Sasic, Josh Parham, Nadia Dalimonte, Dan Bayer, Will Mavity, and I are reviewing the latest film in the long-running "Alien" franchise, "Alien: Romulus" starring Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. Known for his proclivity towards suspenseful filmmaking and brutal gore, director Fede Álvarez accentuates the franchise's genre elements while providing a ton of winks and nods to previous entries, but how did we all feel about these choices? Tune in as we discuss the callbacks, action, horror, performances, writing, the hotly debated resurrection of a character, and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!
