107 - What No One is Telling You About Business Success Nov 22, 2021
    Show notes

In today's unique episode, you'll be hearing the valuable content in the first episode of the Be You in Business spin off channel. In this episode, I share what a lot of people don't share about business. Even if you don't have your own business or have no intent to start a business, the same principles apply to any field of work because what you bring to your workplace, wherever that may be, is YOU. And if you do own a business or are thinking about starting one, remember that everything about business is YOU. The pain and fears you have, but also the healing.

    ------------------

The Be You podcast is hosted by certified girl boss Jill Herman, a champion of women's empowerment, personal development, women helping women, and being yourself without apology. Each episode features Jill's experiences with personal development and her journey to being yourself, sometimes featuring guests who are prime examples of women helping women.

Being a girl boss no longer just refers to achievement in the workplace. Personal development and prioritizing being yourself are key ingredients in the women's empowerment movement. Jill has built a community of women helping women so that each one can reach their full potential as the badass girl boss they are.

Whether you're already a champion of women's empowerment, you're a girl boss interested in personal development, you'd like advice on being yourself, you're looking for a community of women helping women, or you're just here for Jill's lessons and entertainment, the Be You podcast is for you.

104 - Wanna Know How She Does It All? - She Doesn't - Or She Tries and Slowly Dies Nov 01, 2021
    Show notes

There's this societal conditioning we have that makes us feel like we have to do it all. We've got to fit it all in while also looking a certain way, performing a certain way in our career, household, and even in bed. We look at other women and compare ourselves to them as we make ourselves feel guilty for not being able to do or be it all. Today, I'm here to tell you that you are enough. In this episode, we talk about where this mindset comes from and how our deep seated fear creates a vicious never-ending cycle of "not enough." You get to decide and today I challenge you to break up with doing it all.

103 - Moon Dancing, Intuition, and Letting GO - Remembering the Divine Feminine Oct 25, 2021
    Show notes

We know that we all have masculine and feminine energy. But what I'm finding is that as a society, we have developed this idea that we need to be more masculine (more doing and working) to be more powerful. That's not how it works. The true power is a balance between the two and we need to reconnect with the divine feminine. We need to allow our visions and dreams to come to fruition by trusting our intuition and we do that by getting back into our bodies. In this episode, we dive right in and I share one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. One I would have missed entirely if I hadn't chosen to take that step towards living through complete freedom.

Amy Edwards joins us for such a real and down to earth conversation that you don't want to miss. Amy, host of The Amy Edwards Show Podcast, breaks down the power of reframing. What is your self-talk like? How do you talk about yourself to others? When I started this podcast, I thought that I would suck at it. But Amy's right. What if I reframed "I suck at it," to "I'm making messy progress"? Listen on for her experiences in improving her self-talk and overall happiness just by reframing her thinking. Because these incremental shifts get us closer to the real us.

    99 - If It's Not a Full Body YES, It's a NO Sep 30, 2021
    Show notes

Recently, I made a seemingly odd decision. It was inconvenient timing to make such a big decision, but I felt so confident that it was something I needed to do. This was a Full Body YES moment and I listened. In this episode, I share a personal experience that demonstrates the power of following these full body yesses even when they don't make sense. Oftentimes we say yes to many different things before we even ask ourselves, so in this episode we also discuss how to check in with your body and mind before giving a confident answer. Because if it isn't a full body yes, it is a NO.

98 - Living and Loving from Scars Instead of Wounds Sep 27, 2021
    Show notes

I was once told to write from my scars and not my wounds. This piece of advice for my writing made me realize that this applies to every aspect of life, especially relationships. This episode is all about how to recognize wounds and scars and how living through wounds will always lead to disappointment and heartache. How can we live through scars instead? Believe me, it shows up in everything and in this episode, I share personal stories of relationships and how living through my wounds even impacted my parenting.

    97 - Are You a Victim or a Creator? What if You're Both? Sep 23, 2021
    Show notes

Many of us claim that we hate the victim type. You know, the people who blame others for their own actions and circumstances. But in reality, many of us are playing the victim, sometimes without even knowing it. I've been there and I've done that. In this episode we're reflecting on how we show up. Are you showing up in lack and scarcity? Even if you answer no, what do your actions say? Take a moment to listen to this episode and notice how you are showing up in your actions and where you can shift from being a victim to being a creator.
