We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS New Attorney General Loretta Lynch made international headlines with indictments against governing soccer body FIFA for an expansive "$150 million bribery and racketeering scheme." Of course, accused black people - like "Trinidad Jack" Warner - were prominently showcased. Lynch has also been a crucial voice in wrangling over the Patriot Act's pending expiration. President Obama encourages reform, The New York Times' editorial board wants the provisions trashed, and Reihan Salam reminds us that "a lot of those Patriot Act powers are permanent." Conintelpro proves that laws and permission don't prohibit White surveillance. Speaking of Pres. Obama, a Pennsylvania newspaper expressed shame for publishing an editorial calling for the execution of the non-white commander in chief. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our 4th installment on the autobiography of Assata Shakur. Formerly JoAnne Chesimard, Shakur was an active member of the Black Panther Party and the Black Liberation Army, convicted of killing New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster, an escaped felon, the first woman ever listed on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List, and an author. She remains the focus of controversy as a Marquette University mural depicting her was derided and removed this week. Our previous session revealed Assata's youthful hijinks as she ran away from home as a young teen. Thankfully, her immature decision-making didn't carry a heavy penalty; she made it back to her mom safely. She continued to describe her inhumane experience in greater confinement and how the other black prisoners had been groomed to think of her as a hulking, black super predator. The toxin of Racism contaminated her relationship with her attorney and aunt, Evelyn Williams; the latter eventually discontinued legal representation of her niece. And we got a brief jailhouse romance between she and Kamau. Keep an eye out for the influence of Christianity. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Memorial Day Weekend commenced with tempered optimism in Baltimore, Maryland as six enforcement officers were indicted for the death of Freddie Gray. Half of the accused officers are black, and a black officer (Caesar Goodson Jr.) is facing the most severe charge - second-degree "depraved heart" murder. Cleveland, Ohio residents salivate over a possible return to the NBA Finals while simultaneously preparing for potential melees in response to the Michael Brelo verdict; Brelo is the lone Cleveland officer facing criminal charges for a 2012 shooting that left two unarmed black people dead and at least 137 shots fired. Ferguson smoldered in response to Michael Brown Jr.'s killing, there's been far less attention and rage for the alleged horrors of Homer G. Phillips Hospital. Black St. Louis mothers charge that they were given false information that their children died during the delivery process only for their babies to be stolen and sold. And in other news, let Jesse Lee Peterson know that Google is Racist and President Obama resides in the Nigger House. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 3rd study session on the autobiography of Assata Shakur. Formerly JoAnne Chesimard, Shakur is a veteran of the Black Panther Party and the Black Liberation Army, the convicted killer of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster, an escaped felon, the first woman ever placed on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List, and a writer. The diplomatic talks to upgrade the United State's ties with Cuba have prompted speculation about the chance of Shakur's extradition. Last week's installment featured an epic moment of self-reflection when Shakur recalls the verbal abuse black children heaped on each other; adding "Black" to any insult intensified the damage. As a child she was captivated by television and adored Elvis Presley. Later on during her New Jersey confinement, she was isolated from other inmates and denied access to appropriate medical care. Even while incarcerated, Assata models the conduct of a professional counter-racist soldier. She methodically selects the best course of action for her given circumstances. At times she's silent. At times she's counter-violent. Keep an eye out for the influence of Christianity. She habitually utilizes her lunch breaks on the plantation to make sense of the pathology of her White co-workers and her toxic office environment. We thought it would be constructive to have an occasional brief midday broadcast, so that listeners can tune in early and perhaps listen while on the plantation. We also hope this will provide better access for listeners who are not usually able to participate in our live program. We'll discuss current events and counter-racist matters of interest to our audience. Dr. Allan Johnson visits The Context of White Supremacy. Dr. Johnson is a White man and a former educator at Wesleyan University and Hartford College for Woman. He's written several fiction and non-fiction texts including: Privilege, Power, and Difference and Not From Here. Much of his writing and commentary concerns "White Privilege." Similar to MacArthur Genius grant recipient Jennifer Eberhardt, Dr. Johnson suggests that the problem is that too many "well meaning," "good" Whitefolks are unwittingly racist. Gus hopes to examine this framework for dissecting White Supremacy, as he maintains that White people cannot be ignorant about Racism. Gus thinks a listener may have seen Dr. Johnson in person. Whites mused over the 11 adults and children who were killed and the dozens of black houses burned to the ground. No one was criminally charged for this catastrophe, and this week it was announced that no one would be charged for the police killing of Tony Robinson in Wisconsin. Abrupt disciplinary action was taken against New Jersey public school teacher Marilyn Zuniga; she was terminated for allowing her 3rd grade students to write "get well" cards to journalist and convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. In another prison news, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was sentenced to the death penalty; perhaps this impacted some of our listeners thoughts on whether or not the convicted bomber is accepted as White. And Chicago had a bit of it all: An announcement of millions in reparations for black victims of Chicago Police Terrorism. As President Obama labors to improve relations with Cuba, Shakur's extradition has remained a key talking point. Last week's segment began with Shakur recounting being shot, shackled and tortured by cops who bragged about being Racist while calling her nigger. She believed Whites manipulated a black nurse to ask her for information while she was in her hospital bed. Shakur remained quiet, codified. She stressed that her black grandparents and demanded #BlackSelfRespect - which nourished her dedication to countering Racism. Poignantly, Assata recalls the warmth and love of her mother telling her that she made her proud. We'll keep an eye out for the influence of Christianity. The C.O.W.S. Gus Visits Jesse Lee Peterson May 13, 2015

Gus T. Renegade penned an essay for Atlanta Blackstar asking if black people are too quick to forgive Whites. Dr. Frances Cress Welsing was the root of this document - she discussed this matter in detail during her April 2015 visit. Mr. Peterson invited Gus to his program to converse about the article. With reservation, Gus accepted. There turned out to be no cause for apprehension. We discussed the mythology of black rapists, Suspected Rapist Daniel Holtzclaw and entertained a few callers. Mr. Peterson disclosed that his White producer, James Anton Hake, says nigger often. James Anton Hake eventually came on air to confirm his Racist speech habits. Gus really should have emphasized the significance of this White man "producing" the Jesse Lee Peterson Radio Show. Black Mother's like Samaria Rice ponder the meaning of such a holiday as an attempted black parent under White Terrorism; it's been almost a year since Timothy Loehmann killed her child, Tamir Rice, was killed, and this week it was reported that she's moved into a homeless shelter. Speaking of dead black sons, Michael Brown, Jr. isn't the only child to be mistreated in metro St. Louis; The Washington Post reported that Homer G. Phillips Hospital is facing allegations of illegally trafficking black children - and falsely telling black mothers that their children are dead. Floyd Mayweather, Jr.'s boxing triumph earned him almost as much loot as Darren Wilson. But Mayweather's still a nigger.
