The Context of White Supremacy hosts the fifth study session on Stephen Kantrowitz's, Ben Tillman And The Reconstruction of White Supremacy. Benjamin "Pitchfork" Tillman is one of South Carolina's most celebrated sons. He's a former governor, US senator, co-founder of Clemson University and Winthrop University, and an unabashed antiblack terrorist. He reminisced about the blood on his hands from the murder and torture of black citizens and inspired White Supremacist legal codes across the country. The June 17th Terrorist assault on Mother Emanuel A.M.E. placed South Carolina under immense scrutiny. On July 17th, Clemson released an official statement on Tillman that read in part: "FOR SOME MEMBERS of our university family Benjamin TillmanÃ¢??s legacy included not only contributions to Clemson University but also oppression, terror and hate." The shrines to Tillman on the campuses of Clemson and Winthrop and at the South Carolina capitol remain. Last week's session detailed various grievances that Whites had amongst themselves. Rich Whites squabbled with poor Whites on a variety of issues, but domination of Negroes remained unquestioned.This is the South Carolina heritage that gave birth to Dylann Roof. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We'll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Alabama's removal of the Confederate battle flag did not save the black lives of Anthony Ware or Kindra Darnell Chapman. In a manner yet to be determined, Ware died in police custody after being pepper sprayed and arrested. Some of the Tuscaloosa officers were wearing body cameras, but they failed to record significant moments of Ware's detainment. Chapman, 18, was arrested for taking a cellphone. She reportedly hung herself within hours of being booked. Chapman's death was simultaneous with the similarly reported death of Sandra Bland. Texas officers arrested Bland, who promptly reported concerns for her safety and officer abuse. Shortly there after, she is alleged to have hung herself. One of the involved officers, Sheriff Glenn Smith, was previously fired from a Texas police department amid accusations of Racism. President Barack Obama became the first sitting president to tour a federal prison; at an NAACP convention this week, he echoed that, "African Americans are more likely to be arrested. They are more likely to be sentenced to more time for the same crime... [and] around one in nine African American kids has a parent in prison." The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 4th study session on Stephen Kantrowitz's, Ben Tillman And The Reconstruction of White Supremacy. Benjamin "Pitchfork" Tillman is one of South Carolina's most distinguished sons. He's a former governor, US senator, co-founder of Clemson University and Winthrop University, and a brazen antiblack terrorist. He reminisced about his involvement in the murder and torture of black citizens and inspired White Supremacist legal codes across the country. The Associated Press reported, "South Carolina House Speaker Jay Lucas... won't allow the debate that brought down the Confederate flag to extend to any other public property." This includes Tillman's monuments at the South Carolina capitol, Clemson, and Winthrop, which remain defended symbols of White Terrorism. Last week's session detailed the Hamburg Massacre of 1976. At least six black citizens and a white man were killed in an rehearsed campaign of White savagery and intimidation. Dr. Chenjerai Kumanyika visits The Context of White Supremacy. Dr. Kumanyika is an artist, scholar and assistant professor in Clemson University's department of communication studies. He also holds a professorship in the College of Architecture, Art and Humanities. He recently articulated his participation at a Charleston vigil for the victims of the Mother Emanuel A.M.E. church. The congregation was asked to take the hand of the person standing next to him. He was seated next to a White woman and couldn't bring himself to extend a hand. He described being unable to shake the feeling that: "When black people and white people clasped hands in the arena that night, the comfort wouldn't be evenly distributed. The healing wouldn't flow both ways." We're anxious to hear his thoughts on the removal of the Confederate flag as well as how South Carolina has evolved in the month since Charleston shooting. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Laurie Essig, Ph.D. Professor Essig researches sociology and gender studies at Middlebury College. She's wrote American Plastic: Boob Jobs, Credit Cards, and Our Quest for Perfection. Essay is also a contributing writer for Psychology Today, where a significant number of her pieces explores White Supremacy. We'll examine her recent essay on the Charleston massacre, "Dylann Roof Is White Like Me." She encourages White people to own Dylann Roof as one of their kindred, an inevitable product of white culture. Professor Essig also wrote about the torpedoed wedding plans of Roof's White sister. It seems she might have an interesting thought on Rachel Dolezal as also. The verbal kerfuffle over Confederate monuments and White Supremacist memorabilia has received far more focus than the fact that Dylann Storm Roof should never have been allowed to purchase a firearm. Roof, Whitefolks are not exposed to the same scrutiny and punitive assumptions as Florida State's De'Andre Johnson. The star athlete was booted from the football team and arrested following an skirmish with a White Woman in a bar. The White chic allegedly called Johnson racial slurs, struck him in the groin and is seen on video assaulting the black male before he punches her. She will not been charged. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 3rd study session on Stephen Kantrowitz's, Ben Tillman And The Reconstruction of White Supremacy. Benjamin "Pitchfork" Tillman is one of South Carolina's most revered sons. He's a former governor, US senator, co-founder of Clemson University and Winthrop University, and a "noted white supremacist who unapologetically advocated lynching any black who tried to vote." He gloated about torturing black citizens and inspired White Supremacist legal codes across the country. The June 17th Terrorist assault on Mother Emanuel A.M.E. placed South Carolina under colossal scrutiny. This week, in what's being hailed a monumental victory, Governor Nikki Haley and the South Carolina legislature banished the Confederate flag from the Capitol grounds. Tillman's array of shrines remain untouched. Last week's session described the angst of White South Carolinians following their Civil War defeat. Men like Ben Tillman organized gun clubs to intimidate, harass and murder allegedly free black citizens. White Supremacists orchestrated an array of terrorist attacks - including the 1876 assassination of State Senator Benjamin F. Randolph. Even White people were harassed and killed for failure to champion black exploitation. This text will provide an accurate historical context for the production, deeds and predictability of Dylann Storm Roofs. The C.O.W.S. McKinney, Texas: White Women As Racist Instigators Jul 07, 2015

Andrew Guilford visits The Context of White Supremacy. Mr. Guilford is a Texas resident and a black male. He came to Gus' attention following a clash with the now infamous McKinney Police Department. He and his friend, Prezell Oliver, were thrown to ground and shackled by White enforcement officers. The Suspected Race Soldiers originally said that the two were under arrest, but ultimately no charges were filed. Officers defended their aggressive behavior based on the 9-11 call requesting their presence. "Police said a woman called claiming one of the men was going to shoot her and police." This mysterious woman is White and the alleged ex-girlfriend of one of the black males. Guilford claims that this White Woman came to their residence to "stir up trouble." We'll examine the central role of White Woman as Racist Instigators in this incident as well as the previous ruckus at a McKinney pool party. Dr. Lucy Michael and Dr. Fidele Mutwarasibo visit The Context of White Supremacy. Dr. Michael is an Admitted Racist. She's a sociology lecturer at the University of Ulster; her research focuses on race and ethnicity, minority experiences of crime and victimisation, and leadership around equality issues. Dr. Mutwarasibo was born in Rwanda and moved to Ireland in 1995. He earned a PhD in sociology, is a founding member of the Africa Centre, and a member of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission. He's conducted substantial research on immigrants' rights and racism against non-white people seeking refuge in Ireland. Dr. Lucy suggested we invite Dr. Mutwarasibo on the program. We'll examine her remarks from this year's European Network Against Racism (ENAR) conference, where she emphasized that "black and black African people experience the most racism."
