    Show notes

Join me for this two part session as we look at building a Social Media strategy that gets results, and help you to understand what goes into a strategy with purpose - one that helps you to reach goals, rather than just further filling your time.

The strategy I’m going to share will work every time… IF you put the effort and work in. I’m going to share with you how to break down the process; looking at two key components over these two episodes.

We’ll talk what’s going on behind the scenes, business goals, being proactive vs reactive, the 80-20 rule, research, dream customers and the algorithm. Tune on in and make sure you’ve subscribed so that you don’t miss part two next week!

EP 147: How to be more resilient Jan 11, 2023
    Show notes

What impact does the way we think have on the way we act, react and ‘the way things simply are’.... AND what changes could we then create if we could adjust the way we think? What if we could change the way we think to see obstacles as opportunity, and where problems arise, see them instead as possibilities?

Let’s stop asking ‘what if’ and start exploring those changes we CAN make. I’m so honoured and blessed to have Stacey Copas, dubbed as ‘Queen of Resilience’ join us in this episode as we explore resilience, perspective and being in the moment.

A truly inspiring person, Stacey has used her life experience and personal philosophies to work with individuals and organisations who want themselves and their people to be more engaged, resilient and productive so that they can grow through uncertainty and change. A keynote speaker, author and coach that has never been deterred from succeeding, Stacey helps people shift their perspective and uses a framework that she reverse engineered to turn things around when things don’t go to plan.

Tune into this episode as Stacey helps us to alter the way we think; differentiating perseverance and resilience, discussing perspective and personal responsibility as tools to overcome challenges, using gratitude as a tool for building resilience, and the power of bringing ourselves back into the moment.

    We’ll be talking about:

    ➡ [00:00] Introduction

    ➡ [04:00] A short story about Stacey

    ➡ [13:20] Resilience is…

➡ [10:08] Being grateful and being resilient

➡ [16:59] Finding a way to be grateful

➡ [22:13] The peeling an onion experience

➡ [23:35] How we describe the situation is how we experience the situation

    ➡ [28:02] Personal responsibility

➡ [32:48] Learning how to be grateful in difficult times

➡ [37:26] Just feel it, in that moment

    ➡ [39:57] Are you resilient?

    ➡ [42:38] Try this out

    ➡ [55:30] Stacey’s dream superpower

    ➡ [57:20] Stacey’s favourite quote

➡ [57:49] Stacey’s advice to her past self

    ➡ [1:00:13] Final thoughts

    About our Guest:

Stacey Copas, Author of “How To Be Resilient”, is a must have resource for any organisation wanting to help their people transition from the pandemic to the new economy and new way of living. Stacey has worked with large organisations such as Flight Centre, GM Holden and Viacom, helping their people to be more engaged, resilient and productive so that they can grow through uncertainty and change. Stacey has also been featured in national media including ABC, Financial Review and The Australian for her insights on resilience in the workplace.

With a “say yes and figure out how later” approach to life, Stacey has achieved some remarkable feats including starring in a movie with no acting experience, volunteering in Solomon Islands, competing at a national level in para-athletics after 22 years on the sidelines and running for parliament. In her spare time you are likely to find Stacey in the nearest patch of sunshine with a book recharging her solar powers.

EP 145: Give in - don’t give up, how to thrive and not just survive Dec 28, 2022
    Show notes

It’s a huge honour to have such an amazing and inspirational guest join the podcast this week in Rob Swymer. This episode takes a little bit of a different twist. This week we’re stepping slightly outside of the topics we usually explore.

I want to stop here with an important reminder heading into this episode: it’s okay to not be okay but don’t give up. Give in to help, to being vulnerable. Vulnerability is real, it is a strength. It’s okay to be who you are, in the place you are in…. Sometimes strength is acknowledging that you need help.

We’ve hit the end of another BIG year and now is an important time to remind you to fill your cup, do what makes your soul sing. Do something physical that you enjoy, take a moment to savour those special relationships, take care of YOU.

Rob joins us to share his growth mindset that drives his core principles: continuous learning, always improving and getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. He will share with us some super powerful messages around mindset and thriving in both business and life.

Extremely passionate and exceptional at communication, Rob has more than 40 years of sales experience, with a deep knowledge of building sales teams from the ground up while hitting revenue targets, and strong personal and professional networks.

Rob and Melissa currently live in Ponte Vedra, Florida and enjoy spending time together with their children and grandchildren, listening to live music, travelling, sports and the beach life.

    About our Guest:

Nancy is the founder and CEO of Jordan Essentials. Nancy leaned her roots and made her first product - a Lotion Bar. With a small inventory and a few props in hand, Nancy started on the craft show circuit. What unfolded was beyond anything she could've imagined. From the day she started the company in 2000, she dreamed of a mission and purpose larger than herself. Nancy was driven by her desire to help busy women earn an income while fulfilling other priorities in their lives.

Nancy’s products were repeatedly sold out! The demand was high, and there were many possibilities to consider. Nancy was anchored to her original dream of bringing others along on the journey, and she turned to my family and friends. Within six months, she ventured from craft shows to launching a Direct Selling company.

EP 142: 10 things that could put you in Facebook jail Dec 07, 2022
    Show notes

Sit down and tune in to this super quick and powerful episode, I’ll share with you 10 things to help you be more aware on Social Media… and keep you out of Facebook jail!

How would having your Facebook account suspended, or even deleted, affect you and your business? Let’s chat about being aware of the dos and don’ts, and what Facebook is looking for so that you can avoid bad practices and improve on your current strategies, all while maintaining Facebook ‘freedom’.

Landing in Facebook jail is not often the result of a human snooping around your feed, your messages or your posts. Generally, it is the result of artificial intelligence, bots/programs running in the background picking up on certain captions, phrases, words, etc. that they are looking for that may land you in trouble with the platform and indicate you’re going against its standards.

If you have an account with Facebook, by default, you have agreed to its use, and terms of service. If you choose not to abide by this and are not aware of what they are, you might find yourself in Facebook jail. So listen in for 10 quick tips to avoid being locked up… or out… of your Social Media accounts.

    We’ll be talking about:

    ➡ [0:00] Introduction

    ➡ [2:09] #1: Less shared content

    ➡ [3:20] #2: Incorrect tagging

➡ [4:31] #3:Copy and paste messages are a no no

    ➡ [5:05] #4: Don’t behave like a sneaky spammer

    ➡ [5:33] #5: Don’t friend request without genuine relationships

➡ [6:17] #6: Don’t add people in groups without their permission

➡ [7:02] #7: Being naive to how Facebook works

➡ [9:09] #8: Be careful what you say

    ➡ [12:05] #9: Over posting

    ➡ [13:44] #10. Don’t include non-compliant brand names in your page name

➡ [15:33] Bonus tip: Protect your business page
