The Context of White Supremacy offers a concise word on Sylvester Stallone's juggernaut entertainment franchise, Rocky. Astoundingly, after nearly fifty years the "Italian Stallion" Rocky Balboa continues to pummel the box office with low quality films and a cartoonish rendition of boxing. Creed - directed by Ryan Cooler and starring Michael B. Jordan, was released this month and features a geriatric Rocky training Apollo Creed's illegitimate black son - black people gotta be derelict and misbegotten. We've discussed the importance of this franchise with a myriad of different guests over the years: Dr. Martin Kevorkian, Dr. John Hoberman and Khalid J. Patterson. White and non-white guests have deconstructed how these flicks were conceived to boost sagging White moral caused by the dominance of black athletes like Muhammad Ali, Serena Williams, Tiger Woods, Gabrielle Douglas and LeBron James. They didn't get to see Floyd Mayweather lose, but they still got Rocky. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Whites in Waller County, Texas celebrated Christmas by announcing that there would be no indictments for the suspicious death of Sandra Bland earlier this year. The Suspected Race Soldier who arrested Bland, Brian Encinia, might still be charged (don't count on it). The Bland family said the news devastated the family as they attempt to support one another through the holidays. Black Lives Matter protesters in Minnesota disrupted profits and Yuletide cheer by protesting at Mall of American and a neighboring airport. Marchers continue to call attention to the shooting death of Jamar Clark. Georgia State University associate professor Joe Perry published a fascinating report explaining how Christmas rituals fit nicely with the Adolf Hitler's Nazi propaganda. Perry wrote that German women played a critical role: "The German mother could use Christmas to Ã¢??bring the spirit of the German home back to life.Ã¢?? The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 3rd study session on Edward Baptist's 2014 publication, The Half Has Never Been Told: Slavery And The Making Of American Capitalism. Baptist, a White Man, constructed this book to center the enslavement and mutilation of black bodies as the foundation and central economic enterprise of America. He contends that the torture and forced labor of black people was not an inefficient industrial system, nor would it have come to a natural conclusion on its own. The book chapters are named after body parts to emphasize how the White slave system represented total war on black bodies. The Economist pilloried the book, charged that "Mr Baptist has not written an objective history of slavery. Almost all the blacks in his book are victims, almost all the whites villains." They eventually apologized and retracted their review. Last week's session emphasized the common, ritual rape of black people that remains an essential component of the White Supremacy system. The C.O.W.S. Tanzila Ahmed: "Why I Don't Date White Men" Dec 22, 2015

Activist, storyteller and politico Tanzila Ahmed visits The Context of White Supremacy. Ms. Ahmed is a non-white female Los Angeles resident who hosts the #GoodMuslimBadMuslim podcast. You can peruse her monthly installments on the Radical Love column. She organizes with Bay Area Solidarity Summer and South Asians For Justice (Los Angeles). This past summer she wrote an awesome piece titled, "Why I Don't Date White Men." Ms. Ahmed states explicitly that her decision began as a political response to White Supremacy, but evolved to where she simply does not find White Men attractive. She shares personal details of former White boyfriends, and how those relationships reminded her of the ubiquitous power dynamics of Racism - White always dominates. The C.O.W.S. Christopher Everett: WILMINGTON ON FIRE Dec 21, 2015

Actor. author, director. filmmaker and writer Christopher Everett visits The Context of White Supremacy . Mr. Everett is a black male and a North Carolina native. He used his enormous skill to create his first feature-length documentary, Wilmington On Fire. The project investigates the November 10, 1898 coordinated White Terrorist assault on the port city of Wilmington, North Carolina. Black Wilmingtons created a thriving area and were doing considerably well for themselves only thirty years removed from the Civil War. Whites seethed at the thought of "successful" negroes, and White mobs in conjunction with the North Carolina Democratic Party slaughtered countless black citizens; Whites then forced the remaining blacks to leave town. This event is considered a catalyst for extensive White Terrorism throughout the region and was used to loot a gargantuan amount of black owned property. Listeners should remember the work of author and former C.O.W.S. guest Elliot Jaspin. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our monthly Global Sunday Talk On Racism. This program is engineered to encourage participation from Victims of Racisms beyond the United States and/or non-white people who are unable to dial-in during our typical broadcast time. Our November broadcast was just days after the reported terrorist attacks in Paris, France. Many of our international listeners in Europe provided astute observations and predictions on how these events would be used to reinforce White Supremacy. We're eager to hear views thirty days after the slaughter. We'll also investigate the international outlook on the presidential candidacy of Donald Trump; Dr. Frances Cress Welsing predicts he will be the next person to occupy the White House. We also hope to process German Chancellor Angela Merkel being awarded TIME's Person of the Year. Many White Germans have enthusiastically chided her for welcoming too many non-white "refugees." We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS It's probably expecting too much to have consecutive weeks of enforcement officers being convicted of mauling black people. A week after Daniel Holtzclaw was found guilty in Oklahoma, the first of six trials against the Baltimore, Maryland officers accused of killing Freddie Gray concluded in a mistrial. There's no indication on when - or if - a re-trial will be scheduled or how this will influence the five remaining trials. In Chicago, Illinois Suspected Race Soldier Jason Van Dyke was indicted for the murder of 17-year-old Laquan MacDonald; he'll be arraigned later this month. Whites are offering heaps of rhetoric about improving the criminal justice system as a result of these cases; in New York they agreed to reform the practice of solitary confinement - they did not commit to eliminating this custom. Beyond their highfalutin words, pathological White patterns and practices remain. A Northern California prison was indicted for an "entrenched culture" of Racism and violence that one victim described as having a "KKK... feeling". On a good note, Serena Williams was branded the 2015 Sportsperson of the Year by Sports Illustrated. Many White Supremacists were disgusted that the black tennis titan won the award over a horse. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the second study session on Edward Baptist's 2014 publication, The Half Has Never Been Told: Slavery And The Making Of American Capitalism. Baptist, a White Man, wrote this book to center the enslavement and torture of black bodies as the foundation and central economic enterprise of America. He contends that the shackling and forced labor of black people was not an inefficient industrial system nor would it have come to a natural conclusion on its own. The Economist delivered a stinging review of the text, charged that "Mr Baptist has not written an objective history of slavery. Almost all the blacks in his book are victims, almost all the whites villains." They ultimately apologized and withdrew their review. Last week's installment detailed how slavery is regularly diluted and distanced from the methodical cruelty against black people it rewarded. The C.O.W.S. Gwen Ragsdale: Peculiar Relationships Dec 14, 2015

Gwen Ragsdale returns to The Context of White Supremacy. Mrs. Ragsdale and her husband created the Lest We Forget Black Holocaust Slavery Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The museum is dedicated to making certain that the legacy of slavery be told accurately and to increase awareness of the impact of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. In addition to producing an award-winning documentary film (My Slave Sister, Myself), Mrs. Ragsdale wrote a novel covering the historical relationship between black females and White Women, Peculiar Relationships. The fictional account extends from the plantation era of slavery to modern times. There are several representations of well-intentioned, "good" White Women alongside cruel, despotic damsels. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS In a verdict that contradicts the totality of White culture and U.S. history, fired police officer Daniel Holtzclaw was convicted on 18 of 36 counts of sexual terrorism against more than a dozen black females in Oklahoma City. He was found guilty on four of six first-degree rape counts, and the all white jury recommended nearly 3 centuries of prison time. He'll be sentenced on January 21st. While black females struggle to safegaurd their bodies and lives, Abigail Fisher, a White Woman, continues her assault on "affirmative action" at the Supreme Court. This is the second time the highest court in the land is adjudicating this case. Justice Antonin Scalia suggested that black scholars avoid high caliber academic institutions and stick to a slower, "less-advanced school," more accommodating to puny negro intellect. Speaking of institutions to avoid, Charleston, South Carolina's Citadel has again been accused of Racism. Nearly a dozen White students wore "costumes" resembling the Klu Klux Klan. There are calls for the school's president to resign and for federal funding to be withdrawn.
