Today I want to answer the question, “is coffee okay for a fatty liver?”

Coffee actually has a lot of phytonutrients that are beneficial to the liver. So, it’s not a bad thing for a fatty liver. But what is bad is non-organic coffee.

Non-organic coffee is filled with chemicals you don’t want, like pesticides. These chemicals are very oxidizing, which increases inflammation. The liver is all about detoxifying, so you don’t want to add those bad chemicals back in.

The fatty liver is one factor of metabolic syndrome. Some symptoms of metabolic syndrome are:

    • High triglycerides

    • Low HDL

    • Central obesity

    • High blood pressure

    • High blood sugar

But, if you add a fatty liver to the mix, all of these are also symptoms of high insulin.

The liver is a really important organ in detoxification, so don’t start putting those bad chemicals back in there. Drink organic coffee, and try to limit yourself to one small cup of organic coffee in the mornings.

Why People Shrink With Age and How to Prevent It? Nov 10, 2019

As you age, you might be wondering, “why is my height shrinking.” Well, let’s talk about it. We’re going to cover the cause of shrinking with age, how to prevent shrinking with age, and a few height loss solutions.

A few points on height loss to think about: • Women shrink more than men. • A person could potentially lose ¼-½ inch every ten years after age 40. • You need to act now. Don’t wait until you’ve lost a few inches—it’s already too late at that point.

Why am I shrinking as I get older? — It’s a loss of disk space between the vertebrae and a loss of the vertebrae itself.

A big myth is that people think they can grow bone by drinking more milk. I haven’t found any credible studies on this.

The problem with calcium, especially calcium carbonate, is that it may increase the risk of heart attacks in postmenopausal women. What most people don’t understand about minerals is that we’re only talking about one small piece of the puzzle.

How to maximize growth hormone and help prevent shrinking with age: • Keep your insulin low (healthy keto) • Get more sleep and less stress • Exercise • Take vitamin D • Do intermittent fasting

In this podcast, I want to answer another question I received. Can intermittent fasting alter your nutrient requirements? We’re going to go over the different concepts that go into this topic.

When you do intermittent fasting, fasting, or prolonged fasting, you’re living off of your reserves. I recommend taking nutrients during your fast because you don’t know if you’re deficient.

There isn’t a simple answer to this question. There are so many variables involved when it comes to this, such as: • Poor soil • Nutrient density • History of bad eating • Low stomach acid • Low bile • Medication • Stress • Grain • GI issues • Polymorphism • Keto (on keto you need more sodium, B2, and potassium)

In this podcast, we’re going to talk about dairy and your menstrual cycle. We’re going to cover why dairy is one of the foods to avoid while on your menstrual cycle, and what to choose while on your period instead.

Dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt can potentially create a big problem with the menstrual cycle.

The main problem with having dairy while on your period is the massive amount of estrogen you’re taking by consuming dairy products. Most of us already have too much estrogen. Even a lot of different pesticides mimic estrogen. If you already have too much estrogen, and then you’re consuming a product with hormones, it could create some issues.

If you’re having problems with hormones, you may want to try avoiding dairy for a while to see if that’s the culprit.

If Sugar is so Bad, then Why is Fruit so Healthy? Nov 10, 2019

Someone was asking the question, “If sugar is so bad, why is fruit so healthy?” There are a few things you really need to understand concerning this topic.

First off, are fruits healthy? I never actually said that fruit is so healthy. Having certain fruits on keto is not a great idea. In fact, fruits are not a part of a healthy keto plan.

The fruits we consume now are hybrids. They have been created over the years to be sweeter and sweeter. For example, a honeycrisp apple has 19g of sugar.

Fruits should be seasonal. Consuming them all year round is not natural.

Another thing to realize is that whole fruit and fruit juice are not the same. Fruit juice is basically pure sugar, where fruits do have certain nutrients.

In this podcast I want to talk about a question I received concerning gallstones and cholesterol. Do gallstones come from high cholesterol?

True: Gallstones are made from cholesterol.

True: You must, at the same time, be bile deficient.

In order to form a gallstone, you have to have this supersaturation of cholesterol. Bile helps keep cholesterol broken up into small particles. Without bile, a gallstone can form.

Once you know what causes a decrease in bile, you will also know how to get rid of your gallstones or even prevent them.

In this podcast, we’re going to talk a little bit about sulfur. What is sulfur? What health benefits does sulfur have? What keto foods are high in sulfur?

Detox is one of the main uses of sulfur.

Sulfur and detoxification: Sulfur is the most important element in detoxification. In the liver, you have various enzymes that turn poisons and toxins into harmless particles. A lot of these enzymes are sulfur-based. You need sulfur to make these enzymes work.

A few more sulfur benefits besides sulfur for detox are:

    • Sulfur is involved in three very important amino acids that are cofactors to help make one of the most important antioxidants in the body.

    • Sulfur is involved in two vitamins: biotin and thiamine.

Foods high in sulfur: • Cruciferous vegetables • Asparagus • Garlic • Onion • Eggs • Fish • Cheese

In this podcast, I want to answer a question I received regarding shellfish. Is it ok to consume shellfish even though they may contain heavy metals?

A few really good things about shellfish like shrimp, lobster, and crab are: • They’re loaded with minerals and trace minerals. • They’re high in omega-3 fatty acids. • They’re high-quality sources of protein. • They contain selenium which helps to detox mercury and other heavy metals.

However, shellfish also contain heavy metals like mercury and even lead. For this reason, you should: • Not consume them that often (maybe 1x per week). • Not consume them at all if you’re pregnant. • Get your trace minerals from organic sea kelp harvested from a very healthy part of the world. • Choose wild-caught instead of farm-raised.

A few of the worst fish to eat because of heavy metals, specifically mercury contamination, are: • Shark • King mackerel • Swordfish
