The plaintiff rented an apartment from the defendant. After getting sick, the plaintiff had the apartment tested for mold and found out the place contained 30 times the mold that is safe for humans to breathe. The plaintiff claims he complained to the defendant but was ignored, so the plaintiff is suing for the mold test, moving costs, and a hotel room. The defendant alleges the mold issue is contrived, and the plaintiff is just trying to take advantage of him.

Then, the plaintiff and her ex-fiancé purchased a phone together and agreed to split the cost, but the plaintiff claims the defendant failed to pay his portion, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant insists he told the plaintiff she could have the phone back, but the plaintiff turned it off on him as retribution for the breakup.

Plus, t he plaintiff and her ex-husband purchased a motorcycle when they were together, but the defendant didn’t keep up with the maintenance and the engine cracked. Even though the defendant got the motorcycle after the divorce, the plaintiff claims she was stuck with the bill, so she is suing for the balance of the loan. The defendant insists the chain came off the motorcycle and broke, but the plaintiff wouldn’t call the insurance company because she was bitter about the divorce and wanted to get back at the defendant.

Gifting Gone Wrong Oct 19, 2023

The plaintiff says she’s known the defendants for years and loaned them money around the holidays. She claims they’re now taking advantage of her compassion by failing to repay her, so she’s suing them. The defendants say the plaintiff gave them the money as a Christmas gift and then turned around two years later and said it was a loan.

Then, the plaintiff says the defendant ran into her car while jogging, damaging the vehicle, and now won’t communicate with her. She had to spend money to repair the car, so she’s suing. The defendant claims the plaintiff hit him so hard he flipped in the air, and says it’s her fault. He is countersuing for the cost of an ambulance.

Burned by an Ex Oct 18, 2023

The plaintiff says the defendant is his ex-girlfriend. He claims she secretly opened up two credit cards and a loan using his line of credit and never repaid it, so he’s suing for what he’s owed. The defendant says they always had shared credit cards and denies she has any outstanding debt. She’s countersuing for a countertop the defendant burned while they lived together.

Then, the plaintiff says the defendant has been doing roofing work for her for 14 years, but he messed up the latest job. She claims there’s a leak in her kitchen and the defendant keeps giving her the royal runaround. She had to hire someone else, so she’s suing for what she paid. The defendant says the plaintiff has several roofs and he didn’t work on the one over the kitchen. He claims he explained it to her, but she won’t listen.

Then, the plaintiff says he bought a car from the defendant, but the guy scammed him and never gave him the vehicle after he paid for it in full. He’s suing for his money back. The defendant claims the plaintiff only paid off part of the car, plus he’s stuck paying storage fees. He denies owing anything.

Sale of a Sick Kitten Oct 16, 2023

The plaintiff says he purchased a Scottish fold kitten from the defendant, but he was sick with an aggressive immune virus and died. He says the cat’s death cause irreparable emotional and financial harm, so he’s suing. The defendant says she sold the plaintiff two healthy kittens, and claims one got sick months later. She’s countersuing for stress and aggravation.

Then, the plaintiff says she rented a room from the defendant, who she claims turned out to be a nut. She says the woman removed her food from the fridge and banged on her door so hard she had to call the cops. She’s suing for the cost of spoiled food and an unreturned security deposit. The defendant says she treated the plaintiff like a sister, and she’s suing her for unpaid rent.

Heartbroken Over a Lost Dog Oct 13, 2023

Badly Inked Deal Oct 12, 2023

The plaintiffs say the defendant is their neighbor. They claims she was supposed to sell some ink cartridges for them and give them a 30 percent cut. When they asked for the money, she claimed the cartridges were a gift. They’re suing for what she owes them. The defendant says one of the plaintiffs said they were gifts and only asked for money when they saw the ink on eBay. She’s countersuing for all she’s out.

Then, the plaintiff and defendant are neighbors. The plaintiff claims branches from his neighbor’s gigantic, untrimmed tree hang over his garage, blocking the drains and ruining the roof. He’s suing for the cost of a new roof. The defendant says it’s impossible to determine that his tree is the problem. He says he won’t pay for the roof.

Failing the Family Oct 11, 2023

The plaintiff says the defendant is her stepdaughter, who she bailed out financially. The plaintiff claims she’s never been reimbursed, and family or no family, she’s suing for her money back. The defendant says she doesn’t like the plaintiff and claims she was repaying in installments, but then her stepmom asked for the loan in full.

Then, the plaintiff says the defendant is her estranged husband. She claims he had her and her son arrested, claiming they were threatening him. She says when she got out of jail, all her belongings were gone, along with $1,800 in cash. She’s suing him for the items. The defendant claims the plaintiff is making it all up.

Vexing and Ex Oct 10, 2023

The plaintiff says she and the defendant split up after nine years because he was cheating on her. She claims he stole landscaping equipment, so she’s suing him for the value. The defendant denies he took anything and claims his ex is just trying to make life rough for him and his new wife.

Then, the plaintiffs say the defendants co-own a boat, and the defendants did repairs on it. They say one of the defendants put a stop payment on the check, and now they aren’t getting paid, so they’re suing for the outstanding bill. The defendants say they just brought the boat in to be checked out but claim they never authorized any repairs, so they won’t pay up.

Say Neigh to This Deal Oct 09, 2023

The plaintiff says the defendant conspired with his ex-wife to come on his property and steal his horse from his ranch. He’s suing for what he’s owed. The defendant says she and the plaintiff had a deal — use of her semi-retired horse in exchange for free boarding for her other horse. She claims he was abusing the older horse, so she rescued her. She’s countersuing for money she’s now out.

Then, the plaintiff says he hired the defendant to do some minor engine work, but the man ended up destroying it. He’s suing for the amount it will cost him to get a new motor. The defendant says he worked on the engine and told the plaintiff there was an issue because it had 300,000 miles on it.
