Brian is not only very passionate and learned about the art of action figure collecting, but he's also very handy behind the mic, as he podcasts himself. His podcast, Comics Now, is a great show covering all things geek culture and there are a couple of really good interviews on there too! Definitely worth checking out!
Brian also knows a thing or two (thousand) about action figures so it really proved insightful chatting with him and I came away learning a great deal. He also had fun skirting around the B-word (if you know what I mean), however, I still had to pull out the bleeps to keep the show Bat-free!! :P
A point of difference for this upcoming episode is that not only does Brian bring his A-game, but he's also generously shared some photos of his Mezco Crescent Edition Moon Knight figure, so I'll be creating an album that can be viewed and referenced for the podcast…I hope you get to have a squizz at Brian's photos…the figure looks stunning and it will give you a good sense of what we are talking about during the review.

#ITKMoonKnight 2019 Fantasy Comic League (FCL) - 2nd Season: September ResultsThe results are in for the first month of the new season and I have to tell you, we've got a huge surprise!
The final weeks of September saw a huge push in performance from the two captains (Captain America and Captain Marvel) which saw Jason skyrocket in points and he ends up claiming first place with 64 points!
Tommy petered off towards the end of the month and drops from a leading first place to third; I've managed to retain second place with a solid perfomance from top-tier character Wolverine.
Chad shows he is still vying for an improvement from last season by hanging onto fourth place, with unfortunately Dustin rounding off the division with a quiet month from the likes of seemingly big hitters Doctor Strange, Thor and the two Hulks.
So, at the end of the first month, the season points tally are awarded as follows -
Jason (@Magisterjason) - 3 pts
High Priest of Khonshu Rey (@reyreymondo) - 2 pts
Tommy 'The Man on the Street' (@thomaskawel) - 1 pt
'The Power of ' Chad (@AngledTime) - 1 pt

At the end of the four months, whomever accrues the highest amount of season tally points is awarded the winner of the season and claims a trade paperback of their choice!
We are in the midst of drafting for October (hopefully we'll lock all our players in soon) and then it's a tense wait to see how our characters fare over the month!
September, however, belongs to Jason - so he currently has bragging rights over his other Loonies! Well done, Jason!! Great start to your inaugural season!
GUEST APPEARANCES
Just a small note that I'll be traversing the podcast airwaves again, so you'll be able to find me talking all about - you guessed it - Moon Knight, on 20th Century Geek alongside my fellow Moon Knight fan and host for the show, Scott Weatherly.
It will be the second part to Scott's spotlight on Moon Knight - if you haven't checked out his Episode 89, I urge you to do so. I had so much fun chatting with Scott about Moon Knight in the comics; some SPECTOR-LATING; and some talk about the upcoming TV show. It was an absolute pleasure being on, so Scott, if you are reading this - thank you very much!! Still under the influence of hallucinogenic gas, Moon Knight thinks that an oncoming subway train is a monster. He flattens himself against the wall as it passes, then jumps onto the roof to get to its brain and kill it. In a flash of sanity, he realizes he's on a train. He drops into a car, reaches the engineer's compartment, and knocks out the driver. On his way to his hotel to warn Marlene about the water, he hears voices from a sewer pipe, one of them Crawley's, the other a friend of Redshirt's. The friend flees at the sight of Moon Knight, but Crawley has learned where Ernie, a member of the gang, lives.
In a smoke-filled room in Washington, D.C., a group of men speculate on the possibility that the Chicago terrorist gang may strike elsewhere. In Chicago City Hall, waiting for the $25 million extortion payoff, Simon tells Fox that he sent the other two gang members to Ernie's place, ostensibly for supplies but really in hopes they'd get killed in the chaos, which would mean bigger shares for them. At Miegs Fields, one of the men from Washington briefs the helicopter pilot who will deliver the "ransom." At Ernie's place, Crawley breaks in, quickly followed by the two other gang members, who are picking up bottled water. Crawley pushes a row of boxes over onto them and knocks them out.
Moon Knight arrives at his hotel. The room is a mess, and the bathroom sink has been left running. Marlene, hiding in the shower, stabs him twice in the back with a shard of broken glass. He knocks her out and ties her up. Crawley arrives and tells him there are only gang members two left, and they're at City Hall.
At dawn the chopper drops a sack on the roof of City Hall. Simon and Fox (wearing their masks with air filters) open it. A cloud of tear gas emerges but dissipates in the wind. The man from Washington orders the National Guard to assault the building. Moon Knight arrives, climbs to a rooftop, and hitches a ride on a police chopper to follow Simon and Fox's getaway car. In the car, Simon plans to poison the water supply because he didn't get his money. When Fox protests, Simon shoots him.
At the reservoir, Simon has an oil drum full of poison. Moon Knight drops from the chopper and glides down to give him a body blow. The drum rolls toward the water. Simon draws a gun. Moon Knight can close with Simon or stop the drum, but not both! Or can he? He throws a dart, knocking Simon's gun out of his hand, and stops the drum in the nick of time.
Three days later, Steven Grant, Marlene, Frenchie, and Crawley watch a crane pull Moon Knight's helicopter out of the lake. "C'est la vie," says Frenchie, "We wished to make some changes in zee design anyway, oui?"

Unfortunately, as mentioned in the previous ISLA RA episode, I wasn't able to secure a time for Luis 'Mr Moon Knight' Brambila to come onto the show this weekend to chat about issue #8.
Understandably so, Luis has family obligations (here's to the wonderful addition to the family, Luis!), so Luis will be kept busy enough as it is with feeding, changing nappies and what-not. The two High Priests should be available to look at the review and although I've not confirmed it yet…let's just say for argument's sake that Connorshu will be onboard to look at a very interesting issue from Doug Moench!
I'll see if we broadcast a live stream as well…some of you may have noticed that we have been playing around with a new platform, GetVokl, which allows us to broadcast live and simulcast onto our Facebook, Twitter and Youtube…it's a fun thing to do and we'll try and work out when best to use it, but for the meantime, tune in to -

ROUNDTABLE ROBIN - RETURN OF THE VENGEANCESome of you may also have noticed this week that another episode was dropped without any pomp or circumstance. Well, it was a long time coming and without going into too much detail, a HUGE effort by some Loonies have made the release of the second part to our Loony-centric ROUNDTABLE ROBIN Special possible!

Connorshu is the funny one out of the two of us....and he's the progenitor of 'The Rickball Special' and 'Man on the Streets' if memory serves me correct!

#ITKMoonKnight 2019 Fantasy Comic League (FCL) - 2nd Season: September ProgressThe second season of the Fantasy Comic League is well underway for the #ITKMoonKnight division, with a running progress posted up late last week showing how each of the Loonies stand -
Tommy has returned to the new season with a vengeance and jumps out to a decent lead ahead of the pack; I'm close behind, and I hope that Wolverine can cash in some points over the coming weeks...he's generally a golden goose, but anything is possible. Chad has stepped up to the plate this time and he's shown his intent by claiming third place so far - we've only just touched the surface with Dr Doom, so big things are surely up ahead for Chad....oh! Also Serpent War will also boost Chad's score no doubt in the final month.
The remaining players Jason and Dustin round off the division. Jason's first season with the #ITKMoonKnight crew and he's made a solid start. History has shown that Cap and Cap Marvel are big hitters, so expecting to see big things from Jason in the weeks to come. Dustin also doesn't have a bad team at all, and you'd think that She-Hulk will feature big for the remainder of the year, due to her TV show announcement. Similar to Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight, it would be silly of Marvel to not tout these characters around in their comics to generate a buzz for the interest shown from the TV show announcements.
A pretty good start to the second season I say - it's all up for grabs still....stay tuned here, or type in #FantasyComicLeague (or heck, follow @FantasyComicLG on Twitter to stay up to date with the FCL standings for not only ITK, but all the other divisions too!

OZ COMIC CON HERE I COME!
Finally, I just wanted to mention that this weekend, I'm super excited as I'll be attending a comic book convention - the first convention I've attended over the last 28 or so years (!)....I went to one way back in 1991 and it's still been the only comic book convention I've ever been to.
I'll be attending alongside fellow Collective member, Dave Finn from The Signal of Doom Podcast and it should be a hoot! I'm not too sure what to expect - over here in Australia, there have been not so positive reviews of comic cons here...mainly because they tend to not focus too much on comics...but I'll still keep an open mind.
I'm all about bargains, so I'll be taking some cash with me and hope to score some deals on anything Moon Knight, Black Knight, Hercules, Marvel Legends, Quasar or Wonder Man!

Welcome, welcome, WELCOME to the latest and greatest ITK newsletter for you this week, coming straight from the hand-eye coordinated skills of one of the High Priests of Khonshu, Rey!
We had a blast last week reviewing the new Moon Knight comic annual and it was so much fun chatting with the likes of Tommy and Chad alongside fellow High Priest Connor. More on this later, but we've got a new platform we're keen to test out!
In any case, this coming episode is a FUN one! My gosh, it has been ages and for so long I've wanted to have a chat with our special guest next episode, Derek, as I've been a huge fan of Derek and his co-hosts' work on TV Podcast Industries (previously known as Defenders TV Podcast).
Derek, John and Chris allowed us to find our feet int he podcasting world, so we'll be forever grateful to them, and anyway - it was such a pleasure to chat with Derek FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER face-to-face so to speak.

ISLA RA SESSIONS - DEREK O'NEILL FROM TV PODCAST INDUSTRIES
I've had the absolute pleasure of chatting with Derek's co-host Chris Jones a couple of times on ITK, and we've had Derek and John narrate the 'Bare Bones' (long time listeners would know what that it - basically it's the comic book synopsis) in the past, but this was the first time I actually got to speak to Derek, and all nerves aside (which comes with chatting with someone you look up to) it was an absolute blast!

NEW PLATFORM FOR INTO THE KNIGHT - A NEW ERA
In other news, we tested a new platform last week (and a BIG shoutout to Capes and Lunatics, a fellow member of The Collective who put us onto the platform) called GetVokl.
It's brilliant and opens up some possibilities for hosts and Loonies alike! It's similar to Discord in the fact that it allows Loonies to converse with one another, and even do that in a video or audio capacity. It opens the door to the hosts in that we can now broadcast shows live with video and have it simulcast over Facebook and Twitter...! We won't be doing this for every show we do (for instance, next episode will not be broadcast live as it's already recorded and edited) but whenever an opportunity pops up, we may give it a go.
There's also an ITK Welcome room which accommodates up to four Loonies who just want to hang out and chat away about anything Moon Knight related...
It seems like a heap of fun, so be sure to check it out and subscribe if you can!
THE LOST SESSIONS?
Also, as a bit of a heads up - some Loonies recorded the second episode of the ROUNDTABLE ROBIN: A SIDEKICKS' REVENGEANCE and I've got 80% of it completed. The utter tragedy is that one of the set of vocals didn't successfully record, so it has been left incomplete and therefore delayed.
We at ITK and the Loonies involved are working hard to rectify this and we are looking to release this episode once I get the new vocals and it's all edited together.
Some of you may have seen this featured as a GetVokl broadcast last weekend, and you would have caught the last two-thirds of it... there was actually another 20 minutes before the broadcast, which will be captured int he final cut of the podcast when it's released, so you'll get to hear the entire chat in all it's glory!

I'll also be recording another episode of Last Sons of Krypton - A Superman Podcast with my brother in arms, Connor McKenna. We'll be reviewing DC Comics Presents #85 with Superman teaming up with the Swamp Thing. We'll even have guests on the show too...a couple of hosts who have their own Swamp Things Podcast will join us to give their expert take on that gooey, swampy mess of a man!

BARE BONES (SYNOPSIS) - written by Rey and Tommy
Kang the Conqueror goes head to head with Khonshu's faithful -- a devoted collective that have usurped Kang's powers to bend time with three relics of immortal power. Though Kang is able to reshape reality with his vast power over time, Khonshu's Avatars are left as the anomalies in each and every timeline, and they become the only force able to stop Kang and his plan for domination.
Marc Spector, the Moon Knight and Avatar of Vengeance of our time and space, soon finds himself embroiled in the eternal and ever-repeating battle between Khonshu and Kang. Khonshu, a father-figure of Kang, feels the need to reprimand Kang for seeking the totems stolen from his temple. Since Khonshu opposes Kang, Marc is able to seek out and enter time rifts in order to foil Kang's plan and to stop him gaining the totems.
Kang claims the Ankh which allows him to control time, but Marc soon nabs the Scarab, which allows him to cut through time uncontrollably.
Battles rage from the wild west, to ancient Rome, 18th Century Boston, 1920's Chicago, 19th Century London, Pirates of the 18th Century, the far flung future and even 4000 BC Mesopotamia.
What seems to be the Moon Knight Prime sits atop a hill with the Scepter..the final Totem of Kang's. Kang and Moon Knight arrive and in the melee, Moon Knight manages to grab the Scepter, linking the three totems together and for a split second, he has the power. All the Moon Knights from every time line is summoned and Kang is defeated.
Moon Knight Prime claims the three totems and after banishing Kang, she departs too, protecting the totems in a dimension void of time.

Truth be told, I've actually not had the chance to read it yet as I've been running around like a headless chook arranging various things, but judging from the response we received in our ITK Community (on the Spoiler Post) and after having taken a sneaky peek at some of the comments, it seems that the annual was received quite favourably and all signs point to a positive story - I can't wait to read it!
Joining the two High Priests (of myself and Connor) for this review will be two seasoned Loonies - Tommy 'The Man on the Street' and 'The Power of' Chad. It'll be heaps of fun having theses guys not he show and between the four of us, we'll have plenty to talk about!

#ITKMoonKnight 2019 Fantasy Comic League - August Results & 1st Season: Final Results!
The overall season tally ended up quite close, with organiser Brian stating that there has never been such a close finish for a division in FCL history!
Rey - 8 points (272 score) Tommy - 8 (260) Connor- 6 (229, 96 best month) Dustin- 6 (229, 62 best month) Chad- 0 Basically Tommy and myself tied, with the differential being overall season points tally...so I scraped in by the skin of my teeth! Connor and Dustin had it even closer with them tied with both their Season points and overall season tally! It went down to whomever had the best points scored in a month, and Connor took that out, presumably from the month of July when he won that month...It's been one helluva season and with the close of our inaugural season, I'm happy to announce that the #ITKMoonKnight division in the FCL will be back for a season 2! Nearly all the same players will return, the only difference being that Connorshu had to decline due to a busy and hectic work schedule, so we are happy to welcome honourary Loony member, Jason Albaugh to our division! Jason is a friend of Tommy's and I'm not sure of his FCL experience, but in any case it will make for a fun second season!

No guest appearance from me during this week...just content to plug away at both ITK and LSK (Last Sons of Krypton, my other podcast) stuff...!
It had been a bumper last couple of weeks, so I thought it best to take a back seat for a while, chill, and catch up on my comics!...
