Consciously Curious with Alyson Haley

Welcome to the Consciously Curious Podcast - a safe & supportive space for people to feel seen, validated and expanded in their pursuit of greater alignment in their lives. Each week, your host, Alyson Haley, a long-time American style and travel influencer turned heart-led wisdom seeker, invites you to join her & her expert guests in exploring topics in the realms of modern spirituality, self-development and health & wellness. The mission here is to explore the ways in which our mind, body and soul are all connected and to be a beacon of light and support for those navigating their own conscious upleveling, transformation, or personal evolution. Alyson Haley, who actually goes by Haley, is originally from the U.S. but currently living in the UK. Her big move abroad shook the foundation of everything she knew and was, ultimately, the catalyst to a season of death and rebirth - the shedding of an expired identity and a remembering of who she has always been at her core. This podcast is her way of re-introducing herself and creating space for others, who may be in a similar season, to understand some of the topics that brought her peace, comfort and understanding during a time that felt equal parts scary and disorienting. For her, there is so much beauty in possibility and she firmly believes there’s so much to be gained when we allow ourselves to drop our biases & lead with curiosity and kindness. These two values will be at the root of every conversation and she sincerely hopes you find this place to be one you look forward to returning to week after week. Tune in on Wednesdays for new episodes and don’t forget to join the community by subscribing to the weekly newsletter! Read More

Out to Pasture

Former professional football players Kim Bokamper and Joe Rose are now closer to their 70s than their 20s, but they still love to laugh, learn, and refuse to let the old man in their heads take a step through the front door. Join Bo and Joe as they chat with their friends from all walks of life about aging, living life to its fullest, and everything in between. We may be old, but we're not going anywhere!

Kim Bokamper was a first round draft choice of the Miami Dolphins in 1976. The former linebacker and defensive end received Pro Bowl honors in 1979 and was a member of the Dolphins' fabled "Killer B's" Defense before becoming a popular South Florida media personality and restauranteur.

Joe Rose played tight end for the Dolphins from 1980-1985 and most famously caught Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino's first-ever NFL touchdown pass in 1983. Rose has spent more than three decades entertaining and informing South Florida sports fans on both the radio and television.

Join the Docs

"Health is more than the absence of disease, so we tackle topics impacting all aspects of your health and wellbeing. Because we trained as doctors together, are dear friends and believe laughter truly is the best medicine, we find joy discussing the profession we love. It’s like being privy to a conversation that you might otherwise never hear; what goes on "behind the curtains,” while providing clarity and insights to complex issues." Hosted by Professor Jonathan Sackier, a surgeon and Doctor Nigel Guest, a family practitioner, with their 50 years of joint experience in the medical industry they bring you Join the Docs. A blend of fun and facts, empowering our listeners with news they can use to seek the best healthcare. After training in surgery in Britain, Jonathan was recruited to America to help introduce laparoscopic “keyhole” surgery. He loved caring for patients, teaching, conducting research and sharing his passion for medicine.‍ Patients’ needs inspired Jonathan to help develop several medical inventions, including the first surgical robot and various devices, diagnostics, drugs and services. Always valuing Nigel’s perspectives, their shared love of science and humour, and driven by the social constraints imposed by Covid, Join the Docs was born over many late-night video calls and virtual cocktail hours! Nigel grew up in Britain’s ‘Black Country’ zealously to his bizarre accent. A Liverpool University educated doctor, he stoically remained in the country’s northwest building a large National Health Service (NHS) General Practice.‍ Motivated by improving patient care, Nigel increasingly became involved with healthcare management, ultimately becoming CEO of a successful and innovative NHS Commissioning Group, overseeing a £350m budget and leading large-scale cancer care and mental health innovations.‍ Driven by a joint love of education and communication, and believing in the therapeutic power of humour, Nigel and Jonathan have come together at Join the Docs to share experiences, educate and hopefully amuse. Stay happy, stay healthy, as it beats the alternative. You spend a long time dead. What We Really Want: Conversations About Connection

If it's true that "...the opposite of addiction is not sobriety...the opposite of addiction is connection," there are lots of people who need to discover what true, healthy connection looks like. Whether the struggle is with addiction, toxic relationship dynamics, or something else, we've all tried to meet our needs in some really unhealthy ways. Way too often, the things we run to for comfort leave us feeling even more disconnected and alone than before.

Through conversations about the many ways we can connect, this podcast offers an invitation to discover and start getting what we really want, so we can live the lives we were created for.

Awaken (awakenrecovery.com) helps men and women whose lives have been wrecked by unwanted/addictive sexual behaviors and sexual betrayal trauma. We hope the podcast will help not only those struggling sexually, but anyone who seeks healthier ways of finding connection.
