A.I. EP. 25: Inglorious Podcasts - Death Proof
We are still plugging away at our Inglorious Podcasts series! We brought in a long-time friend and new guest to the pod, Galen Higgins! He was forced to watch Death Proof and chat about it with us and he did it in hilarious style!
We got a little chatty in the opening segment where we discussed the latest movies we’ve seen, what we’re streaming on the inter-webs and the tastiest meals we’ve had recently. We went on some serious tangents here, but we had a really fun time. Hoping you enjoy hearing the jibber-jabber journey.
We talked about Death Proof and had some surprising takes. It was all of our first times watching this film. You’ll have to listen to know what we thought!
This episode ends like most of them, we play our Blast From the Past Movie Game and then our Patrons over at www.patreon.com/theavidindoorsmen get to hear about our Top 5 Favorite Car Chase Scenes!
Enjoy!

Heatbox was nice enough to invite us over to his place to talk about the last movies we’ve watched, what we’re binging on the streaming platforms and our most recent delicious meals!
We had so much fun breaking down Kill Bill Vol. 2, we think you’re really going to enjoy the scorching hot takes we served up for your listening pleasure.
This episode is concluded with the three of us playing our Blast From the Past Movie Game! Also, Heatbox was nice enough to stick around to chat about our Top 5 Revenge Films that only our Patrons on Patreon are eligible to consume audibly.

A.I. EP. 23: Inglorious Podcasts - Kill Bill Vol. 1 Jun 20, 2019

Show notes

We had our first guest in the actual studio, aka Rob’s basement, Heatbox decided to come over and chat with us about Kill Bill Vol.1!
Heatbox lends us his musical talents while discussing the last movies we’ve seen, what we’re ingesting via streaming platforms and the tastiest meals of the week.
We then karate chop through our extremely hot takes of the first Kill Bill. We slice this movie down like Uma slices down all of her foes in this flick (spoiler alert). You can’t see our faces while we’re chatting, a lot like Bill himself in this one, and it’s still extremely effective.
This episode ends like most with a Blast From the Past Movie Trivia Game. Heatbox joins in on the fun and we just laughed and laughed! He stuck around for our Patrons to chat about the best movies with sword fighting scenes! It’s a hoot!

Show notes

We decided to take a break from our Inglorious Podcasts and have a special Father’s Day episode that features an Avid Indoorsmen father, the wonderful Fred Lundquist!!! Rob was pretty excited to have his Dad talk about one of his favorite films that they’ve seen dozens of times together, on the podcast. So much fun was had!
We started off this episode a little differently and had Fred join in on the last movies we’ve watched, what we’re watching on the streaming platforms and our recent favorite meals.
A blast was had by all while breaking down this beloved Bill Murray classic. You’d never know that this was Fred’s first podcast ever, he’s a natural!
We end the show with a fun little Blast From the Past Movie Game with Fred. He even stuck around to talk about our Top 5 Favorite Military Comedies that is only available on our Podcast & Chill version for our Patrons over at www.patreon.com/theavidindoorsmen

A.I. EP. 22: Inglorious Podcasts - Jackie Brown Jun 12, 2019

Show notes

As we keep trudging along on our journey to watch all of Quentin Tarantino’s movies, we’ve reached his 3rd written and directed film, Jackie Brown. Both of us had never seen this highly-rated flick so we’ll be breaking down Jackie Brown with fresh eyes.
Before we get into that we’ll start it off by chatting about the last movies we’ve ingested, what we’re streaming on the inter-webs and our most delicious meals of late.
Our first female-led Tarantino film features Pam Grier as well as Samuel L. Jackson in this crime thriller. We had fun talking about all the things we enjoyed and disliked on this one.
This episode ends with us playing our Blast From the Past Movie Game and then our Patrons get to hear us break down our Top 5 Favorite Films Featuring Flight Attendants.
Hope you all are enjoying our Inglorious Podcasts and have fun listening to us chat about Jackie Brown!

A.I. EP. 21: Inglorious Podcasts - Pulp Fiction Jun 06, 2019

Show notes

Since the 2nd Inglorious Podcast is arguably Quentin Tarantino’s best work, we knew that we had to spice things up on this one. So we brought back one of our favorite people on the planet and a huge lover of Pulp Fiction, Broadway Actor extraordinaire, Benny Elledge.
Before we get to “Tangent Tuesday” Benny, we list off what movies we’ve seen, what series finale we’re upset with and our most delicious meals of recent memory.
We break down Pulp Fiction with two people who grew up with this film and have quoted it most of their lives, and one person who had just seen it for the first time. It’s fun to hear all the different perspectives on this Hollywood Classic. We think you’re really gonna dig this one.
The episode concludes with our Blast From the Past Movie Game and our Patrons get to hear us rank our Top Hitmen movies.
Big Thank You to Benny Elledge, you can see him on the 5th episode of the 2nd season of Happy on SyFy. And if you’re in the NYC area go and check out our good pal on Broadway in the amazing musical, Waitress.
Enjoy!

A.I. EP. 20: Inglorious Podcasts - Reservoir Dogs May 30, 2019

Show notes

Quentin Tarantino is releasing a new movie at the end of July, so we decided to chat about every Tarantino-directed film in a new series we’re calling Inglorious Podcasts.
The first film we’re discussing is Tarantino’s impressive directorial debut, Reservoir Dogs. But before we give our sizzling hot takes, we talk about the last movies we’ve seen, what we’ve been consuming on the streaming platforms and the most delectable meals of late.
We break down all of the craziness that is Reservoir Dogs and hopefully your ears love what we have to say (and hopefully both are still in-tact after listening). The colorful characters and even more colorful language are just a few things we discuss in this first episode of Inglorious Podcasts.
We end the show with a little trivia game we like to play and our Patrons over at www.patreon.com/theavidindoorsmen get to hear an extended version where we break down the Top 5 Best Uses of Song in Films...spoiler we end up making it a Top 10.
Enjoy this new series as we take a look at the works of Quentin Tarantino.

A.I. EP. 19 - “I Love You 3000” - Avengers: Endgame May 16, 2019

Show notes

We haven’t seen each other in a while and we were so happy to assemble for the chatting of Avengers: Endgame. This is an epic episode, our longest to date. How could we not deep dive into this amazing movie?!?!?
We were a little chatty since it’s been so long since we podded. So bare with us during our intro of the last movies we’ve seen, what we’re rocking out on the streaming platforms and our favorite meals of late.
We are joined with Reilly Zamber from @TheHoundTheFox to help us break down this film. We had him on the Infinity War episode, and thought it was fitting to have him back for Endgame as well. We really dive into this one, buckle up!
This episode, like most of our episodes, ends with a Blast From the Past Movie Game! We missed some really easy ones, have fun cringing at the lack of our intelligence. For all of you Patrons, our extended version will have us rank all 22 Marvel films.
What an amazing ride going through all of these Marvel films. We hope you had fun with these, we’re so happy we recapped all of these films because it made Avengers: Endgame so much more special. Thanks for joining us on this incredible Marvel journey!

A.I. Ep. 18: "Stop Farting, Nancy" - The Conjuring May 01, 2019

Show notes

We’ve broken new ground and discussed our first horror film! This is not our favorite genre, but one of our favorite patrons, Efren Diaz, destroyed us in our Oscars game and chose this movie for us to review.
We start this episode off by chatting about the last movies we’ve seen, what we’ve been consuming on the streaming devices and our yummiest meals of the week!
The Conjuring definitely terrified the both of us and you can hear our horrifying hot takes on this frightening film.
We end this episode with our Blast From the Past Movie Game and we are confident that you will beat both of us...we’re not good at this game but we are gluttons for punishment.
