Andrew Berry said WHAT?!? Instant reaction to the Cleveland Browns GM's bye week press conference Oct 04, 2023
    Show notes

Just 48 hours after Kevin Stefanski told the media Deshaun Watson was medically cleared to play against the Ravens but opted not to, Cleveland Browns GM Andrew Berry is set to speak publicly for the first time this season.

Berry's press conference is set for 10 am this morning, and the guys will be giving their instant thoughts on everything he says, including the handling of his star QB's injured shoulder.

On Tuesday's show, we had lead PFF analyst Sam Monson on to explain how PFF calculates its grades. With that knowledge in mind, we put the guys to the test to see if they can figure out how well certain Browns players scored against Baltimore.

Is Grant Delpit the best safety in football right now? Tyvis Powell makes the case for the Browns stud in the secondary.

Plus, is Terry Francona the best manager in Cleveland Guardians/Indians history?

Leroy Hoard also makes his weekly appearance on the show, and we may have a special guest as well (fingers crossed).

What makes Myles Garrett so great? Former All-Pro LB Shawne Merriman joins UCSS to explain Oct 03, 2023
    Show notes

Kevin Stefanski told reporters Deshaun Watson was cleared to play on Sunday, but Watson decided it was in his best interest to sit the Baltimore Ravens game out.

Most times, this would be nothing. However, Kevin Stefanski never says anything to the media, so is the fact he said anything about Watson's injury a little bit fishy?

Former NFL All Pro LB Shawne Merriman and PFF NFL Analyst Sam Monson both make their UCSS debuts today to help break down what we saw on Sunday & how Kevin Stefanski can fix it moving forward.

Deshaun Watson is expected to play against SF, assuming his right shoulder heals up.

Plus, Terry Francona is officially out as manager of the Cleveland Guardians. Adam The Bull has 4 guys he thinks make sense for the team to pursue as its next manager.

And Trevor Bauer speaks for the first time publicly on his sexual assault allegations now that all lawsuits have been dropped. Did MLB do Bauer dirty and what does this say about the bigger landscape of how media covers incidents like this?

Did the Cleveland Browns defense receive a reality check against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense Oct 02, 2023
    Show notes

The Cleveland Browns had a chance to make a mark on the AFC North win a win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Instead, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens kicked the crap out of the Browns in Cleveland.

Deshaun Watson was unable to play, and Kevin Stefanski didn't do DTR any favors, as the offense mustered up just 3 points.

Watson was injured last week against Tennessee and was a game-time decision, but doctors ruled him out at about 10:30 ET on Sunday. Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who the Browns promoted to QB2 after trading Josh Dobbs earlier this summer, looked like a rookie and struggled against a veteran Ravens defense.

DTR didn't have much help though. Outside of David Njoku, who battled burns on his face and arms for his best performance of the season, none of the Browns playmakers showed up when it mattered most. Jerome Ford and the running game was non-existent, which led to the defense being on the field for what felt like forever.

Myles Garrett and company did its best to hold Lamar Jackson at bay, but Lamar continued his excellent play in the city of Cleveland, scoring 4 TDs on the game.

The Browns now have plenty of questions of to answer as they enter the bye week at maybe the perfect time, before taking on San Francisco in Week 6.

The Browns sit at 2-2 on the season, tied for 2nd in the AFC North.

Kevin Stefanski, DTR or someone else? Who deserves the most blame for the Cleveland Browns UGLY L? Oct 02, 2023

POST GAME - CLEVELAND BROWNS VS. BALTIMORE RAVENS INSTANT REACTION: DTR STRUGGLES, Lamar DOMINATES; Ravens win Oct 01, 2023
    Show notes

The Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens met in a Week 4 AFC North clash with first place on the line, as each team entered the game with a 2-1 record.

Deshaun Watson did not play after being limited in practice all week, which meant Dorian Thompson-Robinson (DTR) made his first career start.

DTR struggled mightily in the first half, while Lamar Jackson played exceptional, and the Ravens took a 21-3 lead into the halftime locker room.

The Browns defense played relatively well, but was on the field for nearly the entire half and eventually, allowed the Ravens to sustain a long TD drive right before half.

If the Browns are going to have any type of second half comeback in the works, it's going to take a heroic offense from DTR.

That did not happen though, as DTR couldn't get any rhythm going and Lamar Jackson continued to ball out.

The Ravens turned a 4th quarter INT into another Mark Andrews TD to make it a 28-3 game, and that was all she wrote.

The Browns enter the bye, then host San Francisco in Week 6.

Deshaun Watson or DTR? Can the Browns beat the Ravens REGARDLESS of who is playing QB? Sep 29, 2023
    Show notes

Deshaun Watson did not practice on Wednesday for the Cleveland Browns.

DW4 had a "light", "limited" workload in practice on Thursday with a sore shoulder. QB1 is expected to play for the Browns on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, but is there any reason to be concerned long-term about the healthy of his right shoulder?

David Njoku is still waiting on his breakout game as a member of the Browns in 2023. What can Kevin Stefanski do to get his top tier tight end more involved this week against Baltimore?

Who has the coaching edge in this AFC North clash: Kevin Stefanski or John Harbaugh? Harbaugh is 24-6 in his career against Cleveland, and 11-5 in Cleveland, but Stefanski appears to have put a staff around him that allows him to fully reach his top capabilities as a playcaller.

Tim Couch makes his weekly appearance on the show to discuss Deshaun's best game as a Brown and how he can continue that success this Sunday.

Plus, 5 stats you NEED to know to get yourself ready for the big game, courtesy of McNuggets.

And REMEMBER: At 12:30 pm ET, we switch from YouTube to WKYC-TV (Channel 3) for 30 minutes of brand new, Browns/Ravens content.

Myles Garrett & the Cleveland Browns defense have earned the Baltimore Ravens respect | Jeff Zrebiec Sep 28, 2023
    Show notes

The Cleveland Browns & Baltimore Ravens are set to square off in an AFC North showdown this weekend with first place on the line.

If that wasn't enough motivation for the game, Ravens LB Roquan Smith added fuel to the fire by saying, "We going over to beat their tails in front of their wife and kids."

Now Roquan, why would you say that? Didn't you learn from Ja'Marr Chase earlier this season that giving this particular group of 53 men any type of bulletin board material is a bad idea?

Plus, what will a Nick Chubb-less offense look like in Cleveland? Have we seen anything from Deshaun Watson or Kevin Stefanski in the past that is a hint at what the future might hold?

Jadeveon Clowney & Odell Beckham Jr. are poised to make their returns to Cleveland -- any worries about a potential revenge game for those two?

Plus, Aditi Kinkhabwala and Jeff Zrebiec, The Athletic's Ravens beat reporter, join the show to help us preview the game on Sunday.

And of course, a look back at Terry Francona's final home game in Cleveland, what Tito has meant to this city and how the Cleveland Guardians will take its next step towards the future.
