#42: Over the Top! With Matt Davis, Obstacle Racing Media May 26, 2017
    Show notes

Tim chats with (and is interviewed by) Obstacle Racing Media Co-Founder Matt Davis. Tim and Matt discuss both sides of running - the Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) and the more traditional road and trail races, diving into what makes each side appealing and exciting. Matt also asks a lot of questions about Tim’s personal background, leading to some interesting new discussion around how BibRave got started and what Tim was doing beforehand.

If you’ve ever considered an OCR event, or have wondered what they’re all about, you should enjoy this episode. We also hope you dig the shake-up with Tim as both interviewer and interviewee!

Tim, Julia, and Kevin discuss everything from Kevin's life before Nuun all the way up to his involvement with the Clean Sport Collective - an organization dedicated to athletes and athletics free from performance enhancing drugs. #40: Ice Baths - Bad? Inflammation - Good? May 11, 2017
    Show notes

Dr. David Harmon (aka Cholesterol Dave from Episode 34: Nutrition Confusion) joins the show again, and we discuss something extremely important for runners to understand: inflammation.

Dr. Harmon dispels several myths and misunderstandings about inflammation, describing what happens during inflammation and why it’s super important for performance benefits. That means, stopping inflammation through things like ice baths and ibuprofen? Probably counter productive if you want to keep those GAINS!

Anyway, another super interesting conversation and we hope you enjoy. We also filmed the recording via Facebook Live, so check it out if you want to see what everyone looks like! 😂

    #39: Who's Got Your Back? May 05, 2017
    Show notes

Tim and Julia welcome the founder of Race Guards (one of their favorite running/race organizations), Andy Voggenthaler!

Race Guards provide races with trained medical volunteers who operate in teams of two, running the entire length of the course and providing immediate medical care when needed. Andy started Race Guards after an incredible in-race emergency experience and he’s built an indispensable service to runners across the United States. The three of them also discuss some really important race-day medical and safety tips for us all to keep in mind.

This week, Tim and Julia host Jim Klopman, author of the book Balance is Power and creator of the SlackBlock (pictured above) and the SlackBow.

They also explore the idea that balance needs to come first, regardless of whether you're a runner, yogi, pilates pro, or weight lifter - for both physical and mental benefits.
