    #31: When Running Sucks Mar 09, 2017
    Show notes

Welcome to Episode 31 of The BibRave Podcast!

OK, real talk here - sometimes running just sucks. It's a sport we all love, but one we also seem to struggle so mightily to continue practicing. We can't tell you how many times we've tried to talk ourselves out of a run, mainly because it's pretty much every run 🙃. So how can something we love so much be so difficult to keep doing? Tim and Julia discuss!

Then they talk about, strangely, podcasts! Tim and Julia talk about what podcasts they listen to, what they look for in a podcast and what makes the good ones good. If you've got a podcast to suggest, hit us up at one of the social links below - we'd love to hear it!

    Show notes

Welcome to Episode 30 of The BibRave Podcast!

Tim and Julia give their race-recaps from the Disney Princess Half Marathon which they ran as part of the Running USA industry conference in Orlando. Last week there were some mixed feelings about Disney races, so we have some updates there 😉.

Then they bring people behind the scenes of the running industry, discussing their time at the Running USA conference. Some of the notable trends and characteristics emerge, and both left the conference even more excited about the prospects of U.S. road running.

    #29: What's So Great About Disney? Feb 24, 2017
    Show notes

Hey! Welcome back, glad to have you with us for Episode 29 of The BibRave Podcast! Tim, Julia, and Jessica are headed to run the Disney Princess Half Marathon as part of the Running USA industry conference in Orlando, and there are mixed feelings in the group.

Jessica is a HUGE Disney fan, Tim could take it or leave it, and Julia is pretty uncertain of what to expect and whether or not she'll like the whole Disney experience. So Jessica guides us through a Disney race weekend experience, sharing her tips one what to do and what not to do.

Along the same lines, we end the show by talking about "Runcations" vs "Racecations," how both can be great but that each needs to be planned with different priorities in mind.

#28: You've Never Lifted like This Before Feb 17, 2017
    Show notes

In this week's episode of The BibRave Podcast, Tim and Julia welcome Dr. Joshua Russell to discuss a totally new and fascinating fitness development called Adaptive Resistance Training, or ARX.

This is a strength workout, unlike anything we’ve ever tried, using a highly advanced computer processor and motor instead of weights. For all the runners who say they KNOW they should strength train but don’t have the time, this should be very interesting.

Tim and Julia recently tried the ARX, and they talk with Dr. Russell about the ARX machine and the benefits of high-intensity training, as well as how both could be extremely valuable to runners looking to dodge the injury bug.

    Show notes

Happy Friday! This week's episode of The BibRave Podcast is here for your ears! On Episode 27, Tim and Julia chat about a recent track Half Marathon they both ran. Yup - 52.5 laps, in the rain and cold, and it was awesome (at least Tim thought so. Julia however...).

Then they move to their second favorite subject, food! Tim and Julia talk about foods they are willing to spend more money on for quality, some of the differences between high/low quality foods, and they close with a bunch of useful takeaways on how they shop, plan their meals, and set themselves up to make good decisions. As often as possible... 😇

    #25: What's a Run Concierge? Jan 26, 2017
    Show notes

This week's episode of The BibRave Podcast is here for your listening pleasure! On this episode, Tim and Julia welcome RunWESTIN Concierge and overall great guy, Chris Heuisler! Chris has been a longtime friend of BibRave, and not only has very impressive running chops (RRCA-certified running coach, almost 30 marathons en route to one in all 50 states, etc.), but his thoughtful and incisive view of the running industry, as a Run Concierge, is really why they wanted to have him on the show.

What exactly is a Run Concierge? In short, Chris travels to various races throughout the country and helps runners navigate the race weekend - offering advice on everything from getting to the start, to racing strategy, to noting historic points on the course they should not miss. He’s seen many different types of runners and running trends, so it was great to get his take on the running world.
