Show notes

Sounds like Team SFP had a blast at the Reality Rally and raised a nice chunk of change for a great cause too. Congratulations and a gigantic thanks to Christy, Mark, Mike and Bob for representing the awesome community here at SFP! Whatever credit Jay had previously earned with the fans went out the window this week as he all but voted himself out of the game. The kudos for Kim continue to pour in, but many wonder how much longer it can last. Most everyone is convinced that episode 10 will be super fan Troy's swan song.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty three fans shared their thoughts on episode 9 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Christy, Bob, MikeK, Alice, Samantha, Brian, Sandi, Lil' Russ, Anna, Erica, EvilJohn, James, Drew, Becca, EMP, Dave, BrandonA, Maria, Aaron, Keith, Jennifer & Sally, Donald, Michael, Dale and Jody.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 9 of Survivor One World Apr 13, 2012

Show notes

This week we interviewed Jay Byars. He left the game in episode 9 of Survivor One World. Jay got off to a rough start, but scrambled and eventually through the luck of the tribal shuffle ended up on the dominant alliance. Unfortunately for him, he had also fallen into a deep web cast by two beautiful women that completely controlled his destiny without him ever catching on. Listen to this interview to hear why he voted for Michael, details on his connection to Colton, what he will consider when it comes time to cast his vote for the winner and lots more!

One World Episode 9 Apr 12, 2012

Show notes

We did not get a pecking order challenge in this episode, but food temptations can also help shed extra light on where castaways think they stand in the tribe. It was great to see an HII played, unfortunately Jay ensured that we would not get the dramatic payoff we were hoping for all the while ensuring that he would be the next to go. How much do you credit Alicia and Leif with Chelsea's win? Does Troy have the connections to make a comeback? How do you think Chelsea will surprise us next? Who is your pick for a dark horse winner at this point in the game? Will Troy be able to go on an immunity challenge winning streak? Who is your pick for final five?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 9. Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Kat, Kim, Leif, Sabrina and Troy

We both think that Troy will be next to go unless he manages to win Immunity. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Show notes

It's official. The only person surprised that Michael was voted out, was Michael. It's seems clear that Kim is playing at a different level than everyone else in the game. Praise for her gameplay in this episode was abundant, but some are skeptical that she can maintain it all the way to the end. The consensus from the feedback is that Jay will be voted out next, but the strategy lovers are holding out hope that we will see Troy and Kim battle it out with their Hidden Immunity idols this week.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 8 of Survivor One World Apr 06, 2012

Show notes

This week we interviewed Michael Jefferson. He left the game in episode 8 of Survivor One World. Michael's initial alliance fell apart when Matt was booted and he scrambled hard to stay in the game. He managed to survive by fading into the background and drawing attention to others until a renourished Kim set her sights on getting rid of him. Listen to this interview to hear how stealing from the women on day one affected his game, which two men refused to work with him, what qualities will win his vote for sole survivor and lots more!

Show notes

So long sneaky banker. You danced, dodged, bobbed and weaved until Kim got some food in her belly and could think clearly again. Fully powered up, Kim managed to not only nuke Mike, but also manipulate Troy, manage Jay and almost won individual immunity. Can you imagine what she will be able to accomplish if she manages to win a second reward challenge? It sure would be great if we got a pecking order challenge in episode 9 so everyone could see where they stood. Does Troy have a chance to recover? Should he play his HII now? Will he be forced to reveal that he has an HII to ensure that he can get enough votes to take control of the tribe? Does Kim have it in the bag from here? Who do you think the men could convince to swing their votes away from the all female alliance?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 8. Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Jay, Kat, Kim, Leif, Sabrina and Troy

Jo Ann thinks the annihilation will continue as Jay becomes the next victim of the women's alliance. Stacy thinks that Troy will come to his senses and set a trap for Kim. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

The exit of Jonas surprised a lot of us, but it also sparked lots of theories for how the season will play out from here. We really enjoyed hearing all the scenarios our Survivor SuperFans dreamed up this week. References to Dr. Poopy Pants, AKA Tarzan/Greg, and his wacky behavior provided an endless supply of humor in the feedback too!

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 7 of Survivor One World Mar 29, 2012

Show notes

This week we interviewed Jonas Otsuji. He left the game in episode 7 of Survivor One World. Jonas played a classic "under the radar", "as long as it's not me" game. He was well liked by most everyone in the tribe, but none of that worked in his favor after the tribes merged. Listen to this interview to hear the strategy he used in his audition video that payed off, who is really calling the shots after the merge, who created the awesome new tribe flag and lots more!

One World Episode 7 Mar 29, 2012

Show notes

Now we know why they merged the tribes at night. The finance guy found a way to save a few bucks on the budget by trimming it down to cheese-n-crackers plus a couple bottles of champagne instead of the big feasts we have seen in past seasons. It was exciting to learn that a second idol is in play. Do you think Troy will keep that to himself, or will he be dying to share it with someone like Jay? How would you rate this season's merge flag and tribe name? Who do you think is in a better position in the game at this point: Kim or Troyzan? Did Christina and Alicia catch a huge break, or will they simply be the last two to get voted out if new Salani sticks to their plan? It appears that everyone dislikes Greg. Do you think he will be dragged along to the final 3 like his predecessor Secret Agent Underpants? Do you think we might still see a female alliance take control of the game and vote out all the men?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 7. Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Jay, Kat, Kim, Leif, Michael, Sabrina and Troy

Jo Ann still thinks they will target Michael next. Stacy thinks the sneaky banker will be safe for a little while as they continue to focus on wiping out new Manano and send Leif to the Ponderosa. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

One World Episode 6 LF Mar 26, 2012

Show notes

Episode 6 brought an end to a particularly dark story arc from this season, and also the transition to a new beginning with the onset of the merge. Regardless of how he exited the game, a lot of folks expressed how glad they were to to see Colton go. In keeping with the diversity of views here though, some were sad to see him leave and wondered at how it might have played out if he stayed. As for the future, there were several theories offered as to who will betray previous allegiances to form the new controlling faction as we head into the second, distinct phase of the game.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game.
