The Context of White Supremacy hosts our seventh and final study session on the autobiography of Assata Shakur. Formerly JoAnne Chesimard, Shakur was a committed member of the Black Panther Party and the Black Liberation Army, convicted of killing New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster, an escaped felon, the first woman ever listed on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List, and a writer. She continues to generate controversy as 60 faculty and staff members at Marquette University have demanded that a mural depicting her likeness be reproduced. Last week's session detailed Assata's involvement with and scrutiny of the Black Panther Party. She provided profound discernment of how Whites exacerbated strife between black people, which helped suppress counter-racist efforts. She described the frenzied pace of the late 60's and early 70's where violence, deceit, drugs and Racists contaminated the environment and confounded one's ability to make sense. Angela King visits The Context of White Supremacy. Ms. King is deputy director for Life After Hate - a nonprofit consultancy and speakers bureau committed to inspiring compassion and forgiveness. Angela King joined the organization after early years of armed bank robbery, prison and skinhead membership. She alleges that she was befuddled as young person because her South Florida family and church communicated perplexing information about "sexual identity" and race. Despite her youthful offenses, she obtained an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies and is well compensated for giving keynote speeches and consulting. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We'll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. Former Rikers Island captive Kalief Browder committed suicide; he was tortured and caged for three years as a teen for allegedly stealing a backpack . He was never tried. A Louisiana federal judge ordered the release of the only remaining incarcerated member of the Angola 3, Alfred Woodfox. But a federal appeals court has denied his release. Meanwhile, two convicted White killers launched an elaborate, successful escape from a New York prison. A White female prison employee has been charged with aiding their jailbreak, and the felons apparently made time to post Racist notes while exiting. And Rachel Dolezal reveals that it's easier for Whites to pass as black, than for Black people to go for swim with whitefolks. She continues to be the center of outrage as 60 faculty and staff members at Marquette University have signed a petition demanding that a mural depicting her likeness be restored. Our previous session detailed the obstacles to her receiving a "fair" trial. Assata described how her aunt asked specific questions to expose the antiblack sentiment of White jurors.She disclosed how reading accurate information on attempted counter-racists like Nat Turner and race soldiers like George Washington fortified her #BlackSelfRespect and empowered her to oppose Racism. She referenced the shooting death of 10-year-old Clifford Glover and included a scathing indictment of "white allies" who work to control black people. Beryl Satter visits The Context of White Supremacy. Dr. Satter is a professor of history at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and her work was rewarded with a 2015 Guggenheim Grant. We'll examine her 2009 publication: Family Properties: Race, Real Estate and the Exploitation of Black Urban America. Ta-Nehisi Coates referenced this text in his prominently discussed analysis of why black people should be granted immense compensation for the terrorism Whites have subjected us to. Satter provides a comprehensive, blistering indictment of White real estate practices which restricted Chicago's black housing to horrendous areas with poor services and astronomical insurance rates. Black people were financially raped for the privilege of living in squalor; the Federal Housing Administration refused to issue home loans for black people. So White predators sold inferior housing to black people... after marking up the price as much as 100%. We'll see if Dr. Satter confirms N.D.B. Connolly's and Andrew Kahrl's assessment that Whites have become increasingly efficient as confiscating black property. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Admitted Racist Randy Blazak. Mr. Blazak is part of the Department of Sociology at Portland State College. His research areas include: juvenile delinquency, hate crimes, masculinity, racism, prisons, and constructions of whiteness. He's currently investigating the transitioning of white supremacist inmates back into the community after their release from incarceration. He recently published a blog post titled, "How B.B. King got me to stop being a racist." Blazak discusses being raised in the birthplace of the modern Klu Klux Klan - Stone Mountain, Georgia; he "grew up in a racist family, in a racist town, in a racist state, in a racist country." He alleges to being trained to fear black people, but artistic geniuses like B.B. King and Nina Simone helped him value black lives and acknowledge his own Racism. Social engineering and "de-genderization" were at maximum highs as Vanity Fair transformed Bruce Jenner to Kaitlyn. Thankfully, we were cautioned against equating "her" to Rosa Parks. While everyone kept up with the Kardashian posse, almost no one notice the White Terrorism against Kristina Fox and her black brother. These Chicagoans were stabbed, bludgeoned and called niggers by White brutes. Rap music may be to blame. White Mississippians would not be outdone. Senatobia High School superintendent and Suspected Race Soldier Jay Foster had arrest warrants issued for four black people who dared to applaud a graduating family member. Whether rite of passage or catastrophe, Whites salivate at the opportunity to molest black people. It was reported that out of a half billion dollars in aid money for Haitian earthquake survivors, only six houses were constructed. Whites at the Red Cross are accused of demonstrating a "pattern of careless mistakes, dishonesty." Formerly JoAnne Chesimard, Shakur was a dedicated member of the Black Panther Party and the Black Liberation Army, convicted of killing New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster, an escaped felon, the first woman placed on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List, and an author. She continues to inspire White angst as New Jersey Governor Chris Christie recently chided Pres. Obama's policy on Cuba: "The condition for which Cuba is able to join the rest of the civilized world must rest on the country's commitment to hand over every terrorist currently being harbored, starting with Joanne Chesimard." Last week's installment described Assata's pregnancy behind bars and the coordinated effort to deny her proper medical care. White prison officials intentionally aggravated her and verbalized their wishes for the child's death. Assata's aunt and attorney helped her gain access to a competent, caring black physician - who was also subjected to Racism. Keep an eye out for the influence of Christianity. Dr. Rasayon is a Behavioral Neuroscientist, Neuropsychologist, North Carolina A&T alumnus, author and father. We've explored his publications on previous broadcasts: Reality Check: A Manual for the Hue-Man Octahedron & The Mystery of Melanin as well as The Awakening: OMG The President Is Black. We conversed with Dr. Rasayon in the autumn of 2014. At that time, Tamir Rice, Freddie Gray and Walter Scott were alive, and there was at least a morsel of hope that White killers Darren Wilson and Daniel Pantaleo would be indicted. We'll get his view on what has unfolded over the past 8 months and if he think this looks like substantial movement towards the permanent elimination of White Supremacy. We'll also ask him about the reports of Whitefolks in general, and specifically at the FBI, fabricating expert, scientific analysis.
