    56 - 3 Reasons You'll Want to Start Somatic Work May 04, 2021
    Show notes

After last week's amazing episodes with Jenn Kautsch, I want to take a moment to talk about somatic work. I know it seems like a tough topic after the recent gut punch you may have experienced with uncomfortable episodes, but I promise that it is a really light discussion. A light episode on a hard topic. Today isn't about how to process trauma; it's about why you deserve to move through it.

Remember that in this Be You Collective, we are excavating our true selves. These uncomfortable topics are part of it, but let's take it one step at a time and start with why. You won't find somatic work in talk therapy or many coaching programs out there, but until I started doing this work, I was going nowhere. This work changed my life and is one of the reasons I've been motivated to share it with you.

55 - Jenn Kautsch: The Exciting Freedom That Sober Minded Living Can Bring Apr 29, 2021
    Show notes

Welcoming back Jenn Kautsch for another amazing episode, we dive into what you can do about your relationship with alcohol. If you have not listened to episode 154, take a moment to do so because learning Jenn's story was eye-opening and I know that there are millions of women who are living the life Jenn used to lead.

Sober Sis founder, Jenn Kautsch, is a pioneer in this movement of sober-minded living. This is about making a conscious choice to be the best version of yourself, to live in an intentional manner creating the life you want. And sometimes that means living alcohol-free. Jenn recognized that alcohol was causing some inner turmoil, it was taking up too much 'space' in her life, and she embarked on this amazing journey to create Sober Sis. Sober Sis is a tribe of women who are gray-area drinkers. No labels, no all-or-nothing mentality, no horror stories of DUIs and jail stints, but women who feel as though drinking is a bit more prominent in their lives than they want it to be. Sober Sis is the place to find love, acceptance, and support when you don't fit the stereotypes, but want to make a change.

In today's episode, Jenn shares how to become a Sober Sis and what that means. Her passion and dedication to her cause has helped countless women look more closely at their relationship with alcohol, get the support they need that far exceeds the 21 day reset, and create lasting friendships with like-minded women.

When seeing the glow of a friend I ran into, I was connected with someone who is changing the lives of so many women. In this episode, Jenn Kautsch joins me and it is a real gift. But know that some gifts come in the form of triggers, challenges, and discomfort. Today we are talking about a sensitive topic: the gray area of drinking alcohol. It's not really a problem. Or is it? There's so much to learn and I am so excited to have Jenn on the show today.

    52 - Head Trash Encore Apr 20, 2021
    Show notes

As we grow and evolve, it is crucial to revisit some topics. These topics may look different for each person, but what I know to be true is that we all deal with head trash. That's why I've decided to post episode 103 here as an encore episode, but with a little twist. What I have discovered is that through this journey, I've learned even more about this topic of head trash and listening to this episode again has brand new meaning. "Head Trash" is the most downloaded episode to date and it surprised me as it is a pretty heavy and "heady" discussion. But what that has shown me is that this topic has to be revisited. It is so easy to get lost in those negative thoughts, so let's revisit the head trash and work on our mindset together.

The little voice. The inner roommate. Negative Nancy. Head Trash. Whatever you call it, we all have it. Whether or not it is dominating our lives, is up to us. Wouldn't it be great if we could just kick this voice to curb? Of course! Is it that easy? Absolutely not. Most of the time, we don't even know these negative thoughts are in control.

In order to get a handle on this head trash, we need to know what it is, how it got there, and how to flip it around. In this episode of Be You, we'll do just that. After learning about what head trash is and how it can manifest itself in your life, I'll also give you three takeaways that will have a positive impact on how you feel and how you show up in life.

It isn't another affirmation. It isn't a one-day homework assignment that will fix it all. It is a journey. Your unique journey to being you.

51 - Tiffany Carter: You Don't Have to Mimic ANYONE ELSE to Find Huge Success Apr 15, 2021
    Show notes

What an amazing way to start this next chapter after the first 50 episodes. I was recently a guest on Project Me with Tiffany Carter and I knew immediately that I needed her here on Be You. I am honored to have spent over an hour on this interview with her. It felt less like an interview and more like conversations with a great friend.

Tiffany Carter is the host of Project Me podcast and a business coach for entrepreneurs. She takes the mystery out of making BIG money. She uses a magnetic combination of her clear-cut communication style that she developed as a TV news journalist, her business savvy and proven strategies as a multi-millionaire entrepreneur, and her intuitive ability to connect with women on a deeper level, to uncover what's blocking you from achieving your dream life.

This multi-millionaire entrepreneur went from a life of self-destruction to success, despite the odds being entirely against her. Tiffany's mission runs deeper than helping women create wealth; her bigger purpose is to help women find their worth.

In today's episode, Tiffany shares things that will stop you in your tracks. She shares what she endured as a young child and young woman. Her story is not an easy one but it is also one of triumph and success in business and in life. Forgive the buzzwords, but no one embodies the words authentic, real, and "Zero fucks given" quite like Tiffany and she is the perfect guest to kick off the next 50 episodes.

50 - Ten Questions Your Highest Self Wants to Be Asked Apr 13, 2021
    Show notes

Today is the day we celebrate 50 episodes of the Be You Podcast! My vibe and energy are so high and I am downright giddy. In this episode, I thank those who have helped me along this journey, share this milestone with you who have helped make this possible, and encourage you to follow your intuition like I did. It hasn't all been easy, but it has been so worth it. By acknowledging my fear and pushing through it, I've made it here to this highly significant episode and I get to share it with you.

Through this episode, I also provide the ten important questions you need to ask your highest self. Write them down or take a screenshot, whichever works for you. But keep them. Learn them. And make them habitual.

    1. What am I pretending not to know?
    2. Is this raising or lowering my vibe?
    3. How would the highest version of me show up right now?
    4. How did I cause this and attract it to me?
    5. Is this getting me the life I desire?
    6. What are you trying to teach me?
    7. Is it true or just true in my paradigm?
    8. Is this my business, their business or God's business?
    9. What is my body telling me?
    10. What would love do right now?

I cannot wait to hear from you and how these questions help you connect with your highest self. And I can't wait to know how this Be You milestone is helping you follow your own intuition. Thank you for being here!

49 - When We Call Them Givers But They're Unknowingly Takers Apr 08, 2021
    Show notes

In true Be You Podcast fashion, we're getting a little uncomfortable today. You're probably looking at the title and thinking, "Well, that's not too bad, Jill. How is that uncomfortable?" It can be, because today I am challenging your belief system on the topic of givers and takers.

Through personal stories and experiences, I demonstrate in this episode the many ways we can show up as givers and takers. It's not always cut and dry, but most of the time is much deeper than that. We'll talk about "taker mentality," guilt friendships, enabling through serving, and more that is intended to open you up on this topic and to consider who you show up as in different situations. I'm inviting you to think about it this way. It doesn't mean I'm right. I am inviting you to try this on and sit with it for a while. And I hope you take a moment to let me know how you feel.

48 - Why Won't They Apologize? The Hidden Depth Under the I'm Sorry Apr 06, 2021
    Show notes

Why is it so difficult for some of us to say, "I'm sorry?" Why do we sometimes feel like we need to justify it? I've shown up this way. It is so easy to fall into that pattern of saying sorry but not truly apologizing in a way that shows empathy or acknowledges the other person's feelings in any way. Why is it so hard for some of us to show empathy and acknowledge their pain even when we don't understand or agree?

In this episode, we dig into what a good apology looks like and what a bad apology looks like. There are three key parts to an apology that will not only strengthen your relationship with the other person, but it will allow you to grow. I give you actionable steps to take and questions to ask yourself as you apologize to someone, receive an apology from someone, and talk to someone in your life who just can't say the words, "I'm sorry."

47 - Carah Elizabeth: The Inner Child: Discovering the Wisdom of Your Body Apr 01, 2021
    Show notes

Are you ready for a new favorite Be You Podcast episode? This specific episode is so powerful and eye-opening. During this almost-hour-long interview with today's guest, I learned so much and am thrilled to share it with you.

Today's guest is Carah Elizabeth. Carah Elizabeth is a Body Wisdom Coach. She incorporates her years as a psychotherapist with holistic approaches such as Somatic Movement, Yoga, breathwork, and Reiki energy healing to help women find healing for their body, mind, and soul. With 15 years experience, Carah has helped thousands of women reconnect to the wisdom of their bodies; finding freedom from the prison of body hatred, limiting beliefs, and past traumatic experiences so they can live a life fully connected and confident.

I could talk with her for hours, but today we chose the topic of inner child work. I have spent years in talk therapy but had never heard of this until recently. I am so eager to learn more and Carah is the perfect guest to guide us. In this episode, she not only helps us understand and embrace inner child work, she gives us actionable steps to take to begin the process and offers so much guidance with wide-open arms.
