76 - How to Stop Chasing the Bucket List Jul 12, 2021
    Show notes

In this quick episode, I'm shaking things up a bit. I was recently asked to write an article for a magazine about goals and bucket lists. They wanted to know how to achieve these lofty goals, but I wasn't feeling called to take that approach. Instead, I wrote an article about making yourself the bucket list.

Don't forget that I am partnering with Supercast for a spin-off channel which will give you more access to me and even more content that you won't find here on the podcast. It's so much of a deeper dive into important topics crucial to the growth and journeys we are all on together. It is also an opportunity to learn more about how I was able to go from being broke to owning a multi-million dollar business. This is where you will find more business-related work you can do and the kind of things you can do to find success in your career. You deserve to do this work. As hard as it is, this work will get you one step closer to excavating the real you and finding your joy and abundance.

74 - Emotional Dumping, Oversharing, and Energy Vampires Jul 05, 2021
    Show notes

I used to be this way and it isn't something I'm proud of. I was showing up as an emotional dumper, oversharer, and total energy vampire. What does that mean? Well that's what this episode is all about. It could be that you are like this or that you care about someone who is. In this episode, we discuss what it means to overshare, which is different from drama and gossip. I also give you tools for your toolbox on how to talk to someone you care about who tends to overshare and dump their emotions on you. They don't do it intentionally. As always, it comes from fear and they feel secure and grounded in talking to you. So how can you create these boundaries?

Don't forget that I am partnering with Supercast which will give you more access to me and even more content that you won't find here on the podcast. 73 - What It Takes to Have a Top Podcast or Successful ANYTHING Jul 01, 2021
    Show notes

Whatever it is you are being called to do, do it. That's what this whole episode is about. I started this podcast with no plan or outline. But what I did have was a calling to start and the commitment to consistency. Now Be You Podcast has turned into something bigger than I ever imagined. What is holding you back from being successful? I'm not talking about just in business or hosting a podcast. It could be literally ANYTHING. What are you being called to do and what is it that's stopping you? I know that it is fear. If you feel that you have a message that needs and deserves to be heard but you're afraid to share it, you probably should share it. Life is too short to not take the steps towards what you are feeling called to do.

Although we're discussing what it takes to have a top podcast, this episode is truly about following your intuition and stepping forward even when you are afraid. This isn't about how to get yourself organized, plan an interview, get your recording equipment, or anything like that. It's the grey area that you can't Google the answer to. So listen on to get that push you need to share the message or do the thing you are being called to do.

Don't forget that I am partnering with Supercast which will give you more access to me and even more content that you won't find here on the podcast. 72 - Who Would You Be Without That Belief? Jun 28, 2021
    Show notes

If I asked you what your core beliefs are, what would you say? What are they? Can you even answer that question? What if I told you that what you think are your core beliefs might be hiding the truth?

Today's episode, we dive into subconscious thoughts, effort, and energy that shows our true core beliefs. After all the work I had done for years, I'm just discovering things about my own core beliefs and the fear that is hidden behind them. For example, I've always been a perfectionist. Turns out that the core belief of needing things to be perfect was actually covering something else up. So listen on for some examples on how this can show up in your life and for a journaling opportunity if you are ready to take this next step in excavating the real you.

I also have an exciting announcement! I am partnering with Supercast which will give you more access to me and even more content that you won't find here on the podcast. 71 - The Truth About Lies Jun 24, 2021
    Show notes

I am now the first to admit that I used to be a "liar, liar, pants on fire." Not my proudest accomplishment, but having learned so many things about myself, I now know why I would lie and how to have uncomfortable conversations with other people when I know they aren't being truthful.

We have all lied. And if you say you have never lied… you're lying. I used to justify my habit because they weren't "big" lies and I did not tell them with the intent to hurt anyone. But even using the term "little white lies" is such an excuse and it just isn't acceptable to me and my relationships with others.

This episode is a quick chat about my old habit and I also provide a journaling opportunity and an exercise you can do by yourself. You deserve to speak the truth

70 - Kelli Tennant: When Good Girls Remember Who the F They Are Jun 21, 2021
    Show notes

Today's guest reminds us that "None of us are perfect and we are perfect in that," in this raw and inspiring episode. I found Kelli Tennant by listening to her Top 50 podcast The Kelli Show and absolutely falling in love with it. I have loved everything about her and her energy and how she is showing up on this planet. The coolest thing is that I reached out to her on Instagram as someone she doesn't know and she immediately opened her arms and said yes. I am so thrilled and honored to have her here.

Kelli Tennant is a great example of someone who shows up as herself, that might make us uncomfortable, but always makes us "check ourselves." She is successful, confident, and triggering and I'm sure that there you might be turned off by your own opinion, fear, and judgement. But remember that triggers are a gift.

Kelli is a former pro athlete who found herself reporting for ESPN. Now she is a leader, coach, podcaster, and CEO of Soulfire Productions, all of which have nothing to do with her former athletic career. Why did she leave it all behind? In today's episode, Kelli lays it all out on the table. Why she made drastic changes in her life to save herself and how she lives her life as her true self today.

I also have an exciting announcement! I am partnering with Supercast which will give you more access to me and even more content that you won't find here on the podcast. It's so much of a deeper dive into important topics crucial to the growth and journeys we are all on together. It is also an opportunity to learn more about how I was able to go from being broke to owning a multi-million dollar business. You deserve to do this work. As hard as it is, this work will get you one step closer to excavating the real you and finding your joy and abundance. To join Jill's private feed click here: https://beyou.supercast.tech

69 - How Insecurity Can Evolve Into CONFIDENCE Jun 17, 2021
    Show notes

What happens when we encounter someone else who is confident, clearly knows and loves herself? We can say that we admire them all we want, but sometimes we secretly envy them. It is something I am continuing to work on, but I can easily say that I'm much better about this than I used to be.

In today's episode, we're digging a little deeper into confidence. We've recently begun the conversation in Episode 165: Why We Critique and Mock Confident Women and in the awesome interview with Michelle Pfile for Episode 166. Check those out for sure, because I know this topic is going to hit home for many of us.

Today, I share an antidote to jealousy, personal accounts of my own insecurities, and where these insecurities come from. Remember that our own development (or lack thereof) will impact our response to someone more confident. Will we embrace them or will it be a confrontation? It's also critical to note again that we attract the energy we put out there. If we are not secure with who we are; if we don't really love us; if we, deep down subconsciously, think we are not enough, it doesn't matter what's on the outside.

I also have an exciting announcement! I am partnering with Supercast which will give you more access to me and even more content that you won't find here on the podcast. 68 - Same Lesson, Different Classroom Jun 14, 2021
    Show notes

You know when we experience those whispers and lessons time and time again and somehow we still say, "Oh shit. I forgot?" Things will keep repeating themselves until we truly learn them and then we will be tested. Well, that's what happened to me. I was tested and I failed miserably.

Although looking back at my experience today makes me laugh and likely will make you laugh, too, the lesson is clear. In my case, I knew better but I still didn't follow my intuition. So in today's episode, I share how I ignored the whispers and when they got louder and clearer, it was too late and I was already in too deep. I should have followed my intuition. I didn't need to sign up for this lesson but I did anyway. I chose the hard way.

So after hearing my story, ask yourself, "Where am I signing up to repeat the same lesson over and over again?"

67 - Worry is a Magnet For All That You Fear Jun 10, 2021
    Show notes

I am confident that many if not most of us worry. Everyone worries to different extremes, but if you are not the type of person who worries, I can't relate. But what does that worrying mean and what can we do about it?

In this episode, we discuss what worrying is actually doing to our minds and bodies. Remember that there is only love and fear, so where does worry fit in? It certainly doesn't come from love and when we worry we are calling out and beckoning the things we stress over right to us.

I will be the first to say that letting go of worrying is not something that just happens. It isn't a switch we can turn on and off. But when we truly breathe, love ourselves, and surrender, worry can't grow.
