Should the Browns rest Deshaun Watson one more week if he's not 100% ready & rock w/ Walker vs Indy? Oct 17, 2023

Show notes

Kevin Stefanski says Deshaun Watson is still day-to-day with his right shoulder injury, but is on-track to play again this season.

Mary Kay Cabot, who is on the show today, is reporting there is a chance Watson is ready to go against Indy this Sunday.

If Watson isn't 100% healthy for the Cleveland Browns game against the Indianapolis Colts, is it worth sitting him one more week & letting PJ Walker make his second start of the season?

The city of Cleveland is still on cloud 9 after the upset over the 49ers this past weekend. Is that the Browns best regular season win since 1999?

How did the Browns defense grade out according to PFF? Our guys are using their eye test vs. the PFF grades to see how played well & who needs to step it up.

Plus, some hypothetical trades that the Browns should consider looking into before the end of the season. Maybe a Saquon Barkley deal???

Plus, Emoni Bates dominates again in a Cavs preseason game. When is it time to give this man his flowers?

PJ Walker leads the Cleveland Browns to victory over the 49ers in his first start with the team Oct 16, 2023

Show notes

The Cleveland Browns SHOCKED the NFL world on Sunday by upsetting the previously undefeated San Francisco 49ers, 19-17.

PJ Walker did just enough on offense, but it was Jim Schwartz and the Browns defense that dominated the matchup to ensure a signature win on Kevin Stefanski's resume.

Walker didn't throw a touchdown, but he did lead the team on two late scoring drives to take the lead.

SF drove down the field in the final minutes and had a chance to win, but Jake Moody's 41-yard field goal attempt in the final seconds was pushed right, no good, as the city exploded with excitement.

With the win, the Browns improve to 3-2 on the year while SF falls to 5-1.

Since returning to Cleveland in 1999, the Browns are now 6-70 in games in which they are 9+ point underdogs. This was the team's first win as a 9+ point dog since 2010, and just the second win at home.

Martin Emerson Jr. got his first career INT off Brock Purdy, who looked more than pedestrian against this ferocious Cleveland defense.

It's VICTORY MONDAY people and let us tell you... IT FEELS GREAT.

CLEVELAND BROWNS VS. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS INSTANT REACTION: Defense SHINES, PJ Walker leads CLE to W Oct 16, 2023

Show notes

The Cleveland Browns were not supposed to be able to hang with the San Francisco 49ers without Deshaun Watson.

However, at the half, the PJ Walker led Browns only trail the undefeated Niners by 3 points (10-7).

The 49ers scored first on a Christian McCaffrey screen pass and followed it up with a quick INT of PJ Walker, but the Browns defense held SF to a FG try which Jake Moody missed.

SF shut down the Browns offense for the majority of the half, but PJ Walker found Amari Cooper on a deep go route which set up a Kareem Hunt TD run. It was a beautifully designed run play by the Browns that Kevin Stefanski had been setting up for weeks now.

The Browns get the ball back to start the second half.

The Browns took at 13-10 lead in the third quarter before a Walker INT led to an easy SF score to go up 17-13.

Cleveland kicked a FG to make it 17-16.

KEY INJURY UPDATES for the Cleveland Browns + How PJ Walker lead this team to a win over the 49ers Oct 13, 2023

Show notes

NFL Insider Josina Anderson is reporting that Deshaun Watson will NOT be active for the Cleveland Browns game vs. the San Francisco 49ers.

That means PJ Walker will get the start at QB.

Mary Kay Cabot is reporting Joel Bitonio & David Njoku are also unlikely to play, meaning Kevin Stefanski will be without 3 of his best offensive players against of the best defenses in the NFL.

Do the Browns still stand a shot against the 49ers?

If you were drafting 10 players for the game on Sunday, how many Browns would be in that list?

Tim Couch joins the show to discuss the struggles of playing through an injured shoulder. The former Browns QB has a unique perspective the rest of us don't from that position.

We're also debuting "Sunshine & Rainbows" - a way to make Browns fans feel good about the upcoming game.

Plus, a 5-pack of must know stats from McNuggets ahead of Sunday's showdown.

ALSO -- we switch over to WKYC-TV (Channel 3/NBC) at 12:30 for 30 more minutes of brand new, Browns/49ers content.

Will Myles Garrett have more sacks than Nick Bosa when the Browns and 49ers face off Sunday? Oct 12, 2023

Show notes

Deshaun Watson told reporters he was going to play against Baltimore.

On Sunday morning, just hours before the game, the Cleveland Browns ruled out Deshaun Watson and named DTR the starting QB.

The following Monday, Kevin Stefanski said it was Watson's decision to sit despite being medically cleared.

Then on Wednesday, GM Andrew Berry said it was an organizational decision to sit DW4, not just Watson's. Berry also said Watson would be ready to go against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fast forward to today and Watson still hasn't practiced this week and we're 3 days away from game day.

Is the mixed messaging between these three the first sign of a fracture in their relationship, or was it truly just a mistake made by upper management?

Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey and Kyle Shanahan have one of the most prolific offenses in football so far this season, but what scares you more about the offensive attack: the smashmouth run game or the creativity in the passing game?

Aditi Kinkhabwala & Brian Peacock, a 49ers podcast host, both join the show to give their thoughts on how Sunday's matchup will play out.

Plus, David Njoku shared pictures of his burn injuries for the first time since the incident occurred. He's an absolute WARRIOR for fighting through that pain.
