ITK Newsletter, no. CI: MOON & STARS - MOON FILM REVIEW! YTMCU Moon Knight Part 2 Aug 14, 2019
    Show notes

    Hide-ly Ho Looner-inos!

It's another week of glorious Khonshu goodness and what do we have for you!...Wait, is that a question?...or is it a statement?...Not a good way to kick off...

ANYWAY - this week if you look up into the night sky and see the wondrous eye that is Khonshu's, you'll note that it be full and like a dish...or an orb...or a stencilled bit of blue cheese. Yes, it's a full moon which means we'll be talking about films in our segment of MOON & STARS -

PHASE OF THE MOON: FULL MOON

    MOON KNIGHT, CHAPTER 2 (YTMCU)

Joining me on this zany adventure will be two special guests, hailing all the way from the east side of the United States of America - the director, writer, actor Alex Looman, as well as one of the cast from the featured fan film, Dalton Gould.

We'll have a chat about the fan film, the experiences making it and where Alex and the gang see themselves being taken on their next project...should be a fun chat!

    DISCUSSION THREAD

I'll post up a thread on our ITK community platforms and will link Alex's fan film for you to peruse and to let us know your thoughts! Please note that the YTMCU films are fan films and are made for the love of the characters...I've got to give Alex and his crew massive respect for the hard work they put in into producing a fully blown piece of cinema...It would be great to hear what you think, but please don't be overly critical or rude in any way...

If you DON'T want your comments broadcast, please just add, "(DNB)" at the end of your comment, and we'll be sure not to broadcast it. We'll pick a few comments from here and discuss on the show!

If you aren't really a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram person, you can always reach us on any of the other platforms below -

We love hearing from you and typically your comments generate thought provoking discussion on the show and allows us to dive deeper into the issues - don't hesitate to give it a go!

THE HUNT FOR KHONSHU'S GOLDEN SCEPTRE

Further to our chat with YTMCU, we'll also have a little production of our own to tout...

Yes, it's back! I've finally finished editing Episode 4 (i.e Part Quatrieme) for our ITK Serial and look forward to dropping it into our next show!

This episode titled, 'CHAD'S HEAVENLY DELIGHTS', we take a look at The Power of Chad who has been sent off into the Othervoid yet again to see if he can track down Khonshu's Golden Sceptre. Needless to say, he doesn't find it, but he does run across some very heavenly creatures who give him some information which could crack this whole serial wide open!

If you need a refresher on the story so far, please don't hesitate to re-listen to our Parts Un, Deuxieme and Trois readily available on all podcast catchers.

As always, a little bit later (around Thursday) I'll drop the Serial episode as a stand alone podcast episode, so you can listen and re-listen...or create a playlist with all the episodes so far and listen to it in one big chunk! There's a long way to go with the story yet, but the intent is to create one full length feature which will our communities first effort at a full on story production!

    GUEST APPEARANCES

Apart from Into the Knight, I'll also be jumping around to a few other shows to spread the good word of Khonshu -

This Friday, I'll be on the Quantum Zone (YAYYYY! A dream of mine...) to chat all things Quasar with Phil, Will and Matt...We'll be looking at What If..? Vol. 2 #25 as well, and we'll also be doing a voice over reading of the comic, so it should be fun! The episode itself should drop in a couple of weeks...will let you know when it does..

As a response to Phil's ambushing of our show last week, I also managed to drop into their show impromptu-like on their Capes & Lunatics - Pennyworth Episode 3 review with little Finn... keep an eye out yet - it should drop on Thursday!

This Sunday Dave Finn and I will also be returning to talk Predator in Part 2 of the Retrospective of 20th Century Geek. The episode will drop in a couple of weeks after that, but you can still catch Part 1 on the 20th Century Geek Podcast out now...

As mentioned last week, I also make an appearance on the Signal of Doom Podcast Ep 126...it was heaps of fun, and I urge you to check it out as Dave and I throw caution to the wind and let fly!

    ITK MERCHANDISE TO SPRUCE AROUND...

Finally, don't forget our limited edition print! You can find that design and our standard ITK logo print at,

    ITK Store Front @ TeePublic

That's about it for this week! Hope you have a good rest of the week and as always...

Finally - WE HAVE A PERIMETER BREACH! WE HAVE A PERIMETER BREACH! One of the Collective hijacks the show! Who is it? What does he do? Tune in to find out!

PHASE OF THE MOON: WAXING GIBBOUS

OVER THE MOON REVIEW - TRADE / ARC

WEST COAST AVENGERS VOL. 2, ISSUES #25-30

Writer - Steve Englehart Penciler - Al Milgrom Inker - Mike Machlan Colourists - Christie Scheele, Julianna Ferriter, Paul Becton, Phil DeWalt, Bob Sharen, Gregory Wright Letterers - Tom Orzechowski, Ken Lopez, Bill Oakley Editor - Mark Gruenwald SYNOPSIS (by Rey)

Simon Williams (Wonder Man) discovers through a tussle with a possessed Abomination, that although he loves the adoration that comes with being a movie star, his heart belongs to the West Coast Avengers and fighting crime.

Meanwhile, Taurus becomes the sole survivor of the Zodiac cartel when Jake Fury (masquerading as Scorpio within the group) reveals himself and sets his own team of LMD Zodiacs upon them. Jake reveals that he too is an LMD, and his band of Zodiacs kill all but Taurus, who manages to flee.

Taurus approaches the West Coast Avengers, asking for their help to put a stop to Jake Fury and his LMD Zodiac squad. Elsewhere, Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird, laments not having told Hawkeye the entire truth about her final confrontation with the Phantom Rider and his seemingly innocent fate.

The Avengers tussle with the Zodiac at a cattle breeding auction of all places, but are ultimately unsuccessful in capturing them. A short while after, Hawkeye is ambushed by the 12 members and he's abducted and replaced by an LMD version, unbeknownst to his teammates.

Reconvening with the West Coast Avengers, Taurus predicts the Zodiac are to strike a mint much to suspicion of Moon Knight. The White Knight does not entirely trust Taurus but entertains Taurus' insistence that his assistance with the West Coast Avengers is entirely altruistic.

Moon Knight shares a kiss with Tigra, whilst Mockingbird finally confronts (the LMD) Hawkeye about the truth with Phantom Rider. She soon discovers that he isn't really Hawkeye and with the help of Tigra, they dispose of the android mole. A reveal shows that Tigra, too, is also an LMD - being a SECOND mole planted by the Zodiac to infiltrate the Avengers compound.

The Avengers catch up with the Zodiac at the Denver Mint and another battle ensues. The Zodiac are able to escape to Death Valley via the Zodiac Key and Iron Man reveals his knowledge of the Zodiac Key. It essentially thrives on conflict, so when the realm from which it originated no longer satiated it's needs, it was transported to Earth in search of conflict and sustenance.

Moon Knight's knowledge of astrology is used to confirm that Taurus' next prediction of where the Zodiac will be, is correct, and with his suspicions eased somewhat the West Coast Avengers head to Death Valley and find what they are looking for - the Zodiac!

Tigra reveals herself as an LMD, but the Zodiac and Jae Fury are defeated, only for them all to be resurrected by the Zodiac Key itself.

They are all teleported away to the Realm of the Brotherhood, whilst Taurus uses the opportunity to escape.

The Zodiac are all incapacitated as there is no Zodiacal energy in the Realm of the Brotherhood, but the Avengers find the real Hawkeye and Tigra and are reunited. They encounter the Brotherhood who wish not to fight them, lest they lose an opportunity to feed off conflict which may occur on Earth. So they return the West Coast Avengers back home, with the warning that they will send the key over to Earth again when they least expect it, to feed off the conflict which the Avengers or others may generate in the years to come. They are brought back, and having discovered Taurus' escape, Moon Knight vows to track him down!

The chase is on, and after a brief encounter with the Shroud, Taurus flees an ever encroaching Moon Knight. Their fight sees them high in the sky as Taurus tries to fly away on a hijacked plane, but he meets his death as the aircraft plummets out of control whilst a falling Moon Knight is saved by Iron man. Hawkeye is livid at the Fist of Khonshu for having not worked as a team, and for the apparent cold blooded murder of Taurus.

Finally, after a bit of respite, Simon Williams is abducted by a race of aliens, the SLIGS, who want to analyse Earthly specimens before proposing the invade the planet.

The West Coast Avengers come to Simon's rescue but all are transported to another realm where they are each in turn tested by The Examiner.

The Avengers manage to ultimately defeat the aliens and return home. The Sligs manage to send their data to their Supreme One and a Composite Avenger (or artist's impression) is collated - giving enough reason for the SLigs to call off their plans to invade a planet with clearly formidable inhabitants.

ITK Newsletter, no. C: OVER THE MOON TRADE/ARC REVIEW! - West Coast Avengers Vol.2, issues #25-30 Aug 07, 2019
    Show notes

    Hey-Yohhhhhhhhhh!

Howdy, Loony readers - welcome to this week's ITK newsletter coming straight at you from the House of Khonshu!

It's been a pretty busy week, and there doesn't seem to be any respite soon (which is a good thing!!...keeps me off the streets!).

This coming episode, we are doing an OVER THE MOON Trade/Arc review and thanks to the responses from the Loonies over at our ITK Facebook group, we've decided to tackle more of the old-school classic comics of the West Coast Avengers...that team that ol' Moony had been affiliated with for so long...

PHASE OF THE MOON: WAXING GIBBOUS

WEST COAST AVENGERS VOL.2, ISSUES #25-30

I'll be joined by special guest co-host, Josh 'Geronimo' Johnson - for those who have listened to our podcast for a while, you'd know that Josh is no stranger behind the mic, and in actual fact one of his more recent jaunts on the show was to review another Trade/Arc review with myself and Dustin 'Cold Case' Kurtz which kinda immediately preceded these West Coast Avengers issues...!

I've just started reading them in prep for the show, and it makes for great old-school reading...totally suggest you go out and find a copy (whether it be in trade, floppy or digital form) and read up on these issues before the show!

    DISCUSSION THREAD

Alongside this newsletter I'll post up a discussion thread on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, so you can let us know your thoughts on the arc, and if you found (much like myself) the cover to issue #30 absolutely hilarious!

    • Email: itkmoonknight@gmail.com
    • Podcast Page: http://intotheknight.libsyn.com
    • Facebook Page: Into the Knight - A Moon Knight Podcast
    • Facebook Group: Into the Knight - A Moon Knight Fan Base
    • Twitter: @ITKmoonknight
    • Discord ITK Server: ITK Server

We love hearing from you and typically your comments generate thought provoking discussion on the show and allows us to dive deeper into the issues - don't hesitate to give it a go!

THE HUNT FOR KHONSHU'S GOLDEN SCEPTRE

With not so much as a peep heard since our monumental Episode 100 (Loony-palooza!) you're probably wondering what happened to our serial.

Fear not, avid listeners! The serial is alive and well, and is a slow burn as writing and organising audio ...then post-production is a slow process. In any case, I've written episodes Quatrieme, Cinquieme and Sixieme and I can tell you that I've got all the material for episodes IV and V, so it won't be long before you can hear the next chapter.

If you need a refresher, please don't hesitate to re-listen to our Parts Un, Deuxieme and Trois readily available on all podcast catchers.

The voice actors on the episodes are fantastic and I'm so grateful that they have given their time to record for the show.

My eventual intent is to combine all the Parts together once this arc is finished (I'm projecting about 12-15 parts) and I'll make it a proper audio full-length play. As to what I'll do with it, I'm not sure - it'll be uploaded and displayed on our website and depending on how much traction I can get, I may keep doing them...they're fun!

FANTASY COMIC LEAGUE (FCL) - #ITKMOONKNIGHT, FINAL LEG

In other news, the mid-year season of the FCL is coming to a close, and things in the #ITKMoonKnight division is reaching a head! Very exciting stuff as Tommy 'The Man on the Street' takes out the month of July. Below you can see the score cards with how each of the players fared -

TOMMY 'THE MAN ON THE STREET'

    DUSTIN 'COLD CASE' KURTZ

    HIGH PRIEST OF KHONSHU, REY

    HIGH PRIEST OF KHONSHU, CONNORSHU

    'THE POWER OF' CHAD

So with Connor taking out May, Rey claiming June and now Tommy wrapping up July, there is only one month to go before the final results are known. Since Tommy has consistently been hovering up around second place, and as he won ended up on top in July, it puts Tommy in front in overall standings for the season:

The Man on the Street - 7 points Both High Priests of Khonshu - 5 points each Cold Case - 4 points The Power of Chad - 0 points

It is still not a foregone conclusion, as potentially if Connor or Rey take out first place in August, and Tommy somehow ends up last this month, then the High Priests would claim victory. As it stands, Tommy is in pole position and sitting pretty and anything other than last place this month should secure him a win, giving him coveted bragging rights as well as a free trade of his choice, as supplied by FCL....fun, fun stuff!

If you've been curious about this fantasy league and are considering joining, don't hesitate to contact ITK, and we'll see if we can get another division up and running for next season!

Any further info, please don't hesitate to check out the Fantasy Comic League website, and to learn more tune in to our recent bonus episode where I had a chat with Brian Bradley, the organiser.

MAD-BALL INSPIRED AUGUST LIMITED EDITION DESIGN

On the merchandise front, our store front is still up and running and to keep things fresh, we rotate designs every month or so, giving you the Loonies out there a chance to nab yourself some sweet ITK-wear!

This month of August, our good mate and all-round nice guy Wayne Hunt has designed a very funky Madball-esque Moony design for clothing AND now mugs!

Make sure not to miss out on this limited edition print! You can find that design and our standard ITK logo print at,

    ITK Store Front @ TeePublic

    GUEST APPEARANCES

Finally, before I go, just wanted to give you a rundown of what lies ahead for ol' faithful here and where you can expect to hear my Aussie twang -

This Friday I'll be making another guest appearance on The Signal of Doom with my fellow Collective member, David Finn. Should be a cracker of a show and although this time I may not be able to visit him at the Swamp, we'll still be having a good yarn about all pop culture news and we'll review a handful of this week's select comics as well as a rounded review of Dave's trade of the week, The Massive. I was pleasantly surprised by this series written by Brian Wood, and needless to say you'll have to tune in the hear our thoughts on it!

This weekend I'll also be recording an early Last Sons of Krypton Podcast with my co-host Connor-El and a special guest Orion - host to We are Venomaniacs and recent addition to The Collective! We'll be looking at DC Comics Presents...#29 which features Superman and The Spectre! I've always been curious about DC's Ghost Rider (i.e the Spirit of Vengeance) so it'll be fun to chat with Connor and Orion, who will be our Spectre expert on the show!

OK, I better wrap this up so I can send this off to the press! Thanks for reading and hope you are still enjoying ITK - it's a show I love doing and I love creating for... I've got plenty of crazy ideas in this head of mine, so if you are willing to invest your time, I'll be sure to make it one helluva ride!

    Show notes

    EPISODE 107:

Rey returns to the Bendis books to review with a more analytical eye, the third issue of BMB's very polarising run.

It's another solo show with Rey clearly affected by the Moon and the gravitational changes...

We/I also announce the winner of our ITK T-Shirt giveaway to celebrate our ITK community reaching over 1000 members! Did you win? You'll need to tune in!

PHASE OF THE MOON: WAXING CRESCENT

    LUNAR-PICK REVIEW - MODERN RUN

MOON KNIGHT VOL. 6, ISSUE #3 - PART 3: 'IST STORY'

Writer - Brian Michael Bendis Penciler - Alex Maleev Inker - Alex Maleev Colourist - Matthew Wilson Letterer - Cory Petit Editor - Tom Brevoort SYNOPSIS (courtesy of Wiki)

The next morning, Marc is driving down PCH heading to work while he calls Maya on her teleprompter phone; he apologies for blowing her cover but wants to hopefully devise a strategy with her over dinner at Pink's Hot Dogs at 9pm. She is cautious in potentially being involved with Marc but he leaves the offer on the table; they hang up. At the studio lot, Marc carries a box from his car to inside the building. While his assistant is trying to nail down the casting for the ethnicity of "Frenchie", we see that the Spider-Man suit Marc used was borrowed from a nearby production. In the production office, Marc meets with the show's military consultant, Buck Lime, and opens the box; it is the Ultron head and he wants Buck to crack it.

In a flashback a few months ago, Marc is reviewing dailies with his assistant when she mentions the pulled candidates for the show's military consultant. Marc ignores all of the studio selects and finds an interesting resume in the pile: Buck's. The two arrange a meeting and Marc instantly knows that Buck was a former SHIELD agent even though this was not listed. Marc is forward in wanting Buck to work days with the show and moonlight as Moon Knight's support. Buck agrees and is hired. That evening, Bullseye breaks into Buck's apartment and kidnaps him. Tied to a chair, Bullseye roughs Buck up but it is finally revealed that this is really Marc; he wanted to see if Buck would ever break but he passed. Once freed, Buck gets even and questions how crazy is really Marc.

In present time, Buck is looking to crack the Ultron head but he wants to notify the Avengers first. Marc promises to do so once Buck can track down the LA Kingpin using the head. Meanwhile, Snapdragon has assembled her team known as the Night Shift.

ITK Newsletter, no. XCIX: LUNAR-PICK MODERN COMIC REVIEW! - Moon Knight Vol. 6, issue #3 Aug 01, 2019
    Show notes

    Hello Loonies!

Another newsletter is thrust upon you and I am hoping you catch it with both hands!

After an action packed previous week (I recorded a guest spot on another podcast, as well as releasing two episodes last week for ITK), it's time to settle things down and resume our usual groove. This coming weekend, Connorshu and I will be tackling a continuation of the Modern Run reviews which fall on every waxing crescent...

PHASE OF THE MOON: WAXING CRESCENT

MOON KNIGHT VOL. 6, ISSUE #3

'PART 3 OF 1ST STORY' BY BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS & ALEX MALEEV

Yep, we'll be looking at Bendis' run again, and to be completely honest with you - doing a re-read of this isn't half bad! I know there's alot of heat from Loonies of this run, but kinda knowing that it's so different and flies int eh face of Moon Knight canon, makes this re-read alter my expectations and enjoy it for what it is...

We've also received some feedback from Loonies on our iTunes rating and reviews (which we are eternally grateful) and there has been a call for a more in-depth analyses of these books rather than just touching the surface, so to speak.

We here at ITK pride ourselves with listening to the Loonies out there, but would also like to make our podcast accessible to all Loonies from all walks of life and from all levels of experience. You may be a seasoned long-time MK fan, or just new to the game -either end of the spectrum, we hope to accommodate on our podcast!

So look out for our slight tweak to our comic review in this upcoming episode. We'll aim to add a bit more framework to the main points and hopefully it can add some value to some long-time MK fans listening out there. Much of our podcast is based on just two friends chatting about what they love and looking at Moon Knight through their eyes and what we love about him - so we'll keep our brand of banter going but at the same time, will try and add more depth where we can...

By the same token, we always do encourage Loonies to get their thoughts in on the show and the books that are reviewed. So if you'd like to weigh in and highlight themes or characterisations from a comic book that we review, why not get it down on ink (or digital word) and shoot it over to us! We always like to bounce off your thoughts as well! Below are the many ways you can reach us... let's keep this an open dialogue - Connorshu and I are just the vessels...the true knowledge comes from the collective minds of all the Loonies out there!

    ITK Newsletter, no. XCVIII: LUNAR-PICK NEW COMIC REVIEW! - Arach-Knight Annual #1 (2019) Jul 24, 2019
    Show notes

    Hello Loony Readers!

Welcome back to our humble newsletter and again the gods have thrown a curve ball our way!

Contrary to what you may have heard on the last episode of the podcast, it has come to my attention that there is actually a CURRENT and NEW book of Moon Knight which we must review....

PHASE OF THE MOON: WANING CRESCENT

SECRET WARPS: ARACH-KNIGHT ANNUAL VOL. 1, ISSUE #1

'SUPREMEUNIVERSAL' BY AL EWING & CARLOS GOMEZ

Well, OK - it's not the genuine, bonafide Moon Knight you all know and love, but the amalgam of Spider-man and Moon Knight who we previous saw and reviewed during the Infinity Warps event.

This episode should also showcase the return of High Priest of Khonshu, Connorshu! Having been at war with the Gremlins for technical dominance (of which at one point, Connor's equipment had been decimated), Connorshu makes a timely return to review the latest and greatest of Moon Knight...!

It'll be a catch up of sorts, then a pin point accurate, clinical and highly professional review of the annual due for release on the day that I type this!

FANTASY COMIC LEAGUE SPEAK! SPECIAL GUEST, BRIAN BRADLEY FROM FANTASY COMIC LEAGUE

Alongside our comic book review, we'll also have a small segment and a special guest in Brian - host and producer of the Fantasy Comic League. As some of you know, we here at ITK have our own sanctioned division ( the #ITKMoonKnight 2019 Division) and we'll have Brian on the show to chat about our progress and how we think we'll end up at the end of the month! We'll also look at what this then means for the last month of the season, and maybe we can tease out some hints from Brian as to how we can make one final Fist of Khonshu push for dominance!

COMPETITION TIME AGAIN - HURTLING TOWARDS 1K!

Yes! We are looking at conducting another competition for you dear Loonies! Don't know if you've seen, but we are fast hurtling towards 1000 members in our FB Group - crazy, huh?? I'm absolutely stoked at this, and so want to give you, the Loony readers and listeners a chance to win something.

I reckon it will be a prize of an ITK shirt of your very own - just how we swing this competition, I've yet to finalise the details. Am thinking of somehow incorporating it towards making it an incentive to invite your friends to the group, in order for us to pass the 1K mark...the ITK Brains Trust have come up with a few ideas, so stay tuned on the upcoming episode to hear how you can win an ITK shirt for your very own!

    MERCENARY MERCHANDISE

And speaking of ITK shirts, a plug again for our new Store Front where you can also buy some ITK merchandise...please consider and show off your purchase in our ITK Community! -

    ITK Store Front @ TeePublic

    DISCUSSION THREAD

Finally, make sure to have a good read of the annual and let us know your thoughts on the issue! I'll post up a thread on the FB Page, Group and on Twitter....and Instagram - so we'd love to hear from you and will discuss your thoughts (good or bad!) on the show -

    • Email: itkmoonknight@gmail.com
    • Podcast Page: http://intotheknight.libsyn.com
    • Facebook Page: Into the Knight - A Moon Knight Podcast
    • Facebook Group: Into the Knight - A Moon Knight Fan Base
    • Twitter: @ITKmoonknight
    • Discord ITK Server: ITK Server

I'm in the middle of reading Parts 1-3 of the Secret warps annuals, and let me tell you it has been pleasantly entertaining and better than I thought. Would love to know how you see this event going (Loony Phil even mentioned that it's almost like an 'Acts of Evil' or 'Acts of Vengeance' within this Warps Multiverse itself...) and how you find Arach-Knight depicted...are you a fan of Spidey as well?...want more of the Moony intensity shown in Arach-Knight? Let us know!

That's it for this here newsletter - big thanks again for all the Loonies who have either joined the FB Group and Page, who listen to the show - or who are part of both! Although there was a little disappointment with not hearing any Moon Knight news at the San Diego Comic Con this year, it's still great that there are so many fas of the comic out there and that we are all vocal and supporting each other - let's keep at it and keep the Moon Knight fire burning!!

Episode 105 - ISLA RA SESSIONS: A Smiling Robert Smith...? Jul 21, 2019
    Show notes

    EPISODE 105:

FEATURING TOP 4 BOOKS BY KNOL 'LOONY TUNES' TATE!

The ISLA RA Sessions have returned post-century episode, and Grant Mansion is again open to Loony guests!

Joining High Priest of Khonshu Rey is the return of Knol (now newly dubbed) 'Loony Tunes' Tate to talk about his experience with entering the magical realm that is comic books and how as a young man, he experienced his LCS, Moon Knight, the classic runs and more...!

Having had Knol on a SPOTLIGHT episode previously to chat about his music, it was highly enjoyable recounting with Knol some comic book titles of the 80's and 90's as well as learning more about some lesser known works which have made Knol's honourable mentions list.

As is staple, Rey asks Knol how he got into comics, in particular Moon Knight - and the two bounce around locations and harass Samuels for a beverage and a snack - as is the norm on our ISLA RA episodes!

This episode was so enlightening - if you are up for recommendations for some reading material, I highly suggest you tune in and enjoy!

KNOL'S TOP 4 ISLA RA BOOKS:

    1. Knol's Top Pick
    2. Knol's 2nd Pick
    3. Knol's 3rd Pick

ITK Newsletter, no. XCVII: ISLA RA SESSIONS - Featuring Guest Loony, Knol Tate Jul 18, 2019
    Show notes

    LOONIES, HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE!

It's our weekly newsletter coming to you a little late, due to the fact that the previous episode got released a little late also...BUT, hoping to get back on track to keep all you Loonies in on the loop with what is going down in Moon Town!

And this upcoming episode, I'm as giddy as Crawley with a tea bag..! We've got another ISLA RA sessions heading your way, and we also will be following the phases of the moon for this one -

PHASE OF THE MOON: WANING GIBBOUS

ISLA RA SESSIONS - KNOL 'LOONY TUNE' TATE

Knol has been on the show before, but last time it was all about his music (which you can listen to in Episode 92 - SPOTLIGHT: Deleter, The Music of ITK... )...this time around, I'll be chatting with Knol to tease out the comics which have made him the man he is today! Let me tell you, you'll be VERY pleased with his selection, and surprised I'm sure with at least one of them...

What I love about this is that it's a great opportunity to be exposed to comics I normally wouldn't be exposed to, and it's a fun journey to go through, and then to talk with those who cherish these desert island issues!

So as per usual, I'll be asking Knol about how he got into comics; how he got into Moon Knight; his passion for art and poetry; as well as to talk about a few of his honourable mentions which didn't make it onto the top 4...

Below you'll see our standard format too - I'll leave it to you to decide how you want to tackle it (it's like a "Choose Your Own Adventure!")

Knol's Top 4 Isla Ra (Desert Island) Comics: ???

As always, we aren't giving anything away! Below you'll find encrypted links to Knol's books. These will be in the show nots as well, but if you want to prepare for the show and discover what books Knol has chosen - and read them ahead of our discussion - then look no further than below -

KNOL'S TOP 4 ISLA RA BOOKS:

    1. Knol's Top Pick
    2. Knol's 2nd Pick
    3. Knol's 3rd Pick
    4. Knol's 4th Pick

(note: I'm not entirely sure of the order for Knol's books as we've not discussed it yet, so the order of these books is subject to change!)

ITK MERCHANDISE - BUY YOURS TODAY!

OK, so I've gone ahead and partnered up with TeePublic to bring you some official ITK merchandise. So excited that one Loony at least has already made good on these limited runs of clothes and mugs...be sure to get yours if you haven't already...I'm eyeing that Capes and Lunatics one....

You can grab stuff from our store here...

    GUEST CO-HOSTING ON THE COLLECTIVE

I've also been making the rounds as well with podcasts...yep, I'm back in force baby, and have racked up some future guests for our won show, but I've also been busy getting out there spreading the Moon Knight word!

You can catch me on the latest (Episode 122) Signal of Doom Podcast episode alongside Dave Finn! I had a great time, and it's actually the first time I've been in the same room with a co-host, so it made the dynamic totally different! I must thank Dave and Michelle for all their hospitality and for meeting Wade the Cat and Cooper the Dog... Dave and Michelle are so generous and hospitable...made recording so fun and easy!

Apart from our ISLA RA coming up, this weekend I'll also be on the Capes and Lunatics Podcast alongside Phil, Charlie and Lilith...it's San Diego Comic Con Weekend so we'll have much to talk about and there'll be discussion on current comics released as well as TV and movie news. Much of it I imagine will be intrinsically tied to the SDCC this weekend...should be heaps of fun, and I already had a great time with Phil on the ITK show where we did a crossover with his Ultimate Spider-Cast ( Episode 103 - Spider-man + Moon Knight Crossover Part 2 ) so it should be a great time again in their backyard!

I'll also be recording tonight another episode for my other podcast which I do alongside Connor McKenna from Sons of the Dragon: An Immotral Iron Fist Podcast, which some of you will know - Last Sons of Krypton - A Superman Podcast. We'll review a comic form the 1980's written by Len Wein and with the Man of Steel in space...I really enjoyed the issue, so will be fun to dissect!

All this keeps me off the streets...so busy, busy...but it's heaps of fun! (who needs sleep! )

Upcoming collaborations included are with 20th Century Geek, Epic Marvel Podcast, and We Are Venomaniacs!...Stay tuned!

    CONTACT US!

That pretty much wraps it up for this week and this here newsletter - hope you've been enjoying the podcast recently...it's been a bit bumpy but hopefully we'll be right on track and have some consistency int he weeks to come!

We absolutely LOVE to hear from you, and will always address and give you shout outs on the show, so please don't hesitate to drop us a line!

We've got various social media outlets and we use these to read Loony comments on the show - if you DON'T want your comments broadcast, please just add, "(DNB)" at the end of your comment, and we'll be sure not to broadcast it. We'll pick a few comments from here and discuss on the show!
