    Wannabe Balanced | MINDSET Coach

This podcast started out as a self help podcast for moms trying to find balance in motherhood and business but morphed into a documentation of Crystal and Sean Escobar’s journey out of the Mormon church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). The Podcast has been therapeutic on so many levels for its hosts. They vulnerably share their pitfalls and triumphs as they work to deconstruct a lifetime of indoctrination from the LDS church which they exited in the Spring of 2018. Sexual shame, marriage, parenting, science, spirituality, personal development, healing, sex abuse, are some of the topics they focus on.

At episode 100 they both decided they were done processing their experience in the church and shifted their focus on helping others heal and grow in all areas of life. Crystal became a Certified Life/ Mindset Coach in 2020 and now offers free education in personal development via her podcast.

Her mission is to help women overcome past trauma and limiting beliefs, empowering them to create the life they were meant to live through her podcast, Time Management Course, and one on one coaching services.

Schedule a free session with her to find out how she can help you.

Ep #90: Ways to Bring About Positive Change Jun 30, 2020
    Show notes

It's a team effort. We all can't be activists for every problem in the world, but we can choose one or a few things that we are most passionate about and focus on that.

We need more gratitude for the things that each of us decide to spend our time on and less shaming for the things we don't.

Ep #89: Building Bridges w/ Terina Maldonado Jun 15, 2020

    Ep #88: A Life Without Labels Jun 02, 2020
    Show notes

Labels put people in boxes and generates separation, hate, arguments, and destruction.

When we truly see ourselves and others void of labels, our ability to relate, create, love, and connect, multiplies beyond what we thought was possible.

    Ep #87: Alcohol, Sex, & Marriage w/ Sean Escobar May 20, 2020
    Show notes

In an effort to abandon all judgement, we may also unintentionally rule out all reason.
There was a time when Sean and I were both trying to allow each other to be FREE, but soon realized this mentality can backfire if we try to suppress our true feelings about certain things.
    It's okay to speak up.
It's okay to set boundaries in your relationship.
It's okay to have requests of one another as long as you feel you are both equally compromising.
You can protect your marriage without trying to control or change one another.

Ep #86: Margi Dehlin | Embracing the Unknown May 11, 2020
    Show notes

Margi Dehlin is a co-host on The Gift of the Mormon Faith Crisis podcast and a Certified Life Coach. In her work she explores life transitions (involving religion, death or loss, divorce, illness, or empty nest syndrome) as they impact marriage, parenting, identity, family relationships--and one's ability to find a renewed sense of purpose amidst daily living.

In this episode we discuss the emotions that come with a life transition as we are all experiencing one right now with COVID. We are grieving the loss of our old "normal" and learning to embrace the new and uncharted territories.

Ep #85: Mixed Faith Marriage w/ Sean Escobar Apr 23, 2020
    Show notes

Sean and I discuss some pitfalls when it comes to our ever changing beliefs and opinions.

*Trying to create harmony as we navigate our different interests and understandings around the meaning of life.

*How we are growing together EVEN when we disagree on so many things.

*Is it okay to ONLY consume information that makes you feel good, and to what extent is that just ignorance?

Ep #84: What is TRUE? Apr 15, 2020
    Show notes

    What is TRUTH?

"Does it light you up? Or does it put you into fear?

It is an impossibility to know THE TRUTH. Meaning there are so many perspectives . This multidimensional universe is far more complex than the human is allowed to experience. There is only so much that you are supposed to, or are designed to access. Yes, you can have cosmic multidimensional experiences. But if you are looking for "the truth" you are going to run yourself into trouble.

If you are looking for YOUR TRUTH, your truth is what gets you back in your own body in a way that gets you feeling more wellbeing, happy, and in more joyous service.

Truth seekers are not actually seeking truth, they are seeking themselves."

    ~Lee Harris

In this episode I share my persepective on this world wide crisis we are faced with and the story I'm choosing to believe.

*How to allow our children to make their own choices while still maintaining rules and boundaries.
*Ways to have better communication with our teens.
