    Yoga Strong

To be “Yoga Strong” is to pay attention to not only your body, but how you navigate being human. While combining strength and grace creates a powerful flow-based yoga practice, it is the practice of paying attention in the same ways off-the-mat that can be equally impactful.

This podcast is a guide for yoga teachers, practitioners and people trying to craft a life they’re proud AF about. This is about owning your voice. This is about curiosity, bravery, sensuality, and building a home in yourself.

034 - Mat to Miles with Seth Funderburg Sep 07, 2020
    Show notes

As a running coach, Seth Funderburg knows how breath, pace, and cues make a difference in his athletes. He's all about helping people become the best versions of themselves.

Seth shares how joy is the reason to move, not how we look or want to look, so we keep returning to the thing. We talk about how cueing from the mat and cueing miles are the same and different. Things like: soften your face, tone of voice, invitation, breath pace, and taking inventory of what you are trying to accomplish.

You can find Seth on the gram at @run__bmt or online at blackmattertraining.com.

    032 - Let's Talk About Sex Intro with Taylor-leigh Aug 18, 2020
    Show notes

"Let's talk about sex" is a new series on Yoga Strong!

Taylor Rynicki will join me for these convos where we share our personal ideas, experiences, growth, parenting, and navigation of all things sex, pleasure, nudity, sensuality, and joy. We are not claiming to be trained sex therapists or sexologists, but two women-identifying individuals interested in normalizing conversations around sexuality. We believe if more people are talking about it, more people can enjoy it.

We're looking forward to this being a conversation WITH listeners. Reach out and share your stories, ask questions, correct us when we need it...we want it all. Email hello@bonnieweeks.com.

029 - My Sister is a Badass with Anna Strange Jun 29, 2020
    Show notes

The mirror mantra my sister uses is powerful shit. She's the type of person where people literally say, "everyone needs an Anna." I even say it. She knows business. She's experienced employers who made her feel worthless, she knows that pain, but she knows her power now. She's been running her own business for the past two years and in this episode shares some of the advice she wishes she would have received. I might be biased #sisters, but she's pretty damn cool.

    025 - I've Been on the Wrong Side Before Jun 04, 2020
    Show notes

Being an ally and activist for Black Lives Matter is non-negotiable for me. It's not going to be pretty, but I'm committed to showing up to learn and listen. I haven't been looking close enough at my own privilege. In this podcast, I share a time I was on the wrong side and how I will not choose that again. I share some analogies and ideas for you to begin this allyship with me.
As mentioned, look in my Instagram story highlights for the "BLM" highlight to see resources for books, podcasts, documentaries, places to donate to, accounts to follow, etc.
