    Show notes

The majority of my coaching offers are GROUP programs for one simple reason…

Group coaching programs (when structured and marketed correctly) are INCREDIBLE – and can actually help clients achieve better results than 1:1 coaching. Plus, they allow coaches to scale their businesses in a way that 1:1 services could NEVER.

Today, I’m sharing the *many* reasons you should consider creating a group coaching program if you’re an online health and fitness coach, the problems coaches often encounter when trying to develop a group offer (and why they may fail), the best time to launch and sell group coaching, and much more.

I’m also sharing a brand new, one-time offer that you’ll DEFINITELY want to hear all about if you’re interested in creating a group coaching program that sells and provides amazing client transformations. Be sure to listen all the way to the end for the big reveal (and DM me on Instagram @lynettemarieh to get on the waitlist)!

    In this episode, I cover:

Turning my beginner business coaching program into a group coaching program and how I saw my clients’ results skyrocket [13:30]

The MANY benefits of the communities created in group coaching containers [14:50]

Why group coaching doesn’t lack customization and support and why these containers serve both the clients AND the coach [17:25]

My Predictions for the Online Coaching Industry in 2023 Jan 10, 2023
    Show notes

Don’t panic, but… the strategies and tactics that helped you connect with ideal clients on social media and make sales in your online coaching business last year probably won’t work so well in 2023.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though – especially if you’re ahead of the game and are proactive in transforming your content and offers to align with what current potential buyers DO want to see.

Listen to this episode to find out why you should focus on relationship-based sales and marketing (hint: this includes non-icky prospecting), why you should *not* create more low-ticket offers (even during a recession), how you can use futurecasting to boost your sales, and SO MUCH MORE!

    In this episode, I cover:

    My blanket hut: https://ibb.co/mCpSS36

The fact that the online space is ALWAYS evolving, which means our digital marketing efforts must also continue to evolve [3:50]

What makes me qualified to offer these predictions – and why I’m confident that my predictions are accurate [5:10]

Why I predict that relationship-based sales and marketing (and prospecting) will be key for connecting with new clients in 2023 [8:30]

The reasons I believe niching down further into your industry and becoming more of a specialist will help you grow your business [14:35]

NOT creating more low-ticket offers and instead offering more extended payment plans for your more expensive offers [16:30]

Using futurecasting to boost sales in 2023 [23:20]

Why you don’t have to worry about trending sounds anymore and can turn your focus back to creating ORIGINAL video content [26:05]

TikTok and why I believe it’s much easier to grow there than on Instagram (but still – do NOT abandon Instagram!) [30:00]

Why focusing more on creating educational content/infographics vs. personal photos will serve you well in 2023 [33:10]

How to Make $100k in 2023 Working LESS Jan 03, 2023
    Show notes

Happy New Year! In our first episode of 2023, I’m sharing how to make six figures in your online coaching business *THIS YEAR* while working 25 hours a week or less.

Yep – you read that correctly. It IS possible, and today, I’m showing you how you can make it happen in YOUR business.

It’s time to move your dream out of “hope” mode and into “how do I make this happen?” mode – but WITHOUT hustling yourself into the ground. In 2023, we’re working smarter, not harder… and we’re getting exactly what we want (or something even better).

If that sounds like something you’re ready for, this episode is for you. LET’S GO!

    In this episode, I cover:

Why you need a PLAN first – what strategic moves are you making to build or scale your business? [5:40]

Figuring out what tasks need to be completed in your business daily, weekly and monthly (and what you need to prioritize) [10:00]

The importance of scheduling your tasks on your calendar [12:10]

Instagram post detailing my 25-ish hour work week and how I batch my tasks: https://bit.ly/3hTw2jo

Staying accountable to your schedule and being CONSISTENT [16:15]

NOT allowing yourself to stay stuck for months on end – and if/when you do get stuck, hiring someone to help you [22:55]

What can happen when you reach out for help instead of going the DIY route [24:20]

Tough love: If you want this year to go differently than last year, you have to actually DO something different [28:15]

Plus, I’m sharing how I’m feeling going into the new year… and it might surprise you.

Unexpected lesson No. 4: You will always be the villain in someone’s story no matter how hard you try to do the right thing by them [32:35]

The importance of standing by your values vs. trying to control how people perceive you (which is a losing battle anyway) [42:05]

Extending grace and kindness to others and remembering that everyone is doing the best they can [43:40]

My Biggest Business Mistakes Dec 20, 2022
    Show notes

Today, in what is easily one of my most vulnerable podcast episodes, I’m discussing mistakes I’ve made over the past several years as a business owner… including some I NEVER talk about (the embarrassment is SO REAL).

I’m pulling back the curtain and spilling the tea on my most expensive mistake to date, launches that were a total flop, what happened when I shopped around for a “budget” coaching program, and so much more. Trust me: This episode gets JUICY!

I’m also sharing the MANY valuable lessons I’ve learned along the way and why I 100% believe in failing forward, especially in entrepreneurship.

Important reminder in case you have a history of beating yourself up over your mistakes: No one makes it through their biz ownership journey unscathed – even the most successful people stumble from time to time. As cheesy as it might sound, the “secret” is to be resilient, learn from your missteps and KEEP GOING! (how’s that for a pep talk?)

    In this episode, I cover:

Why I don’t think of anything in my business as a failure at this point – even when something doesn’t go well or according to plan [7:00]

How the ability to be resilient and positive in the midst of negative or not-so-ideal circumstances ALWAYS results in success [9:40]

Mistakes I made during my first few Balance & Thrive group program launches when I was an online fitness coach and what I learned in the process [13:30]

Social Media With Impact and its lackluster launches – why I didn’t retire the course and how I FINALLY got it to sell [23:00]

Why the $19/month fitness membership I launched in 2019 totally flopped [28:55]

The MAJOR flub I made during a masterclass where I pitched Social Media With Impact (hint: always triple-check your slides) [41:00]

What took me FOREVER to realize when I hosted free group challenges as an online fitness coach [42:30]

Why my first hire (a virtual assistant) didn’t work out so well, the mistakes I made as her boss and how the experience helped me create a win later on [45:20]

The mastermind I joined when I was looking for a “budget” coaching program [49:30]

How dabbling in ads cost me $20K in early 2021 and my takeaways from that VERY expensive experience [55:20]

What I’ve discovered through all of my mistakes in business and why I focus on failing forward rather than dwelling on my missteps [1:07:10]

Plus, you’ll get my recommendations on the best email platforms to use, tips for starting or growing your email list, ways to make your emails more effective, and much more!

A few of the BEST things about email marketing and why I’m very thankful I have an email list [6:45]

The importance of crafting creative, interesting, entertaining emails that people actually want to read [11:00]

Email platforms to use (hint: we don’t want to send emails straight from gmail) [12:55]

How to grow your email list, whether you’re just starting out or have been in business for a while [14:45]

Tips and recommendations for making email marketing EFFECTIVE [18:40]

Is Instagram Dead? Nov 29, 2022
    Show notes

Instagram definitely isn’t what it used to be… but does that mean it’s dead?

The short answer: No, Instagram is NOT dead.

The long answer: You’ve gotta listen to this episode (you knew that was coming, right?!).

You’ll find out why I think Instagram is actually an INCREDIBLE app with tons of potential for online coaches and service providers, how I’ve changed my social media expectations recently, the reasons likes and comments aren’t *really* all that important, and so much more.

PS: If you need more help with sales + marketing on Instagram, send me a DM @lynettemarieh. The Black Friday sale on my value-packed Instagram course, Social Media With Impact, JUST ended… but if you ask nicely, I miiiight still give you the 60% discount!

    In this episode, I cover:

How the “highlight reel” aspect of Instagram and the rise of cancel culture/mass shaming have impacted the ways we create and interact with content [5:15]

Comparisonitis, how it can affect business owners on Instagram and how I protect myself (you can do this, too!) [9:10]

Trending sounds, dances, etc. and how frustrating it can feel that Instagram is prioritizing video content [13:10]

Why I believe Instagram is NOT dead (and why it’s not going anywhere) [15:10]

Low engagement on Instagram – the reasons we’re seeing this across the board and why it’s not necessarily something to worry about [16:25]

Why you should focus on the number of views your posts get rather than likes and comments [20:55]

Changing your perspective on Instagram, content creation and engagement [22:25]

Feeling like everyone is doing the same things on Instagram or saying what YOU want to say and how that can be discouraging [23:55]

Struggling to get people to see your content if you don’t play the “game” [26:25]

Making social media marketing fun, exciting, enjoyable *AND* effective [28:30]

The reality: Social media is FREE advertising – it’s up to us to take advantage of the opportunities available [30:40]

Focusing on improving vs. wondering why everyone is better than you are [32:00]

Reframing your content strategy and questions to ask yourself before you create content to get yourself out of a rut [33:30]

How Much Is Too Much to Give on Social Media? Nov 22, 2022
    Show notes

Anyone who’s a coach or service provider using social media to market their services has probably asked themselves something to the effect of: “Should I make [insert piece of content] free, or should I put it behind a paywall?”

In other words, how much is TOO MUCH to give away for free online? And will sharing too much make people decide NOT to hire you because they think they don’t need your services anymore?

Today, I’m sharing why general education and advice – which you’re likely sharing in your free content – will NEVER replace the specific, personalized solutions your ideal clients are looking for.

You’ll find out why creating incredibly valuable, next-level content is ALWAYS the right move (if you want to increase the odds that your followers become clients, of course) – while, at the same time, honoring your existing clients by keeping certain things under wraps publicly.

    In this episode, I cover:

A common question I get from clients: How do you determine what to post on social media for free vs. what you reserve for paying clients? [4:00]

Why you don’t have to worry that you’re giving too much away (hint: consuming free content will NEVER replace the experience of actually working WITH someone) [5:15]

My belief that sharing highly valuable content makes you stand out in the best way – and that’s going to bring you more clients [8:30]

How I’ve pushed the “freebie” envelope as an online coach (and why you might want to try something like this, too!) [11:15]

The reasons I’m happy to give away just about EVERYTHING other than what’s inside of my programs [15:00]

Drawing the line: Sharing the what but not the how [15:50]

Why you shouldn’t overthink free vs. paid content [17:30]
