Loonies one and all,
Thank you for your patience and for grabbing a copy of this in your hot little hands! We're back in full swing and I thought it best if we try hold our show a little bit until the moon phases into a Last Quarter - that way, we can base our next episode on gaming!!
PHASE OF THE MOON: LAST QUARTER
AVATARS OF VENGEANCE - MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3 REVIEW
Keeping things different and segments rotating, we'll be returning to the world of gaming, and we'll also be welcoming onto the show a recent Loony, podcaster and all round nice guy, Joey Agliata for a good ol' chat and for Joey to lend his expertise on gaming to actually add depth to our review on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3!
I've not got the game, and I believe Connorshu has not played it themselves, so it's a no-brainer to have Joey on to elaborate on all the prizes and trappings of the game...especially on how our boi Moony is represented in it!
Joey has plenty of experience with podcasting as he hosts his own called, Jump & Shoot and it recently has branched out to broader topics...one of the more recent episodes being on the entire run of Moon Knight!
Can't wait to chat with Joey - should be heaps of fun!
THE HUNT FOR KHONSHU'S GOLDEN SCEPTRE - RESURRECTED!
So I bet some of you thought this was dead in the water, yeah?...Well....WRONG!! Hehehe...it's still alive and kicking, and I just have to find time to edit together Episode 6, which will be the next instalment of this series...! It's been over a month since Episode 5, so I don't blame you if you've forgotten where we are up to with this one. Needless to say, you can see how the absence of Khonshu's Sceptre has royally stuffed up our podcasts with the phases of the moon! We've managed to align the upcoming episode with the Last Quarter...but crikey! The past few episodes have been not exactly adhering to Khonshu's wishes! Let's hope we find the Sceptre soon to return to some sense of normality!
The upcoming episode will show what Connorshu has been up to, after his meeting with The Man on the Streets. A new character pops up to lend a hand and we MAY or MAY NOT get a first glimpse at the Golden Sceptre itself!
If you want a recap on all the previous episodes, you can find them here !
Get reacquainted, then crack the popcorn out for another serial episode dropping in the upcoming show!
THE COLLECTIVE - TOP RECOMMENDS THIS WEEK!Alright, it's that time again to give some shout outs to some of our good mates in The Collective, a podcast network we are so proud to be part of.
If you've not heard about it, just hit the link at the bottom of the page to read all about the collaborative network we are a part of...also, check out these sweet recommends which have come out this past week!

Shoot us your thoughts on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3! We're always glad to hear if you like gaming and more so, if you find Moon Knight well represented in the latest game from Marvel!
If you DON'T want your comments broadcast, please just add, "(DNB)" at the end of your comment, and we'll be sure not to broadcast it. We'll pick a few comments from here and discuss on the show!
That's it's for this week. So as mentioned, we'll be releasing our episode a bit late in order to align with the Last Quarter phase of the Moon...hope this newsletter and the recommended Collective podcasts tide you over until then!

Loonies!
Allow me to assault you once again with a fair newsletter for your weekly consumption!
Welcome back to the ITK newsletter which gives you all you need to know for the upcoming episode. This time around, there is of course your usual Moon Knight fare, but things are slightly different this time around as we look towards some creative work done by one of our own Loonies, Corey Hardiman…it's an independent comic book, 'Sister Mercy' which we will 'review' (I'm hesitant to 'review it, as I don't want to 'mark' it) and discuss on the show!
PHASE OF THE MOON: NULL + VOID
LUNAR-PICK REVIEWS - OVERVIEW OF THE CONTAGION SERIES + SISTER MERCY ISSUE #1 by Corey Hardiman
But apart from that, there will be standard Moon Knight goodness with two things of note -
Firstly, we'll be discussing the recently concluded Contagion event which featured our Fist of Khonshu - and not only was it a fleeting appearance, but Marc actually swung in to save the day! I won't give much away here as to my thoughts on the series, but needless to say, you'll want to tune in for this one to gather some…let's just say, interesting thoughts I had on it all…
Very keen to hear what you thought of it too - I've posted up a Spoiler Thread in the FB Group and Page for those who want to drop us a line…we'd love to read out and discuss your thoughts too on the show.
I actually had the honour of guesting also on the Iron Fist podcast, to chat about Contagion too…more on that later down the newsletter in our Collective section…
As you can see, we've ignored Khonshu once again with the phases of the Moon…methinks it has to do with the lost Golden Sceptre…remember that? :)
Yes, I've not forgotten about our little serial, and you'll be happy to know that Episode 6 of THE HUNT FOR KHONSHU'S GOLDEN SCEPTRE should drop either this coming episode, or next. I just have to find some time to stitch the episode together, but I have all the material and am keen to keep our serial chugging along!
Aside from the Contagion and Sister Mercy review/discussion on the show, there's also the '10 Things you Need to Know about Moon Knight' initiative that Rebecca and Connor(shu) instigated int heir podcast episode 118 '2K Nine-Nine'.
We got heaps of feedback for it, so I'm keen to feature this on the show, however, I'm not really sure what the other High Priests had in mind. Speaking of which, Rebecca will be unavailable this coming episode, and I'm just trying to confirm the availability of young Connor(shu)…what you MIGHT get this coming episode is either a solo from me (which I'd prefer not to, as I'd love to discuss these issues for review with someone else), or a special guest that I may happen to snag.
Just another tiny factor playing into consideration is that my little Khonshu, Finn, has upturned his sleeping pattern and so it's hard to ascertain when I can actually record. Fear not! I will find a slot somewhere in the day (or night) and be sure to release an ITK episode to keep this show going strong! Only downside is that it's hard to coordinate co-hosts, as my time availability is at the whim of my 15-month old! :P
I'm even thinking of perhaps taking a short break to record a bunch of pre-recorded shows as an option of keeping the lights on at ITK...I don't know...it's a tricky one, as with pre-recorded shows you can't really do current news or updates...hhhmmmm, I'll have to give it some more thought...
FANTASY COMIC LEAGUE - OCTOBER RESULTS IN!
We have the results for the end of October and geez Louise, call me Mac 'n' Cheese, things are damn well exciting!
It was no surprise that Tommy took out the month with a commanding lead in week three of October, and as seen in the card above, Tommy remains top dog with juuuust under a century to his name. Well done, Tommy! Both The Thing and Miles had a huge month...with ol' Blue eyes in Contagion as well as the various FF books, his points saw him shoot The Man on the Streets up to top billing...
I was fortunate enough to have Cap do very well at the tail end of the month, so I managed to hang onto second place for the second time this season, with a respectable score of 85. I was pretty disappointed with Wolverine's effort and to be honest, I was expecting way more from Iron Fist too, as the weekly Contagion I was sure was going to yield a flurry of points for Danny...but not to be...
This was a clincher! Jason (previous month's leader) scraped into third position this month by one point! Poor Dustin must have been ropable! Still, well done to Jason for again picking a solid draft and making it to third spot. The big standout for Jason was Sue Storm, and I think she'll continue to do well in November, considering her solo title is still going, and she is of course, like The Thing, featured in the numerous FF titles out this month...it truly is a golden era for the FF in comics after a long drought, so expect to see the FF members firing in the FCL...
Cold Case Kurtz comes in at fourth at the end of October, just missing out by a whisker. Doctor Strange seems to have served him well (and I'm pretty sure he'll continue to do so in November) with modest totals from the Hulk and Thor. Dustin has already relinquished She-Hulk for another, so we'l see how his team fares in November...best of luck, Dustin (and Happy Birthday!)
Beloved Loony, The Power of Chad rounds out the division, and for me, the biggest upset here was Venom. With Absolute Carnage in full swing, I would have thought Venom to be cleaning up the points but perhaps with Absolute Carnage wrapping up in November, that may still be the case. Chad really needs more from Doctor Doom...I've not read the title, but with an issue out this month, let's hope for Chad's sake that Victor lays it on thick for his Latverian citizens! Modest totals from Black Panther and Conan provide the meat of Chad's score...again, let's hope there's more activity from T'Challa in both the Avengers book, his solo title and the Agents of Wakanda...! Similarly, Conan has his solo title, potential appearances in the spin off titles, and Savage Avengers...plenty of chances to light up that scoreboard!
So, at the half-way mark of the season, the standings for our Loonies are as follows:
Tommy - 4 points
Rey - 4 points
Jason - 4 points
Dustin - 1 point
Chad - 1 point
It's still anyone's game..if Dustin or Chad dominate in November and December, then they could certainly make a play for the title this season, and walk away with e free trade of their choice...!
In addition to that, Tommy, Jason and myself are in a good position to consolidate and potentially if either of us take out one of the coming months, then it would be hard to beat...
It's all still up for grabs!
I'm hoping to maybe get Brian Bradley and a couple of the Loonies from our division on the show as we get close to the end, to discuss more of the FCL and how things look like panning out...until then, we've got a bit more drafting to do, then it's all systems go!
THE COLLECTIVE, THE SPECTOR-CALLIt's fun being part of The Collective, and in addition to all the podcasts helping each other out...it's fun to listen to them all too! I've been catching up on a few of our colleagues, and as started last week, I'd like to SPECTOR-CALL them out here for your perusal...Give them a go if you're up for alternate things to listen to (but keep listening to us of course! hahaha)
Anyway, here's what's on display at Collective-Mart this week coming....
CONTACT US!
Again, as mentioned, we'd love to hear your thoughts on Contagion too...I've posted up a Spoiler Thread in the FB Group and Page, so if that makes things easier, please drop your thoughts there...otherwise we have other ways in which you can contact us....
If you DON'T want your comments broadcast, please just add, "(DNB)" at the end of your comment, and we'll be sure not to broadcast it. We'll pick a few comments from here and discuss on the show!
OK, I better shoot this off to the printers to get published...(yes, I am ye of olden day speak...you know what I mean!)...stick with us, it's always bound to be a surprise...! Hope to hear from you on any of our platforms and hope you like the upcoming episode!

EPISODE 119:
FEATURING TOP 4 BOOKS BY JOHN 'DOC' HARRISON!
Rey returns to invite the highly affable and always entertaining John 'Doc' Harrison - one of the hosts of TV Podcast Industries, a podcast which has covered a diverse range of TV shows and films ranging from the Netflix Defenders, to Gotham, to Hannibal, to the most recent Watchmen...
John reveals how he got into comics; his foray into the world of music; an obsession he has which he isn't too proud of; his dislike of how films are gauged these days; and his love for scaring himself witless!
Alongside a good ol' chat at Gena's Diner, the pair also whisk away to other places to discuss the four comics John could not live without -
John's Top 4 Isla Ra (Desert Island) Comics: ???
As always, we aren't giving anything away! Below you'll find encrypted links to John's books. These will be in the show nots as well, but if you want to prepare for the show and discover what books John has chosen - and read them ahead of our discussion - then look no further than below -

Hello Dear Loonies!
Welcome back to the ITK newsletter which had gone missing for a while. As a matter of fact, the episode had been missing last week, and if it wasn't for the generous effort made by both High Priests Rebecca and Connor, episode 118 would not have been dropped in time as well! Yes, there have been some turns in life which had made it hard for me to focus on the show and without getting too much into it, I just wanted to spend as much time with my family as I could. It was a tough couple of weeks, but I now feel ready to continue making the best damn possible Moon Knight podcast out there!
So, this coming weekend, I'll be dropping an ISLA RA Session which I had recorded in early October. I'm only half way through editing it now, but it's a handsome sized episode and it was again, a massive amount of fun - I hope you enjoy listening to it…!
PHASE OF THE MOON: WAXING CRESCENT (due to scheduling delay, this is slightly out of sync with what we're meant to do)
ISLA RA SESSIONS - JOHN 'DOC' HARRISON FROM TV PODCAST INDUSTRIES
I've always wanted to get the boys from TV Podcast Industries on the show as I'm huge fans of theirs, and after having Chris and Derek on the show, having the chance to speak to John about his desert island books - amongst other things - had been so special and thoroughly enjoyable.
Admittedly, I've not conducted an ISLA RA session with Chris, but it could be argued that his and my almost 3 hour episode we had when he guested on two chat about Spidey, was the genesis for the ISLA RA sessions. It was a peek behind the podcasting host facade and a chat about what Chris loved about Spidey and comics. It wasn't long after that, that I decided to delve into more stories from Loonies, and voila - the ISLA RA Sessions were created!
So, there's plenty to look forward to with John's chat - as always, we conducted our chat in and around the Moon Knight corner of the universe…so this time around, we're at Gena's diner. Later on, we head out to some other locations - but I'll leave that for you to discover when you hear the episode!

FANTASY COMIC LEAGUE - OCTOBER PROGRESS
Oh boy, it's been a bit quiet on the FCL front, but we finally got the cards in for the progress this month, and I must say Tommy has returned with a vengeance!
Looks like he'll no doubt take out this month as he has an unbeatable lead it seems...I'm still in the mix, and hopefully if I can just hang in the top 2 every month, then I'm in with a good chance to take out overall.
However, Tommy and Jason are making good ground and in particular kudos to Jason for his maiden season...he's one to watch! Dustin and Chad unfortunately have drafts (like myself....c'mon Wolvie!!!!) who haven't fired...but anything goes int he last week of October, so you never know!
Below are the progress cards for our #ITKMoonKnight division for you perusal!! I think the big player this month surely has been The Thing from Contagion...plenty more points to be racked up by ol' blue eyes!
Well done Tommy - you'll be the man to beat in the coming months!!
THE COLLECTIVE NEWSAnother plug to our fellow Collective members! I'll try and make this thing a regular thing, so you fair Loonies are in the loop with all these other great podcasts out there, which we highly recommend!
As some of you know, The Collective are a band of like minded podcasters who formed a few years ago now to act as a supportive network for one another not only in promoting each others' shows, but also as a creative hive, where we bounce ideas off one another as to how to improve our shows.
We've crossed over more than once now with other shows, and I know from listening to all of them, that they are highly entertaining and fun to listen to!
I've got a few recommendations which I'll list here, and each newsletter I hope to give a shout out to the recent episodes of these great shows.....I've actually got a couple of other recommendations from a podcast which isn't a part of The Collective (but I reckon they should be!)
All further information on all the shows can be found in teh link at the bottom of this page...
Anyway, here's just a few of what's happening in Collective-Town....

Hello Dear Loonies!
This newsletter is coming waaaay late and I'll put it down to the haphazard organisation which has occurred during the week due to some personal family matters which I've had to tend to...
Before I go any further, I just want to thank all the Loonies who dropped in a kind word after I posted up that PCA in a mild panic at the beginning of the week. I'm pretty transparent so I guess there's no harm in divulging - my father (Grand Daddy Khonshu) has taken a turn health-wise and so has been in and out of hospital lately. When he was admitted towards the beginning of the week, I had that worrying, 'here we go again' feeling in my stomach, so I wanted to get things arranged and prepared so as not to have any distractions to worry about…basically allowing me to focus fully on my family. Although his overall health is not good, he's recovering from the slight infection which he succumbed to and which led him to hospital….
Anyway, long story short, he's in a stable condition and it's nothing like it being the 'ultimate worst case scenario' so I've been itching to resume the podcast….the way I see it, it at least takes my mind off the stress from a short while…
I've been fortunate to reestablish the invitation to the special guests for the show, whom I had cancelled upon earlier in the week (thinking that the episode would not go ahead)….

OVER THE MOON: COMIC ARC REVIEW
MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS VOL. 1, ISSUES #152-154
Special Guests - Moon Knight-Core, Moonmin & Bushmin!!
Bobby and Dave do absolutely AWESOME work on Facebook and their Moon Knight Fan Page is titanic to say the least! Forever grateful that they plug our wares, I can't believe it's taken this long to get them on the show, but we are here now and I can't wait to chat with them - of course reviewing our arc review, but also to have a bit of a chat with them about the Moon Knight-Core; their thoughts on the most recent Moon Knight runs in comics; as well as their thoughts on the upcoming TV show!
It should be a fun chat, and can't wait to finally chat with Bobby and Dave!
Have been experiencing some teething issues with our simulcast over the social media platforms, but will give it another go for this episode! You can join us and listen in real-time to the episode as it records and we can interact with you if you've any questions as we record!
Date: 12th October, 2019
Time: 9.00pm (AEDT)
Location: see link above..
On top of this, there is also the gracious gesture of our other High Priests Connor(shu) and Rebecca who put their hand up to do a show in my (initial) absence. I'm so sorry Connor(shu) and Rebecca for being the pest, and not staying away...but what this means is that we may possibly get two ITK episodes this weekend! I've requested that they continue their scheduled show (I always love their episodes!) so in a bout of fortune, this weekend may drop a double for you fair Loony listeners!
SPOILER DISCUSSION THREADI've already posted up a spoiler/discussion thread for the issues we'll review, so please check out Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and drop us a line if you can, to share your thoughts! We'll discuss on the show and it's always interesting to hear what other Moon Knight fans think of the comics we review...
If you DON'T want your comments broadcast, please just add, "(DNB)" at the end of your comment, and we'll be sure not to broadcast it. We'll pick a few comments from here and discuss on the show!
If you aren't really a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram person, you can always reach us on any of the other platforms below -
We love hearing from you and typically your comments generate thought provoking discussion on the show and allows us to dive deeper into the issues - don't hesitate to give it a go!
OK, this is a short newsletter, as there is not really much to add....oh!
THE COLLECTIVE NEWSA couple of shoutouts then -
As part of The Collective, I'd like to shout out the latest episode 45 of Inner Demons - A Ghost Rider Podcast...! The boys review the new Ghost Rider series by Brisson and Kubert, and it is EXCELLENT! Both the show and the comic! Check it!
Also, Episode 99 of Sons of the Dragon - An Immortal Iron Fist Podcast is out now too! They cover Contagion #1, and there's a minor crossover of sorts, as we'll eventually cover Contagion #4 which should contain Moon Knight (well, he's on the damn cover!)
Finally, The Signal of Doom Podcast Episode #134 features my esteemed co-host from the Last Sons of Krypton - A Superman Podcast, Connor McKenna as special guest and joining Dave on the Signal! Plenty of rants and saltiness levelled towards Star Wars, weekly comics, TV shows and more!
OK, that'll do me for this here newsletter. Hope to catch you around the community - be good to your family, and keep reading good comics... that's all you need to do! :)

Brian not only gives great insight into action figures, but he's also a podcaster himself and so we chat about Comics Now....as well as some other figures which Brian owns...a few of which are of the...*cough* *cough* 'other guy'...
MOON RATING (out of phases of the Moon):Brian: 🌖 - 8/10, Waxing Gibbous (Big, Beautiful, Yellow Man)
