Loqueesha Jun 30, 2022

Show notes

Listeners Choice Month finishes off with a movie that many warned about and caused a firestorm of online rage from any poor soul that witnessed the release of the very misbegotten premise and trailer. The guys talk about the truly offensive premise combined with some of the laziest filmmaking in cinema history, the random M. Night Shyamalan slam, racist foreshadowing, the iPhone edit, the most infuriating ending of all-time, comparisons to the Dolly Parton film Straight Talk and much, much more.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (w/Joshua Kotsabasakis) Jun 23, 2022

Show notes

The penultimate episode of Listeners Choice Month caps off with the longest episode in WWTT history! Joining the guys for this one is returning guest Joshua Kotsabasakis as they discuss... Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. They talk all about the legendary "MARTHA!" scene, the dull colour palette, the bizarre and infuriating Jimmy Olsen cameo, the movie's weird connection to Lethal Weapon 4 and more. Plus: they really break down Jesse Eisenberg's performance and why he is seemingly playing another character altogether (along with a semi-hot take!)

Next week: Loqueesha... sigh.

In the span of this episode, the guys discuss Matt Damon's super-90s flippy haircut making it into the character design, the fantastic Don Bluth animation having a very weird collaboration with some sloppy CGI, the most obvious double-cross in the history of film, Bluth's adept skill at animating butts and much more.

Tron: Legacy Jun 02, 2022

Show notes

Listeners Choice Month begins with a pick from the Spirit! It's Tron: Legacy and it has the guys scratching their heads at all the WACKY terminology! Is de-aged Jeff Bridges one of the worst "special effects" in cinematic history? How much word salad can this movie get away with? Is Olivia Wilde playing a sex robot? Did this movie really have a character twist that has absolutely no weight if you haven't seen the first film? And how DARE you tease Cillian Murphy and then barely deliver, movie!

Is that Ice-T playing a talking kangaroo man? Did the studio interference actually make things... better? How much quipping can one movie handle? NO SERIOUSLY... IS THAT ICE-T AS A TALKING KANGAROO MAN!?
