Show notes

Tarzan finally outlived his usefulness to the women. He also managed to melt down while he was in the process of making a somewhat convincing case for how he could get to final 3. Kim was busy as usual, playing all sides and somehow convincing them that she was allied with each person. Tarzan tried the same ploy and was promptly busted and booted out of the tribe. Will the finale bring a surprise winner? Do you think we will be spared a bitter jury? Can Kim hang on to win it all? If not Kim, who would you be happy to see win?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 13. Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Kim and Sabrina

Jo Ann's final 5 order is: Chelsea, Sabrina, Christina, Alicia and Kim for the win. Stacy thinks it will be: Christina, Chelsea, Alicia, Sabrina and Kim for the win. What's your final 5 order?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547. One World Episode 12 LF May 07, 2012

Show notes

Kat's first "wake up call" came on day 5 at the tribal council in episode 2. The Salani tribe was deciding between voting out Kat or Nina. When asked if they would choose the same day one alliance members if they could do it again, Kim, Chelsea and Sabrina all said no. Kat's second wake up call came in the reward challenge in episode 11 when she got the most votes for a castaway, wait for it, most in need of a "wake up call". The last call came in this episode when she was blindsided while laughing at how funny blindsides are. Kat's antics did provide lots of fuel for your quips and jokes this week, and for that we are thankful. You guys also managed to find a scenario where everyone left in the game, even Christina, could end up winning, and we didn't think that was possible. Nice work!

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty four fans shared their thoughts on episode 12 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Josh, EvilJohn, Justin, Aaron, Lil' Russ, Samantha, Nicki, Thomas, BrandonA, Dave, Brian, Drew, EMP, KathyS, Carolyn, Michael, Eric, Anna, MikeK, Jeremiah, Dale, Alice, Ryan and Paul.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 12 of Survivor One World May 04, 2012

Show notes

This week we interviewed Kat Edorsson. She left the game in episode 12 of Survivor One World. She came very close to being voted out on day 5, but an early alliance opted to keep her even though they openly expressed regretting that first choice. Her clueless approach to life often proved entertaining for the fans, but in the end it was her undoing. Listen to this interview to hear who organized the "day one" women's alliance, why she felt embarrassed to leave before Tarzan and Christina, what she regrets saying at that last tribal council and lots more!

Show notes

Yes Kat, blindsides are fun and exciting, for the fans. Poor clueless Kat, Kat the brat, the fart blossom of her tribe. She provided lots of comic relief and her occasional struggles for self awareness and the consideration of her legacy in the game, almost make us feel sorry for her, almost. In the end, she might have a shot at being remembered for lowering the bar of comparison for future castaways. Kim made another strategic blunder this week, but was able to lay most of that off on Kat. She appears unstoppable at this point. Only a bitter jury will foil her plans to win it all! Who will Kim choose to replace Kat in her final three master plan? Who of the remaining players represent the biggest physical threats? How about the strategic threats? Who do you think the jury is already favoring? Has Greg been scamming everyone and really playing the best possible game to get himself to the end?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 12. Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Kim and Sabrina

Jo Ann thinks Tarzan will be the next to go. Stacy thinks it is finally time to send Christina packing. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

One World Episode 11 LF Apr 29, 2012

Show notes

The likes of Christina and Tarzan stump most all of us. They don't seem to have a role to play in the game. As much as we wish for a misfits alliance, there seems little chance of it ever happening with this crew. Many lamented the elimination of Troyzan, and others found it predictable given that he couldn't curb his emotions enough to build an alliance to take on queen Kim. It's not clear yet if her stumble this week will have any repercussions, but many of us hold out hope for a new challenger to arise, if only to add some drama to a such a dominant performance.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Unfortunately, he ran up against a formidable, albeit rare all women alliance that denied him his dream of winning it all. One World Episode 11 Apr 26, 2012

Show notes

Hooray! We finally got a chopping block challenge. We love these because they often help point out the unspoken order within alliances and can serve as wakeup calls to the ones stuck at the bottom. The tribemate quiz versions also offer the opportunity for the castaways to be mean to each other which can sometimes result in long standing grudges. Troy, Christina and Sabrina were on the receiving end of the beatdown this time. The overwhelming odds finally got the best of Troy. We give him credit for not giving up and trying everything he could think of all the way to the bitter end. He unfortunately poisoned the waters with all his previous outbursts which limited his opportunities to win someone over to his side when he needed it the most. Christina was chosen as least deserving to still be in the game. Yet she is still here. She doesn't even seem to be a target for the next episode. Do you think she has a chance of making it to the end? What do you think Troy's final words to Kat meant? When is the right time to challenge Kim? Who could make the best case to beat her at this point? Do you think Tarzan could win if they drag him to final 3? Kim appeared to make some significant tactical errors in this episode. Did she jeopardize her chances to win? Does it make her appear to be less of a threat? There are now five jury members. Who do you think they are leaning towards for the win?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 11. Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Kat, Kim and Sabrina

Jo Ann thinks Tarzan will be the next to go. Stacy thinks it's time for the women to turn on each other, and Kat will be the first victim. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?

Show notes

Lots of us want to cheer for the underdog as he does battle against the all powerful women's alliance, but his in your face celebrations and unwillingness to acknowledge the error of his ways makes it difficult to keep cheering for Team Troy. Many believe Christina and Alicia sealed their fate when they turned down Troy's ploy to take control, but a few hold out hope that they are working an as yet invisible alliance that would help explain their lack of initiative. His role on Survivor was largely insignificant, but we wish Leif luck on his quest to make it on to The Amazing Race.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 10 of Survivor One World Apr 20, 2012

Show notes

This week we interviewed Leif Manson. He left the game in episode 10 of Survivor One World. Leif made Survivor history as the first little person to play the game. Unfortunately, he never really found a strategy he could leverage to become the sole survivor and became yet another victim of the all powerful women's alliance. Listen to this interview to hear how being on the show has changed his life, what one thing he still misses from the show, what qualities he looks for and respects in a winner and lots more!

One World Episode 10 Apr 19, 2012

Show notes

If Troy could muster some self discipline, he might have the makings of an All Star Survivor. He nailed the auction strategy, pulled off a perfect HII search/find fake out, managed to win a crucial Immunity challenge, and topped it off with a strategy that would flip the power structure of the tribe giving the lowest players on the totem pole a chance to take control. It was all marred though by his bitter, often times vindictive outbursts now that he realizes he is an extreme underdog to win and was betrayed by those he thought he was closest to. Assuming he could make it to the end, how much damage did Troy do to his chances with the jury? Could he recover from so many bitter outbursts? Did Alicia, Christina and Tarzan just pass up their best opportunity to take control of the game when they opted not to take Troy's proposal? Who will be the first to bail on the core alliance that consists of Kim, Chelsea, Sabrina and Kat?

Here is the merged tribe after episode 10. Tikiana:Alicia, Chelsea, Christina, Greg, Kat, Kim, Sabrina and Troy

As far as we are concerned, Troy's head will remain on the chopping block until further notice. Who is your pick for the next one to be voted out?
