    Priscilla Tallman is a mental performance coach who trains athletes to have a healthy relationship with their sport, their teammates, and themselves. She played collegiate volleyball for the University of Georgia and went on to play for the USA National team and was a member of the World University Games team. She uses both her experience as a player and her education in clinical psychology to help athletes with their mental performance.

    She has a really cool 30-day Champion’s Journal and Return to Play Journal. She also provides performance and mindset coaching to youth, club, and collegiate athletes. She has also been a coach of various levels for many years.

    Jenny Hitchings broke an age group world record at 59 years old at the London Marathon this year running 2:45:27 which is a world record for the 55-59 age group. She placed 25th for women in a crowd of 48,000 runners.

    Jenny lives in Sacramento where she is a running coach and a middle school cross country coach. She has several age group American records. She runs for Rabbit.

    In this episode, we talk about running to your fullest potential regardless of your age and how she stays strong and confident. I love hearing how she is chasing her dreams!

    Courtney Dauwalter is on the podcast today for the third time! She is just coming off of winning Western States and crushed the course record by 78 minutes! This is her second win at Western States. She has also won the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc in 2019 and 2021, which is seen as the most competitive ultramarathon in the world.

    Courtney is gearing up to run the Hardrock 100 just 3 weeks after her Western States race.

    Courtney is such a fun interview and I loved catching up with her! She loves running and has so much fun with it and I love what she shares about that in this episode!

    Kara Winger is on the show today! Kara is a four-time Olympian and a World Championships Silver Medalist. She is a former American Record Holder and Diamond League Champion. She has accomplished all of this while throwing the Javelin.

    I loved hearing from Kara about winning her first global medal last year.

    Kara is now retired from track and field and is working for Parity Now, a company working to change the game for women athletes through powerfully inclusive and equitable brand partnerships. She tells us all about that work as well in this episode!

    Episode 469: Grace Norman – Paralympic Gold Medalist and 3x World Champion Jun 23, 2023

    Grace Norman is a three-time World Triathlon para champion in 2016, 2017, and 2022. She is a 2020 Tokyo Paralympic silver medalist, a 2016 Rio Paralympic Gold Medalist, an 8-time World paratriathlon Championships Medalist (3 golds, 2 silvers, and 2 bronze). She is a two-time USA Paratriathlon National Champion and a 13-time World Paratriathlon event medalist.

    Grace was born with congenital constriction band syndrome in her left leg at birth which resulted in the amputation of her left leg and right big toe below the knee when she was young.

    She competed in track and field and cross country in high school where she became the first female amputee to finish on the podium at a high school track and field state championships. In this episode, she shares about when she discovered the Paralympics and when she started dipping her toes in paratriathlon.

    Episode 467: Sage Hurta-Klecker – 1:57.85 800m Runner on Breakthrough Seasons and Training with On Athletics Club Jun 09, 2023

    Sage Hurta-Klecker runs for the On Athletics Club and is an 800m and 1500m specialist. She had a breakout year in the 800m last year, breaking 2 minutes for the first time and then continuing to do it over and over again. She went to the University of Colorado where she was an indoor NCAA mile national champion. She was a PAC-12 Champion in the 800m and an All-American.

    In this episode, we talk about her time at the University of Colorado and I ask her about her experiences there and what that time in her life was like.

    It has been so much fun to see her have some big breakthroughs in her professional running career so far!!

    After we recorded this episode, she was one of the pacers for Faith Kipyegon in the 1500m World Record race!

    I am so excited to see what Sage has ahead for her in her professional running career!

    Dani Moreno is on the podcast today! She is a sub-ultra trail runner. She is a four-time Team USA member, a two-time Xterra world trail champ, and a USA Sky Running Classic champion. She placed third at OCC, she was the first American to podium there. She was the fifth woman at the Golden Trail World Series in 2021.

    She is from LA and went to the University of Santa Barbara. She walked away from running for a bit after college and then found her way right back to her love of running. She tells us how she found her way to trail running in this episode.

    Dani is so adventurous. From skydiving to motorcycling to exploring mountains, anything that you can think of that is adrenaline-seeking, she has probably done it!

    Recently, Dani debuted her road marathon at the Boston Marathon and came close to running the Olympic Trials qualifier, which was her goal.

    Peter Bromka was on the show a few years ago with Esther Atkins talking about the Olympic Marathon Trials.

    Today was his first time on the show for a solo episode! It’s been a long time coming!

    Peter is super fast runner – he is a 2:19 marathoner. A few years ago he was trying really hard to qualify for the Olympic Trials and came seconds from qualifying on multiple attempts. He wrote really honestly and raw about those experiences. We talk about that year in this episode.

    Peter lives in Portland and is a writer. He just ran the Boston Marathon. He is a master’s runner now. In this episode, we talk about his goals, reaching his fullest potential, his feelings around trying to qualify for the Olympic Trials, and so much more!!

    Steph Bruce runs for Hoka NAZ Elite. She is the mom of two and having her third baby here in a few months! She is a three-time US Champion. She has worn her heart on her sleeve sharing her journey in the professional running world!

    Ben Rosario is the founder of NAZ Elite and recently transitioned out of his head coaching role to the executive director. They brought Alan Culpepper on as the head coach so Ben can focus more on the business side of NAZ Elite.

    Ben and Steph wrote a book called Follow Your Heart. Last year, Steph announced that she was retiring so Ben documented the past year in this book. You get a deep dive into her training and racing. Steph has since announced that she will continue to race and train as a professional.
