148 | All Vibes Welcome: Discussing Spiritual Gaslighting Jun 30, 2020
    Show notes

In this episode we discuss Spiritual Gaslighting/Bypassing. Spiritual bypassing is a tendency to use spiritual ideas and practices to sidestep or avoid facing unresolved emotional issues, psychological wounds and unfinished developmental tasks. We discuss the signs + types of spiritual bypassing and the ways to protect yourself from spiritual bypassing. It’s important to remind ourselves that we are whole, complex human beings having a nuanced experience. Our existence isn’t limited to “good vibes only.” Some days we exist in the contrast, other days we’re optimistic- both are welcome along our journey of growth and evolution.

Due to the current climate, we thought it was fitting to run back this conversation.

In this episode we sat down with Psychiatrist Jessica Clemons, affectionately known as Dr. Jess to discuss mental health and wellness. “Dr. Jess received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and is currently completing her residency training at an NYC based program.
