Why, shenanigans, of course! And lots of creepy cave demons! But who is the real villain in this movie? Hint: It's not the cave demons! What is your The Descent Review? Did you love it? Hate it? Invasion Season 2 Episode 7 Oct 12, 2023

Show notes

The Nerds review another episode of AppleTV's Invasion. And guess what? Nothing happens. Again. Well, stuff happens, but none of it really matters. Yes, this is the SEVENTH episode of nothing happening. Riveting TV, is it not?

Aneesha is still the worst mother ever, and she's terrible to everyone. In fact, she's now resorting to torture! Harvard educated torture, apparently. The Casper crew is reunited and there's a love triangle happening that no one cares about. And Trevante keeps sneaking into secure military bases and crawling into alien silos. Fun!

Invasion Season 2 Episode 6 - The Sex Dungeon Episode Oct 12, 2023

Show notes

Invasion Season 2 Episode 5 entitled "Pressure Points" is actually all about torturing the audience with three very stupid and boring story arcs rather than applying pressure to anything important. Discount Zendaya and the Casper Crew make it to Paris, stay in Monty's dad's swingin' sex dungeon apartment, and finally find Casper. Aneesha gets in a car wreck, rescues a stupid little girl, and has Luke mind-meld with an alien. And Mitsuki gets all kinds of freaky with the alien butthole. That's it. That's all that happens. Get your "Canadian Mist" ready, because this is going to be a rough episode to get through! What did you think of Invasion Season 2 Episode 5, Pressure Points? Did you love it? Hate it? Did you really, really, really hate it? Let us know in the comments! Scream (1996) Oct 12, 2023

Show notes

The Salty Nerds revisit SCREAM (1996), the movie that revitalized the wanning Slasher genre of horror films, mixing in meta-awareness with tried-and-true horror tropes, and a healthy dose of Agatha Christie-style "whodunit" mystery. However, not ALL the Salty Nerds feel the same way about this movie that kicked off the SCREAM franchise, which stars Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, and was directed by legendary horror director Wes Craven. Their takes might surprise you! What is your SCREAM movie review? Did you love it? Hate it? Did you guess who the killer was? Let us know in the comments!

The Salty Nerds debate the merits of this "Ageing action" film, written and directed by Sylvester Stallone himself, and starring all his buddies like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Jason Statham, Steve Austin, Terry Crews, and Mickey Rourke.

Invasion Season 2 Episode 3 - They Ran Out Of Money! Sep 14, 2023

Show notes

This was supposed to be a big, epic episode in season 2 of Invasion where humanity fights back against the aliens, but it's pretty obvious the show just didn't have the budget for it. We get three storylines in this episode, called FIREWORKS, following Aneesha, Mitsuki, and Trevante. Unfortunately, only one of them is kind-of interesting, and it's painfully clear the writers of this show have no idea how nuclear weapons work. What is your Invasion Season 2 Episode 3 review? Did you hate it? Did you really, really hate it? Do you wonder why you're bothering to watch this show?
