    Yoga Strong

To be “Yoga Strong” is to pay attention to not only your body, but how you navigate being human. While combining strength and grace creates a powerful flow-based yoga practice, it is the practice of paying attention in the same ways off-the-mat that can be equally impactful.

This podcast is a guide for yoga teachers, practitioners and people trying to craft a life they’re proud AF about. This is about owning your voice. This is about curiosity, bravery, sensuality, and building a home in yourself.

022 - What does alcohol have to do with yoga? Apr 29, 2020
    Show notes

In this conversation with Pamela Price, we learn there are four messages our brains are programmed to seek. Knowling these, it becomes easier to see why we choose what we do. Paying attention to our "why" gives us the ability to shift from our regular, ask how it's serving us, and rise with more awareness. While we talk a bit about alcohol, this conversation gives perspective to look at any habit you have.
Pamela Price is an Alcohol Free Coach and Yoga Teacher. Her program Nourished Warrior is a supportive group and individual experience that supports you wherever you are, gray area drinkers included.

    020 - Get Loud, Get Dirty Mar 24, 2020
    Show notes

A response to our current situation with COVID-19: the way emotions create tension in our bodies makes movement, expressing through our voice, and finding a connection to the Earth vital to living creatively and full of joy.

In this episode: joy, how cold water affects your body, finding ways to get loud in order to process your emotional and mental process, ideas how to connect with the earth even if you cannot currently touch it, and how using all of this to fuel creativity can bring fulfillment.

Quote read from "The Book of Joy" with the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, and Doublas Abrams: "Discovering more joy does not, I'm sorry to say, save us from the inevitability of hardship and heartbreak. In fact, we may cry more easily, but we will laugh more easily, too. Perhaps we are just more alive. Yet as we discover more joy, we can face suffering in a way that ennobles rather than embitters We have hardship without becoming hard. We have heartbreak without being broken."

017 - Talking to Kids About Sex Feb 12, 2020
    Show notes

How we pay attention to our own sexuality and sensuality as adults can make for a stronger ability to connect with our children as they navigate the same.

If we want our kids to be able to have healthy, safe, pleasurable, and confident sexual experiences in their bodies, that begins with parents. The way we, as adults, explore and embrace our own sexuality directly impacts the way we can show up for our children. Bonnie shares about her goal to normalize the conversation around sex, bodies, and relationships for her kids and encourages others to look for places to let these conversations be part of everyday life.
