    Show notes

The consensus is clear in this week's feedback. The majority of us think the new tribe could have done much better with the new name, but we all enjoyed the episode. This may be a standout season. We're seven episodes in and still enjoying it. It's great to have so many people left in the game that seem to understand what they're doing.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Fifteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 7 as well as predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great show. This week we heard from: Jill, JamesG, Rashmi, Sarah and Marla, Boston Mark, Drew, BrandonB, Jody, JimR, ColdMike, Josh, Liam and Becca, and Paul.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 7 of Survivor Worlds Apart Apr 03, 2015
    Show notes

This week we interviewed Kelly Remington. She left the game in episode 7 of Survivor Worlds Apart. We did not see much of her early in the game, but she soon emerged as one of the most savvy players of the season. She maneuvered with grace through a group of hotheads that appeared willing to rage at the drop of a hat. She endured a head injury, and a tribal shuffle that separated her completely from her alliance only to be taken out when they reunited and appeared to be on the verge of taking control of the game. Listen to this interview to hear why the Blue Collars thought there were no idols, her tips on managing a power alliance, an update on her head injury and more!

    Worlds Apart Episode 7 Apr 02, 2015
    Show notes

That was by far one of the best demonstrations we have seen of the power of the HII to change the outcome of Tribal Council. Unfortunately, it will not by itself be enough to swing the balance of power in favor of the new underdogs, but it definitely will force some folks to rethink their endgame plans. A dominant alliance emerged with this week's voting results. It will be interesting to see if they can hold it together to impose their will on the game. We have lots to discuss after the merge. What did you think of the new tribe name? How about the new Individual Immunity necklace? Where you surprised that Will jumped ship so quickly? Do you think anyone from the old No Collar tribe will survive? Were you impressed or disappointed by anyone in the Immunity Challenge? Who do you think is most likely to find the remaining HII? Who is most likely to break ranks with the controlling alliance? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here is the new merged tribe after episode 7. Merica:Carolyn, Dan, Hali, Jenn, Joe, Mike, Rodney, Shirin, Sierra, Tyler, and Will

Worlds Apart Episode 6 LF Mar 28, 2015
    Show notes

This episode can often represent a critical stage in the game. Actions taken here should be done with an eye towards establishing a controlling alliance going into the merge. The big question this week is did Escameca make the right choice when they decided to throw the challenge, and did they vote out the biggest threat to their success? We had another great episode and are excited to see how the merge plays out in the next one.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Fourteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 6 as well as predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great show. This week we heard from: Barbara, ColdMike, Samantha, Rashmi, Sarah, Marla, JamesG, Drew, Jill, JimR, Ann, Jeremiah, Josh, and Paul.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 6 of Survivor Worlds Apart Mar 27, 2015
    Show notes

This week we interviewed Joaquin Souberbielle. He left the game in episode 6 of Survivor Worlds Apart. He got off to a rocky start when his first alliance was voted out of the game, but seemed to recover by quickly making friends with Tyler. It looked like his ability to make friends fast was working again after the tribal shuffle, but his budding bromance with Rodney backfired and got him voted out. Listen to this interview to hear how not being a fan impacted his game, why they targeted Joe, what else he wished they had shown and more!

    Worlds Apart Episode 6 Mar 26, 2015
    Show notes

It looked like Escameca, the blue tribe, was destined to dominate all the challenges this week, but the new Nagarote really surprised us! They all did well, but Jenn really shined in that reward challenge. It was a bit sad watching how the two alliances in Escameca approached Sierra. In those types of situations, it can be really powerful to simply let the swing vote decide who to vote out. Do you think Dan was still complaining that Sierra was partially to blame for how they treated her as he watched this episode tonight? What did you think about Mike's logic for throwing the challenge? Would you be comfortable taking a risk that big in the game? Is it a big enough play to win it all? Did you agree with Sierra's choice? Who will emerge as the controlling alliance after the merge? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episode 6. Escameca/Blue:Dan, Joe, Mike, Rodney, Sierra, and Tyler Nagarote/Red:Carolyn, Hali, Jenn, Kelly, Shirin, Will

This week's double header ran the gamut of emotions for many fans. Some were thrilled with the results, some called foul, others were really sad. The tribe shuffle appears incredibly lopsided, but so far this season has been full of surprises and we are certainly hoping for more as we head into episode six.

This week we interviewed Max Dawson. He left the game in episode 5 of Survivor Worlds Apart. Max was such a well known super fan that he was spotted even before the game began. This week we interviewed Lindsey Cascaddan. She left the game in episode 4 of Survivor Worlds Apart. Lindsey's tattoos and confrontational personality ensured that she stood out from the start. What a treat! We got an extra episode this week with a lot of great action. Now that we know the castaways a little better, we saw the return of the classic reward challenge. Even with the extra time spent on the action of the extra challenges, we still got some great insights into the social aspects of the game too. One of this season's themes continues to be the lack of self awareness. Shirin, Max, Rodney, Lindsey, and Dan seem to find new ways to demonstrate this each week. Kelly, on the other hand, serves as a great contrast to this clueless crew. It was great to see her highlighted this week. Did your perception of anyone change significantly after the shuffle? Who do you think is in control of each tribe? Will the red tribe get decimated in the upcoming challenges? Who is Sierra better off aligning with? Is there a solid five in control of the red tribe now? Who do you think will be next to go?

Here are the tribes after episodes 4 and 5. Escameca/Blue:Dan, Joaquin, Joe, Mike, Rodney, Sierra, and Tyler Nagarote/Red:Carolyn, Hali, Jenn, Kelly, Shirin, Will
