    033 Are You a CEO or a Concierge? Sep 05, 2022
    Show notes

Are you a CEO or a concierge of your business? If you're the CEO, you are in the driver's seat, taking responsibility and making crucial business decisions. In contrast, the concierge is constantly falling into the trap of giving out suggestions instead of coming up with solutions. Your clients want leadership from you, so stop giving them options and start providing solutions.

In this episode, we'll go through an important mindset shift that will help you step into aligned leadership, attract cooler opportunities and direct your business down the success path.

    What You'll Learn:

    - How to know if you are a CEO or a concierge of your business

    - How to take full control of your business

    - The mindset shift from concierge to CEO

    - How to escape people-pleasing mode

    - Why you need to stop giving your clients too many options

    - Are you managing or leading your clients?

    - Understand that no information is new - and that's a good thing

As an expert, you know the best ways to succeed in your field. Your clients come to you because you can get them results. However, you can't lead if all you care about is people-pleasing and what people expect from you. You are not a concierge and stop acting like one. Take control and lead your clients like the leader you are supposed to be.

032 How to Get Invited onto Your Favorite Podcast (and What NOT to Do!) Aug 29, 2022
    Show notes

One of the most effective ways to market your business, grow an audience, and expand your brand's reach is to be interviewed on other people's podcasts. The great thing about appearing on podcasts is that there are thousands of podcasts in all types of niches with ready-built audiences. So no matter your target audience, someone will have created a podcast about it.

In today's episode, I'll share some super practical insider information on how to consistently land podcast guest opportunities. I'll talk about the key steps to sending an irresistible pitch, finding podcasts that match, and generating free publicity for your brand.

    What You'll Learn:

    - Where to find podcast guest opportunities

    - How to find the right shows for your brand

    - Getting a sense of the size and following for your target podcasts

    - The key elements of an irresistible pitch

    - How to demonstrate your ability to deliver value

    - Why you need to position yourself as an authority figure in your niche

    - Do you need a large following to get on other people's podcasts?

    - The benefits of reciprocating the invite to the host after a successful interview

If you've tried to get on podcasts as a guest, you'll know that podcast hosts can be picky about the type of guests they have on their shows. They only want guests they believe will deliver value. The bigger the podcast, the more guest pitches it'll receive, so your pitch has to stand out; otherwise, it's going to get buried with all the rest.

027 4 Time Management Tips I Learned in the Startup World Jul 25, 2022
    Show notes

When I was working in the startup world, we were an incredibly small team who did a lot of work. Working 70 hours a week, including nights and weekends was not unusual for me. Now, this obviously wasn't a sustainable lifestyle for me, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. But it helped me get really good at time management. Tune in to learn the 4 time management tips I learned working in a busy startup environment that are guaranteed to help you become more productive and energy efficient.

    What You'll Learn:

    - Effective time management tips for busy professionals

    - The consequences of poor time management

    - Prioritizing is the key to effective time management

    - How to get a lot done in with as little energy as possible

    - How to stop multitasking and become more productive

    - Why you need to be intentional with your to-do list

    - The benefits of automating repetitive tasks

    - The difference between urgent and important tasks

Your brain requires energy to make decisions throughout the day. So when you reduce the number of decisions you need your brain to make, you actually reduce your cognitive load, which can free your brain space for the more creative and important stuff. If you're struggling with productivity, you need more than time management techniques. You need to work on your energy management.
