    Yoga Strong

To be “Yoga Strong” is to pay attention to not only your body, but how you navigate being human. While combining strength and grace creates a powerful flow-based yoga practice, it is the practice of paying attention in the same ways off-the-mat that can be equally impactful.

This podcast is a guide for yoga teachers, practitioners and people trying to craft a life they’re proud AF about. This is about owning your voice. This is about curiosity, bravery, sensuality, and building a home in yourself.

043 - Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy: why, what to expect, my current experience Oct 22, 2020
    Show notes

I'm now convinced everyone should try this at least once. The pelvic floor, meaning the muscle group that connects to the bottom of your pelvis, is responsible for helping you breath, keeping you from peeing your pants, are integral in sex feeling good, hold a bladder in, work with your bowels, and affect your posture. I signed up for physical therapy to understand how my pelvic floor is working and how I can be more aware of it.

To find a pelvic floor physical therapist, contact a clinic near you and ask if they have someone on staff with this speciality.

    042 - Selfish Honesty & Communication: Let's Talk About Sex with Taylor-leigh Oct 20, 2020
    Show notes

Communication is so much more than just words. It's meaning what you say AND saying what you mean. Selfish honesty asks us to look INSIDE rather than responding the way we "think" someone wants us to. It's observing. It's reflection. It's important for all genders to be acknowledged for their brains and emotions to feel well f---ked in our bodies. Teaser word: toes. You're invited to practice paying attention to what you really want and owning it.

This episode is part of an ongoing series called "Let's Talk about Sex" with my friend Taylor. Our goal is to normalize conversations like this to encourage others to do the same. We believe it will create stronger and more enjoyable relationships with ourselves and partners if more people are talking about sex.

041 - Flow School: Create What You Wish You Had Oct 15, 2020
    Show notes

Do you ever think "I wish there was a book about" or "it would be really nice if ____ existed" or "it would be helpful if there was a way to ____"? Create it! Who are you not to do it?!

In this episode I share about Flow School, what it's about and why I created it. It's for yoga teachers and based around how to create and teach flow/vinyasa yoga classes. But the catch is...I'm really big on community being part of that. Listen to hear more.

Check out Flow School enrollment on my website and message me with any questions.

035 - LGBTQ+ Awareness for Yoga Teachers with Tristan Katz Sep 15, 2020
    Show notes

As yoga teachers, there is a leadership responsibility to hold safer, braver and inclusive spaces for all people. This often begins with awareness and acknowledgement of the experience of others. As an equity-inclusion facilitator, Tristan Katz brings together their personal experience and training to help yoga teachers understand how to normalize pronouns, understand privilege and hold space both digitally and in-person. They have several online tools and coaching available.

This conversation is a call-in to normalize sharing your pronouns. Something so easy. Add them to your IG, zoom name and email. Small things mean a lot.

Find Tristan online and instagram. Peep their "bios for yoga teachers."
