Show notes Do you feel tired and worn out from trying to keep everyone happy all the time? Do you feel like there is no time or space in your mind to deal with everyday situations? If your answer is yes to either of those questions, you’re in the right place. This episode is to help you build out your spheres of influence and remind you who should get the most of you. Not everyone will get all of you spiritually, emotionally, and physically and that's okay. You can't serve everyone 100% percent and not expect a breakdown somewhere.

Truth Talk: Why Your Diet Could Be Hurting You More Than Helping You Aug 11, 2021
Show notes Dieting is the worst way to lose weight. The fitness industry teaches us that by losing weight we’ll become happy with our bodies and therefore happy with ourselves. But the truth is that we can't fix an internal problem with an external solution. Our hope is in our Savior and not a diet. In this Truth Talk, I’m breaking down the characteristics of a diet, how they can affect our thought process, and what we can do to reframe our perspective about eating.

Show notes Do you feel overwhelmed, moody, fatigued, or frustrated? Have you considered that the time you’re spending on social media could be contributing to those feelings? Last month I investigated what would happen if I set healthy boundaries to create more space between me and social media. In this life update episode, I’m sharing about the daily habits I put in place that have helped me improve my mood, create the mental space I need to make better decisions, and produce the emotional space needed to heal from lingering wounds.

REPLAY - I Must Strive for the Perfect Body with Clara Norfleet Jul 28, 2021
Show notes For the month of July, I'm sharing replays of my most popular episodes.
In this episode, I’m talking with Registered Dietitian and Certified Personal Trainer Clara Norfleet about where we get the idea that there is a so-called “perfect body” and discuss how to identify when your pursuit of fitness has become your idol. We also chat about how changing our mindset and focusing inward can make being healthy easier. Believing the lie, I must strive for the perfect body, can leave you feeling exhausted, and like you are never going to be good enough.

REPLAY - Forgiveness: Why It's Important and What It Means to Forgive Jul 21, 2021
Show notes For the month of July, I'm sharing replays of my most popular episodes.
In this episode I'm discussing forgiveness and why it’s important to me. For a long time, I carried the weight of pain, unwilling to let go. I thought to forgive meant to erase all that had been done.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean reconciliation. That takes both parties coming together in agreement to work it out. Maybe that’s an option in this season, and perhaps it isn’t. Forgiveness takes one person. You. Your willingness to walk through healing with the Father.

REPLAY - Striving Equals Success with Michelle Myers Jul 14, 2021
Show notes For the month of July, I'm sharing replays of my most popular episodes.
In this episode I’m joined by the Founder and Creator of She Works His Way, Michelle Myers. Today we are going to debunk the myth that striving equals success. Michelle was a self-described chronic striver, switching her focus from school to relationships to eating, then to work. It wasn’t until she found herself completely overwhelmed with trying to make her life easier that she realized that instead of doing something less, she needed to love and trust God more. In this episode, we discuss what it means to have surrendered effort in business, true obedience, and living approved vs. living for approval.

Show notes For the month of July, I'm sharing replays of my most popular episodes.
In this truth talk, I’m having a conversation with Revelation Wellness instructors Liz Patton and Summer Faith about trusting the Holy Spirit instead of diet culture. I invited my friends on the show to discuss this topic because we find many women are striving for their bodies to look a certain way, but end up feeling frustrated and defeated after trying various diets with little success. Liz, Summer, and I dig into how the language around diet culture has damaged our thought process and how we view ourselves as well as provide some practical tips on how you can start to reverse diet culture thinking today.

Moving from Feeling to Healing - Part 2: 5 Steps to Process Your Emotions Jun 30, 2021
Show notes To move from feeling to healing we must identify our foundation, understand and have compassion for what we are experiencing, and apply the Word of God to our lives as we stay in communion and relationship with others. In part 2 of Feeling to Healing, I’m giving you 5 steps to help process your emotions and renew your mind. Remember, shame doesn’t change us; change happens in the tension. There is kindness in slowness. And scripture is not a bandage, it’s the ointment for the wound.
