    Show notes

Hello Soothers! In this, and a few upcoming episodes, I tackle dozens of listener and reader questions that you all so thoughtfully and generously sent in. I'm breaking these into a few episodes as you asked so many good ones, so stay tuned for lots more! I answer questions on everything from how I met my boyfriend, to how to combat disordered eating, to the ways in which we allow ourselves to get stuck in perfectionism, to my decision to not have children, and lots more.
In this episode, I tackle several questions, including...

    • How I met my boyfriend!
    • How I decided to become a mother or not
    • How to begin to overcome perfectionism and fear
    • How can I begin to know what I actually want instead of what I think I should want?

    75: Intentional + intuitive goal-setting (webinar replay) Dec 17, 2020
    Show notes

Looking for some guidance about how to set intuitive and authentic goals in 2021? Today, I'm sharing the audio from a training I did recently where I guided folks through reflections, journaling, and a model for goal-setting to aim for nourishing, intentional goals in the coming year.
You can access the workbook I use in this training at this link. [PDF]
I kick off with introductions and an overview of my end-of-year reflection formula and goal-setting approach. Then there's a spot in the training where folks journaled silently for about 45 minutes, which I've edited out, but I encourage you to hit pause on the podcast when it comes up to do your own journaling. Finally towards the end doing some sharing and I do a bunch of Q&A from attendees about intuition, goal-setting, overcoming perfectionism, and more!

74: Tips to overcome negative thinking by intentionally creating your thoughts Dec 13, 2020
    Show notes

In last week's episode, #73: How to use "thought work" to overcome negative thinking, I explained the self-coaching thought model that you can begin to use to start creating more intentional, supportive and positive thoughts. The model is great, but when you're first using it, it can really be hard to figure out new thoughts you'd like to think. In this episode, I offer my thoughts and tips on how you can overcome negative, unintentional thoughts with new ways of creating your own thoughts.

73: How to use "thought work" to overcome negative thinking Dec 06, 2020
    Show notes

In today's episode, I'm discussing and teaching an approach that's changed my ability to have a more resilient mind. A mind that is less reactive. A mind that is able to observe itself, note when it's totally going off course, and redirect to a more fulfilling and productive outcome.

This approach is called The Self-Coaching Model (the Model for short), and though it may seem either too complicated or too simple at first, if you can start deploying this in your life, I promise you you will see effects that will have massive positive impact.

71: The tools of self-concept, life context, what they are, and how they will change your life Nov 29, 2020
    Show notes

In today's podcast episode, I'm talking about self-concept and life context as tools for changing your life. Self-concept is your idea of how you view yourself in the world, and life context is your filter for experiencing the world. I talk about how most of us have either an unintentional or negative self-concept and life context and give you practical tools for how you can begin to shift into more positive ones to support the life you'd like to create.
