Ep. 325: Should You Get A Sleep Divorce From Your Partner? Oct 19, 2022
    Show notes

For those of us in relationships, sleeping in the same bed as your partner is expected. Separate beds or rooms seems like the telltale sign of “trouble in paradise” and a warning of imminent break up. Buuuut maybe you love the shit out of your partner, but don’t have much love for their snoring. Or maybe you tend to hog the covers, while your partner’s sleep-talking keeps you up all night. Could separate bedrooms solve it all? Sleep is important! And we don’t know about you, but when we’re cranky, we tend to lash out at our partners the most. Maybe a Sleep Divorce is just the thing to save your relationship from growing resentment.

Ep. 324: Should We Try to Be "Power Couples"? Oct 14, 2022
    Show notes

We’ve all put a couple we know up on a pedestal or labelled them as a “power couple” only for their relationship to come crashing down and everything we thought we knew got turned on its head—hey, that’s what happened to our marriages! There’s so much attention placed on “power couples” but is that even the kind of relationship dynamic we truly want? Maybe it is for you, and you do you! But in our experience, some “power couples” end up more of a business partnership than anything else. And we don’t know about you, but we’d like to keep spreadsheets out of the bedroom.

Ep. 323: Sharing Your "Body Count" Oct 13, 2022
    Show notes

If honestly is sharing everything with your partner, does that include the number of people you’ve slept with before the relationship? If it’s not relevant to the relationship now, we don’t think it needs to be told, and it doesn’t mean lying, either. There are some things that you just don’t need to know in this life, and it the knowledge of your partner’s “body count” hurts you, maybe it’s better not to share.

Does this affect the relationship now? [6:37]

    Honesty is inclusive [9:01]

The number of people you’ve slept with doesn’t matter [10:04]

Why does knowing the number matter? [14:00]

Ep. 319: Creating Conscious Leadership with Elizabeth Faye Sep 28, 2022
    Show notes

Whether we know it or not, every single one of us is a leader in some capacity. And with leadership comes a lot of responsibility. So many of us have been taught that leadership looks one specific way, but it’s no longer true. Leadership can be conscious, it can be purpose-driven, and it can just as divinely feminine as you are. All of the tools you need to lead are already inside you, are you ready to take charge?

Everyone is a leader in their own life [2:04]

Everything you need is already inside you [4:41]

    What is conscious leadership? [8:28]

Awareness and radical responsibility of your choices [9:51]

    Being purpose-driven [12:36]

The difference between masculine and feminine energy [16:58]

Living in alignment, following your gut [22:35]

    Care-giving yourself first [27:43]

    We are all inter-connected [32:44]

Things are starting to shift—for the better [35:32]

Being mindful about what you consume [37:33]

Try something new, you can always go back [39:37]

Ep. 318: Endless Resourcefulness Is Possible Sep 23, 2022
    Show notes

Feelings of scarcity happen to even the most abundant thinkers. But no matter how stuck we might feel, it’s important to remember that there’s an endless amount of resourcefulness inside all of us. Maybe it sounds a little woo-woo to you (we like to think of it as just a single “woo”) but our thoughts really do create our realities, and you can always choose to see life from another angle, dig deep inside yourself, and create new opportunities every day. Because it won’t truly be the Best Life, until you believe it is.

The endless resourcefulness inside all of us [6:26]

    Resourcefulness begets resourcefulness [11:39]

Have the belief that you CAN [13:43]

    We always have options [17:34]

Release the “how” and trust that it will be okay [19:48]

The fear of uncertainty is holding you back [23:57]

    Practice expecting the best [26:49]

    Scarcity is a choice [29:57]

    A story of 100 dollar bills [32:08]

Try looking from a new angle [36:35]

Surround yourself with people who think bigger [39:41]

Impatience is a form of scarcity [41:44]

    Ep. 317: A Quiet Quitting Epidemic Sep 21, 2022
    Show notes

Are you “Quiet Quitting” your job? There’s a “new” trend where people aren’t putting in extra effort at their desk jobs buuuut it doesn’t really seem new to us. If “quiet quitting” is what you call it, then we were quiet quitting over a decade ago before we became entrepreneurs. Working a desk job is often monotonous and thankless, and it’s not a simple thing to keep employees engaged. Not everyone is a go-getter, and maybe that’s okay. People have been phoning it in at their jobs for decades, so is this something we should all worry about?

    What is quiet quitting? [6:53]

Not everyone needs to feel fulfilled by their work [10:19]

People don’t have incentive to do more [14:11]

How to keep employees and contractors engaged [17:08]

    Engagement beyond salary [21:34]

At some point, money isn’t enough [26:20]

    Top-down leadership [31:59]

Ep. 316: Is the Coaching Industry a Scam? Sep 17, 2022
    Show notes

We’ve been coached and coached others countless times over our careers and lives and know just how powerful the right coach is. So you can imagine our shock when almost 70% of Jill’s Twitter audience claimed that the coaching industry is a scam. Look, there are good and bad coaches of every kind, but consumers aren’t stupid. No one is being forced to hire a coach they don’t trust, nor should you! Coaching can ignite your business or your life when done right, and doesn’t that sound amazing?

    Are coaches scammers? [2:03]

The world is better with more coaches [5:13]

    Coaching has no regulation [6:42]

No one is forcing consumers to invest if they don’t want to [9:06]

You can always ask for referrals [11:24]

Results matter way more than certifications [13:56]

Everyone needs coaching for different things [17:00]

Sell people what they want, give them what they need [19:39]

Mindset changes are a secondary benefit [23:53]

Talk to your customers, not your peers [26:18]

What’s a scam for you may not be for someone else [28:23]
