A.I. EP. 35: “Help Yourself to Some Coffee and Bars” - Drop Dead Gorgeous Sep 12, 2019

Show notes

It is the 20 year anniversary of the cult classic, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and we thought it would only be appropriate to get the gorgeous pageant winner, @AmberlyHall_, on the podcast to talk about this film with us!
Before we got to chatting with Amberly we discussed the latest movies we’ve seen, what we’re consuming streaming-style and our most recent favorite meals.
It was really fun having a pageant winner be able to discuss all of her hot takes on Drop Dead Gorgeous. We got some insight on how a pageant really goes down and we gave her some insight on all of the fun Minnesota references and inside jokes which turned out to be very entertaining.
Amberly was a great sport and played a movie game with us and also stuck around for our Top 5 Kirsten Dunst Films Draft. It was a ton of fun!
Enjoy!

A.I. EP.34: “Left Side STRONG SIDE” - Remember the Titans Sep 05, 2019

Show notes

We have some exciting news to share with you: FOOTBALL IS BACK! It’s the first week of the NFL regular season and we are so ready to watch some football.
To celebrate this glorious occasion we got Fantasy Football Podcaster/Retired MLB Pitcher @BradZiegler to talk about one of his favorite films, Remember The Titans!
Before we deep dive into Brad’s hot takes we chatted about the last films we’ve seen, what we’ve been streaming and our tastiest meals of late.
We definitely bugged Brad for some Fantasy Football tips and could have done an entire podcast on that...but we did get to his thoughts on this classic Denzel flick. You’re going to enjoy all of his awesome hot takes!
We ended with a couple of Imitation Games, one went better than the other. Hopefully you will find those entertaining! Brad was nice enough to stick around and talk about his favorite football films with us just for our Patrons!

A.I. EP 33: “Remember...You’re a Melon!” - Back to School Aug 29, 2019

Show notes

Back to School was a staple in both of our households so we thought it would only be appropriate to have Rob’s Dad back on the pod to chat about this Rodney Dangerfield classic!
We all talked about what movies we’ve seen recently, what we’re watching on the digital streaming services and our fave meals!
Fred Lundquist made his son watch Back to School a bunch as a kid and it’s been a favorite of his forever. We had such a great time reminiscing about this film!
We end this episode with a Blast From the Past Movie Game and then our Patrons get to hear us chat about who we each drafted for our Top 5 College Films!
Rob’s Dad is the best, so glad he came back onto the pod. Hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it!

A.I. EP. 32: Mean Girls - "You go Glen Coco" Aug 22, 2019

Show notes

It’s about that time for the kiddos to go back to back to school, so we thought since Mean Girls is celebrating it’s 15th year anniversary it would be a great excuse to chat about it! We brought back the lovely Jenika Marion and she brought along one of her besties and friends of the pod, Bethany Swartz! We had too much fun with these two.
Before we introduced these Nice Women we chatted about the latest movies we’ve seen, what we’ve been streaming and our most recent favorite meals.
Then we bring in the ladies to break down Mean Girls and so so so many laughs we’re had. Some real fun takes on this one.
We end with a new game that we stole from KFAN’s PowerTrip Morning Show that we’re calling The Imitation Game. There was a clear winner, you’ll want to hear how this went down.
Our Patrons get to hear our Favorite High School Movies Draft. It got a little heated in a few parts, but some fun discussion was had picking our fave high school films.
If you’re having to go back to school soon, good luck! If you’re a parent and your kids are finally going back to school and you can get a little peace and quiet, enjoy!

A.I. EP. 31: The Lion King (2019) Aug 15, 2019

Show notes

They remade one of Disney’s most highly regarded films so we thought it was only right to bring back some of our most highly regarded guests! We were so happy that our good friends Reilly and McKenzie from The Hound + The Fox wanted to chat with us about The Lion King.
If you weren’t aware, we made a cameo as Timon and Pumbaa In their cover of Can You Feel The Love Tonight (Link below in the show notes). Everyone agreed we should have them back on the pod to talk about The Lion King so everything would come back full circle...the Circle of Life, if you will.
This episode starts out with both of us discussing our most recently watched films, what we’ve been witnessing via streaming platforms and our favorite recent meals.
All 4 of us break this film down with some super hot takes, so hot they could start an uncontrollable fire on Pride Rock!
We end the episode with a brand new game that we have blatantly stolen from our favorite MN sports radio station KFAN, in particular the morning Power Trip show, called the Initials Game. We have renamed it The Imitation Game since we are completely copying their great idea.
Reilly and McKenzie agreed to stick around so our Patrons could enjoy a Top 5 Draft of our favorite animal films!

A.I. EP. 30: Spider-Man Far From Home Aug 08, 2019

Show notes

Now that we’re all done with our Inglorious Podcasts, we thought we’d do something very different for us and go back to talking about a Marvel film. (This is sarcasm because we covered every Marvel film before Endgame was released...it’s funnier when you explain your joke, right?)
We thought it would be in everyone’s best interest to bring back Reilly Zamber from @TheHoundTheFox to chat about the latest Spider-Man! He’s got some tasty takes since he is a Marvel Aficionado.
Before we introduce Reilly we start off the episode chatting about the last films we’ve seen, what we’re visually consuming on the streaming services and the most mouth-watering meals of late.
Then we break down Spider-Man: Far From Home in super in-depth fashion. You’re gonna want to hear all of these scorching hot takes.
We end the episode with our Blast From the Past Movie Trivia Game and Reilly sticks around for our Podcast and Chill version where we name our favorite vacation films! We decided to follow the All Fantasy Everything Podcast’s lead and draft our favorite vacation films team! It’s a bunch of fun and only our Patrons at www.patreon.com/theavidindoorsmen get to hear it! Join today!

Show notes

This episode starts off with us gabbing about the last movies we’ve seen, what we’ve been checking out on the streaming platforms and our most recent delicious meals.

We ended this one with a game we haven’t played for a while that we blatantly stole from Doug Benson’s movie podcast, Doug Loves Movies, called Last Man Stanton. We had a bunch of fun!

Show notes

You guys! We have made it to the penultimate episode of our Inglorious Podcasts! Thanks for sticking with us on this Tarantino journey!
We brought in a brand new guest on the pod but we’ve known him for a long time, our good buddy Max Felsheim! Both he and Buegs braved the harsh weather conditions to get this recorded. So glad they did because we had such a good time. Many laughs were shared on this one, you’re gonna love it.
Before we started chatting with Max we talked about the last movies we’ve seen, what we’re rocking out on the streaming platforms and our favorite meals of the week.
We broke down this dark, bloody film in hilarious fashion. Max brought the goods and his takes are gonna make you laugh out loud. We have even named a new segment after his suggestion!
This episode ends with a very competitive Blast From the Past Movie Game, and Max was good enough to stick around and talk about his Top 5 Favorite Kurt Russell Films. We switched things up on this one for our Patrons, you’ll have to join our Patreon campaign to check it out!

We start off this extremely entertaining episode by discussing the last films we saw, what we’ve been rocking out on the streaming platforms and our yummiest meals of the week.

We concluded this episode with our Blast From the Past Movie Game and our Patrons over at Patreon get to hear our Top 5 WWII films, which of course turned into a Top 10.
