When everyone looks left, Colin Stuckert looks right. According to him, it's always been this way. From a young age, Colin felt a steady tug away from what people thought of as "normal". In school, business, and life, Colin has often found himself time after time wearing the contrarian hat. And, that's just the way he likes it.

As an entrepreneur, Colin has dabbled in just about everything, from a gym owner to a juice bar to a supplement company and an agency. His natural appetite for risk and competition may seem like second nature, but it's been reinforced in him over time through years of taking risks, going all in, and iterating along the way. As you'll hear in our podcast with Colin, his path toward success has been anything but conventional. Even for him, the origins of his intuition around spotting an opportunity aren't fully clear. Was it the years he spent as a poker player in Las Vegas? Or was it his thousands of hours logged playing the video game Age of Empires with his friends (earning him a top spot in the global rankings)? Regardless of where Colin's edge comes from, he's got it and we spend a good portion of this episode unpacking the keys to becoming serious about finding opportunities, taking risks, and building things of value for people. Nate Pontious: Afghanistan to LA, Starting a Ranch, & Fitness for Life | MMP #189 May 26, 2023

Nate Pontious has not lived a conventional life. After growing up in Illinois, Nate spent his early adult life serving in Afghanistan as a member of the Marine Corps. As you'll hear in the podcast with Nate, his return to life as a civilian left him in an unfamiliar place. The nature of the Marines provided clear objectives and direction for him, and Nate's transition to civilian life felt abrupt. Without a real idea of what he wanted to do next, Nate left his hometown in Illinois for the coasts of California in search of something different. Nate started his life in LA sleeping on the beach, hustling for money and food, and working hard to establish himself. Nate ultimately found himself falling in love with the world of CrossFit, and quickly became a top-level competitor in the sport. As you'll hear in the podcast, Nate has a gift for putting his fitness and health at the center of his life, even during hard times. The key for him is his morning routine. All of his experiences led him to start his online fitness business with his now fiance, Remi, called Home Bodies, which has since become a massive success. Now, Nate is spending his days building and maintaining his ranch in Texas.

Our conversation with Nate took several directions. His stories cover the depth of the human experience: serving overseas in the Marine Corps, living homeless on the beaches of LA, competing in CrossFit, building a successful business, starting a ranch & pursuing a purpose-driven life. The gold that Nate shared with us in this conversation is a reflection of the thoughtful and purposeful nature that Nate carries with him every day. This one went deep and we hope you enjoy!

He's the host of the popular The Danny Miranda Podcast where he's hosted some of the world's most accomplished entrepreneurs and business people like Sam Parr, Nick Bare, Andy Frisella, Gary Vaynerchuk, and more. Danny is an absolute force in the world of podcasting, having launched his first podcast in September of 2020 and already amassed 359 episodes and an incredible following. Nina Teicholz is the author of the groundbreaking book The Big Fat Surprise, which exposed many of the conflicts with the established beliefs around saturated fat being inherently "bad". Her work has been cited in the New York Times and several medical journals including The Lancet, The BMJ, and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Nina has established herself as a thought leader in the world of nutritional policy with much of her work starting with her book and appearances on major media platforms like Joe Rogan and other major news sources. Her efforts to shift the existing narrative overshadowing the existing nutritional dogma have built an entire movement of people looking for alternatives to Big Food and Big Pharma. Nina has shed light on so many important connections and stories through history that have uncovered a larger agenda happening in the world of food. Her experience as a researcher was born out of her studies at Yale and Oxford, and now the former vegetarian (of 25+ years) is helping deconstruct the multiple layers of problematic policies destroying our health.

Steven Arena is the founder of Ancient Crunch, a snack food company focused on replacing the unhealthy snacks in your pantry with healthier alternatives. Steven became impassioned about health through his own struggles as a kid, inspiring him to launch his first product, MASA Chips. MASA Chips was launched in July of 2022 and has quickly gained traction as an up-and-coming healthy snack alternative to seed oil ladened chips like Lays and Doritos. Steven became a leader in the no seed oil movement through his content on Twitter and Instagram. His account, Tan Man, is where he shared practical advice on how to avoid toxic seed oils and live a healthier life.
