Episode No. 79 Signs It Might Be Time To Call It Quits Feb 09, 2020
    Show notes

Say the word “quitter” to a goal-getter and watch us flinch. 😖 We HATE that word. It’s like our kryptonite. We have this belief that if we quit something then we’ve failed big time.

But what if I told you that there is power in letting go, moving on and quitting? That showing up for yourself and saying “Hey, this isn’t working for me”; can open you up to so many new possibilities. Things like travel, more money, fun friendships, love, you name it. I’m living proof. Any and every time that I've been led to let go, pivot or quit, everything has ALWAYS worked out for my greater good.

So how do you know when it’s time to call it quits? Well, there are some telltale signs and I’m sharing them in today’s episode. If you’ve been thinking of throwing in the towel but get nervous when you even think of it, then this episode is for you. Because believe it or not, you can quit a thing and still be a #GoalGetter.

In today's episode, I'm sharing why it's so important to track your time. It may seem silly but tracking the time you spend on certain tasks + activities can help you advocate for yourself and ask for that promotion. Give you the confidence you need to raise your prices like a champ. And politely say "no thank you" when someone asks to pick your brain over coffee. Episode No. 76 The Truth About Clarity Jan 12, 2020
    Show notes

[Tweet ""Don't get so caught up in having the complete picture all figured out. You have to trust that some stuff will be revealed once you take action.""]Oh, clarity, the gift, and the curse.Clarity is such an essential tool for us #goalgetters. We need it in order to ensure that we're taking the right steps in our lives, goals, and business. But here's the thing though, sometimes clarity likes to hide behind its dear old friend- ACTION. That's right. There will be times in your goal chase when you won't know your next step until, well, you take a damn step.I know it would be so much easier if we could all just look into a crystal ball and see all the good, the bad and the ugly before we took our respective leaps of faith. But i'm afraid that it just doesn't work like that. It's more like get an idea, follow it through (even though you're scared 💩 less), commit to doing the work (even when you might not see results) and then boom a LITTLE bit of clarity comes! Wash, rinse, repeat.Well most of us don't like that cycle very much. We'd much rather have everything all mapped out. And so what happens? We get stuck + won't commit to our goals because we're waiting around on a big, crystal clear aha moment instead of doing the work so that the clarity comes. In today's episode, we're demystifying the whole clarity thing so that you can stop waiting on it and get to doing the dream work to make ish happen in your life!Check Out Episode No. 76Resources Mentioned In Today's Episode: This week's listener wins comes in from Ashley! Quick Tip #1: Create “Yes” Days Jan 08, 2020
    Show notes

I am a recovering people pleaser. In the past, if you ran up on me and invited me somewhere or asked me for a favor chances are I'd probably hurl an automatic "yes" at you. Not because I necessarily wanted to but because I thought it was the nice thing to do. As much as I wanted to be the "nice girl" I had to stop. I was in a chronic state of overwhelm + exhaustion all👏🏼 the 👏🏼 time 👏🏼! I was giving out way too many yeses and it was depleting me of all my ever-loving energy. So what did I start to do? Start saying "No" hard af!Jessica, can you babysit my kids? No.Do you want to go out to dinner tomorrow, Jessica? No.Can you help me with my homework? No.It felt good to finally stand my ground + give out "no's" left and right. Once I strengthened my no muscle, I was ready to open myself up to start saying yes again. However, this time around I made sure my yes was genuine. As a result, I grabbed my planner and scheduled in specific days where I would be intentional about saying Yes! For instance, I get a ton of requests to help people with their podcasts. Now let's say I was free on Wednesday the 15th. I'd schedule maybe an hour where I'd be open to letting folks "pick my brain" about podcasts. So if I got a request, I'd send them the link to my calendar that had three 20 minute slots. Once those slots were filled then that's it. I could go back to saying no until I decided to schedule in another yes day. Super simple right?Creating yes days helped me set boundaries while still being open to being helpful to others. If your calendar and commitments have been overwhelming you then today's #QuickTip is for you. Quick tip is a new SJS series. Every Wednesday we'll get together and quickly chat about a simple, actionable tip that can help you reset, refocus + power through the rest of your week!Resources Mentioned In Today's Episode: Calendly Want to show your support and donate a cup of coffee to Jessica?
