Show notes

This week, Daniel Howat & Danilo Castro are joining me for our main podcast review, "F9," starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, John Cena & Jordana Brewster. It is the ninth film in what has now become known as The Fast Saga. What do you think of it compared to the others, and how do we feel about the franchise's future? We discuss heavy spoilers in this review, so listen with caution if you haven't seen the film already. Just remember, this franchise doesn't need our approval; it's got family. So kick back, pop open a Corona and enjoy!

THIS IS A PREVIEW PODCAST. NOT THE FULL REVIEW. Please check out the full review on our Patreon Page by subscribing over at - https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPicture

Our 2013 retrospective is continuing with Spike Jonze's Oscar-winning film "Her," starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Olivia Wilde, Chris Pratt and the incredible voice talent of Scarlett Johansson. Set in the not too distant future, the film explores relationships, depression, loneliness, and humanity's connection (or lack thereof) with one another as it relates to our ever-growing dependence on technology. There's a lot to talk about with this one, and to join me in this discussion, I have Nicole Ackman, Dan Bayer, Josh Parham, Lauren LaMagna, and guest Joe Lorenzini. Take a listen as we discuss the film's themes, its crafts, performances, Oscar awards season run, and more! Enjoy! You can also check out our previous 2013 retrospective reviews of "Captain Phillips," "Philomena," "The Wolf Of Wall Street," & "The Great Gatsby" if you have not done so already.
